I purchased a Trane home AC unit in 2017 and was provided a 10 year warranty. The evaporator coil developed a leak and I contacted *****'s local dealer who demanded $3500 to fix the unit (under warranty) after charging me $400 to diagnose the issue. I contacted *****'s support center and have called and emailed them numerous times. They keep asking me to email them the same information over and over again and there's no follow-up from them. I have tried to email *****'s management - to no avail. I find this business to be unresponsive to their customers.

Do not buy Trane AC units. We live in ************** where AC units are critical. We have a 4 year old Trane AC unit. In the 4 years, the compressor has had a major failure and the coils have had 3 leaks. Each time it has taken weeks to get the parts. In the past, Trane blamed COVID. But now we are well out of COVID problems and we have been waiting over 2 weeks for the coil and Trane has provided no date to the distributor for delivery.Buy Trane at your own peril.

We purchased a Trane 2.5 yeas ago. Recently it stopped cooling We had lost all our Freon due to a leaky valve that our technician said had been bad since we got the unit. Trane refused to pay for the Freon or the service call (even though it was Tranes fault that we lost all our Freon). A week later the main coil started leaking. Again Trane refused to pay for anything but the coil. We bought Trane because we THOUGHT it was the best. We were WRONG. Needless to say, well be looking at other brands when we replace this unit.

Trane is horrible. I purchased a brand new system 3 years ago. Manufactuer defective coil causing hole and all refrigerant to leak out. Been without air for 10 days, its 97degrees out and they can replace at the end of july. 6 more weeks. But "they are sorry". Never buy a trane!!

Purchased new construction home in December 2019, it's 5/5/24 and Trane HVAC has leaks on coils and needs to be replaced with 7lbs of freon at a cost of $1400. Your slogan "it's hard to stop a Trane" well getting it to work is even harder. I want to be reimbursed for the faulty coils and freon.

Trane's marketing slogan "Its hard to stop a Trane" in my case is a load of c*** My heat pump failed after only 4 years. Heat pump coil and valve. Trane covered the material only. I had to bear the out of pocket cost that amounted to nearly half as much as the new pump and handler. I contacted Trane and didn't even get the courtesy of a reply. I'll never buy anything from this company again.

I recently purchased a house, and my HVAC system broke down, but I discovered that there was a warranty that I was not made aware of. When I contacted Trane to inquire about the warranty, they informed me that the warranty had not been transferred to my name, and I would not be covered for any repairs or replacements. I unknowingly missed the 90-day transfer window as I did not work with a realtor and purchased the house through a leasing agency. Please be aware that the system is only 6 years old, and the warranty is for 10 years. According to Trane, the warranty reverted to a 5-year warranty because the transfer was not submitted in time.I was shocked and frustrated by this news, as I had no knowledge of the warranty when I purchased the house. Trane has forced me into a very difficult situation where I will have to pay thousands of dollars to repair or replace the system because of this loophole.Trane is taking advantage of me because at no point was, I made aware of the warranty although they knew my exact date of closing and that the home was under new ownership. I know this because they were able to pull up all those details when I called the warranty department. I am now faced with the difficult decision of having my wife and 3 young children in a cold *****************) or paying to replace a second HVAC system in less than a year. Yes, I replaced my other system a few months ago but that system was 20 years old so had anticipated it going out of commission.I am extremely disappointed in the lack of transparency and communication from Trane as well as their lack of empathy. I would caution anyone considering using this company to be aware of their policies and make sure that all warranties are transferred properly when purchasing a home.

We purchased two Trane heat pumps, two air handlers and two thermostats in 2020. A few months after the warranty expired both air handlers began to leak. We were told Trane had leaking problems with their air handlers at that time. Our cost to repair exceeded $3,300. We reached out to Trane for assistance however they never responded.

Bought new Trane hvac system. Unit broke within two weeks of install. Was told by Trane customer service that it would be **** business days before part arrived. Nevermind that it's freezing outside. Another 500 *************** bill to heat my house due to poor quality parts. Will never use, nor will I ever recommend trane in the future. Use ********** instead, much better!!!!

We have been long time customers of Trane, and have had multiple residences, all with Trane products. Recently, we became aware that when our house was built, **************** (a Trane approved dealer) failed to register the units, nor did they advise us to do it. At our other properties, **************** always registered the products as soon as they were installed. Since we've had this particular house, we've had numerous issues with the air handler- all the same issue that has had 3 service calls without fixing the problem. We've also had to replace the outdoor compressor, which is 5 years old, and was just a few weeks out of warranty. For both of these issues if **************** had registered the products, a 10 year warranty would have applied. But because of the dealer error, we got a 3 year warranty on the inside unit and a 5 year warranty on the outside unit. I called Trane to request compensation and the proper warranty given the situation and our long term relationship with Trane. I was advised to send an email with documentation, which was done. No more than 12 minutes later, I receive an email back that they were declining any remediation. I wrote back asking for an escalation to a higher level, and received another email back from someone in the same Department. If you have an issue and think they are going to help you, they won't. It's a real disappointment as Trane never was like this before. Their attitude to me was basically ''tough'. They aren't standing behind their products or their dealers. We'll go with a less expensive option for our next purchase.
