I am 87 years old widow and homeowner of a Trane system that is still under warranty. I was told, the part needed to repair the system is no longer available (not sure how this is allowed), so I will need to buy a new system. I do not understand how the manufacturer can do this and not honor their warranty. I was also told by Trane Service that they are no longer offering concessions or unit swap outs for these units even though they are still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Then I was told they will only offer a $600 per compressor discount on the replacement unit. The compressor is $3k (and not available), forcing me to have a new unit installed for over 6K.

I have been a loyal customer of ******************** for three decades. My ten-year-old furnace went out and the parts will take two weeks to obtain from Trane. The failure occurred when the nighttime temperature was going down to 26 degrees. I was told that the advantage of going with Trane is that parts are always readily available. I guess that I will not be buying any more Trane systems in the future. Beware to consumers, the premium price of Trane units does not guarantee service. *****************************

New complete system installed January 2019. Total installed cost $6780. To date have replaced Defrost Sensor for $140.91, Heat Pump Compressor for $1406.79 and Heat Exchanger Evaporator Coil for $2269.01. ************* of $3816.71 or 56% of original cost. All repairs under Trane 10 year 'warranty'. Trane uses bad OEM parts in their units.

Back order fan blower 5 months and no word. System is 16 months old. I thought I was making the right decision to purchase all new Trane units for my apartment building wow what a mistake. Spent hours on the phone after months only to be ran around with in different departments, a rental unit has been rendered a un-rentable at $2400 monthly loss and running. Now seeking legal enough is enough A one star rating is far too generous for a system that is completely inoperable. They dont care at all.

Trane system 4TWR5036H1000AA professionally installed 4 years ago and serviced twice a year has had nothing but problems. Capacitor failed, compressor failing, noisy reverse valve, etc. The installer is very reputable and my Trane warranty will cover the part but paying 1500$ for labor and refrigerant on what I consider a new system is both frustrating and unfortunate. I dont expect Trane to care much as they have a 10 year parts warranty. This seems to allow them to send out defective units with minimal warranty costs on their end. After paying 7k dollars, then repeated small parts costs and preventative services every year I would expect a warranty that covered the entire unit with labor for a failure if this magnitude. None of this is fault of the homeowner or installation company. I chose to pay more for a Trane unit over other brands for peace of mind and quality name but it seems instead I got a subpar product and simply paid a premium for a fancy label. I find a 4 year old unit professionally installed and serviced above what is common to fail constantly is completely unacceptable. Nothing stops a Trane except perhaps normal use.

We have a unit that was registered when the previous home owner installed it in 2017. However if you do not re-register it when you purchase a home the warranty doesn't transfer. Obviously paying big money for Trane does not include an actual 10 yr warranty if you don't stay on top of getting it registered. AND, the diagnostics to discover a unreliable warranty type repair is NOT covered under warranty. Parts only?! WTF. 90% of the bill is labor and refrigerant. What kind of warranty is that?

Poor quality product. I had to replace my compressor in less than two years.

In May/June we discovered our blower motor to our furnace wasn't working. So we called the company we go through. Since then we've had nothing but excuse after excuse of why they ( Trane ) can't find the blower motor for our furnace. Take in mind it's all under warranty. So this whole summer no central air and now soon to be no heat. At my **** end because it's the beginning of October. And winter is knocking g at the door.

My TRANE 1.5 ton AC compressor stopped working in jan. 2023, complete system was installed by their certified dealer in 2018.This dealer diagnosed first that the brand new Wifi thermostat is not working. Changed it, with a top $ charge. Then found that the compressor is not working, replaced it, with a top $ charge. In Feb. 2023 the compressor went down again, dealer came back to replace it, without a labor charge In Sept. 2023, the compressor went down again. Dealer could not diagnostic the problem, ordered new compressor. They assumed that there was some kind of acid in the machine, or bad spirit (!)I sincerely don't know what there are talking about. I refused to install and pay for another defective compressor. I called TRANE who confirmed the whole unit should be changed but cannot do it, because the warranty is on parts ONLY. I have to pay to install each defective part, but dealer does not know which, no guarantee it will work !!!!... From my experience, TRANE and their dealers are definitly going down the DRAIN... Professionnally they will rip your money , so stay away choose a current reliable company.

I had an XV18 installed March of 2022. The compressor motor failed 09/27/2023. I am located in ******* where it is wildly hot and they are giving the installer a 4-6 week lead time on the replacement motor. That is unacceptable for what is considered a top of the line product. It is a wildly expensive piece of equipment that suffered a catastrophic failure in less than two years and I am being told my family will have to spend a month and a half, at least, cooking in our home.
