We had a new Trane system installed in our newly built home in February of 2023. We moved into our home in March and began to receive our electric bills, which appeared to be normal. Our June/July 2023, electric bill was for $640.27, when our previous bill for ******** was for $180.68. After contacting our electric company and disputing this outrages amount, we were advised that our meter was working properly. We then contacted **************** that installed the system. The technician discovered that the defrost board in one of our compressors malfunctioned and was causing the system to run nonstop. We contacted Trane multiple time and we were advised that they would replace the defective part, but that they would do nothing with our electric bill. We explained several times that if it were not for the faulty part that we would not have incurred this outrageous bill, but they did not care to hear it or offer any assistance. We requested a call back from a supervisor and we were told that one would reach out to us, but to date we have not been contacted by anyone. Poor customer service and stay away from ********************. We have also contacted our home builder and HVAC company, advised them of our situation and have suggested that they sever ties with this company.

I just had a new 4 ton Trane AC unit, evaporator coil (Model# 4TXCC009DS3HCBB) and gas furnace installed August 30 by an authorized Trane dealer in *******, **. Two weeks later after the install, the evaporator coil suddenly develops a huge leak and all the refrigerant ends up inside the house. Fortunately the dealer found a replacement coil and replaced the defective coil the next day under warranty. The dealer said this kind of leak almost never happens on a brand new coil. I have been reading the other customer reviews on this site and many of them are also having the same problem with these new defective evaporator coils. I have a bad feeling this brand has quality control issues that I will end up paying for in the future. I should have stuck with Carrier. My old Carrier unit lasted 20 yrs with any major issues and no maintenance.

I purchased a new American Standard HVAC heat pump which was installed in February, 2019. In July, 2020, the unit stopped cooling which required the coil to be replaced over a month later. In July, 2022, the unit again stopped cooling, and this time, it needed a capacitor replaced. August 25, 2023, unit again stopped cooling and repair visited my residence, got unit cooling, and charged me for the call. Two (2) days later, August 27, 2023, unit again stopped cooling. Repair company came out the following day to advise me this time it was the compressor that had gone out and needed repair. Part was under warranty, but labor would cost me $1630. When I complained I either had a defective unit or it was improperly installed, service company said to take it up with the manufacturer which I have now done.I was assigned a case number on August 28, 2023, and provided all documentation via email on the same day. I was told it would be "high priority" and "escalated" as the unit is not operational. Received email on same day confirming receipt of my documentation. But as of today, despite two (2) phone calls, I have heard nothing from Consumer Relations.Fortunately, I am an attorney and have prepared a lawsuit which I will be filing next week if this issue isn't resolved by September 5, 2023. I am naming the installing company and Trane as defendants. It is not my desire to pursue litigation, but between the installer and the manufacturer, it is my only avenue for seeking a remedy. I am alleging a cause of action for breach of warranty, breach of implied warranty and breach of merchantability of product as it fails to perform as represented. I am also considering fraudulent misrepresentation on the part of the ***** pros" who installed and representations made by manufacturer as to reliability and performance of product. I will be seeking reimbursement of entire purchase price, legal fees and costs.

Ill never buy a Trane again!!! Sure other AC companies may have the same crappy no response or policies but just as I have never purchased a **** since early 90s and said Ill never buy **** again, Trane has lost a loyal customer for life!Im still under warranty however when I called, refused to send someone out to help, refused to send parts and demanded I find someone. Problem is, Ive gone through two companies, theyve been out 7 times between the two companies and neither company can solve the issue. Of course, these companies dont always come out for free My home, the home before this one and several rental properties all had Trane, the burned me and Im done!

**************** a brand new house 2 years ago and having a brand new Trane model 4TWR6036H1000AD air conditioning system installed that has already left us WITHOUT HEAT IN THE FREEZING TEMPERATURES OF WINTER and now WITHOUT AC IN THE HOTTEST SUMMER MONTH OF THE ***** 3 kids living in the house with NO AC FOR OVER A WEEK waiting for parts. Not only are we waiting for parts, we have to PAY FOR LABOR because only the parts are covered under the warranty. We had to buy TWO WINDOW AC UNITS and are confined to 2 bedrooms in our house because of Tranes FAULTY FAN IN THIS MODEL AC. We do not keep our house cooler than 70 degrees and there is absolutely no reason a BRAND NEW LESS THAN 2 YEAR OLD AC unit shouldnt able to cool a house without shorting out a fan! TRANE YOU NEED TO DO BETTER FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS AND ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR FAULTY UNITS!

I purchased a brand new Trane system for my home on June 28, 2023. Less than a month later, it stopped blowing cold air, during triple-digit heat index days in August in the south. The problem was a manufacturing problem with Trane - the aluminum coils and TXV need replacing but they make take 2 weeks or "unknown" time to arrive. I called and have have a ticket escalated to customer relations, but a case manager has not been assigned to my "level 3" case which was called in 6 days ago. I feel robbed. I have a power bill that is twice as high from an improper install as well. I have had to miss work 5 times so far and struggle to keep my pets cool during all of the heat waves we have had since the install. The air handler should be immediately replaced, I should not be waiting on parts on a system that is less than 2 months old, but I am not even getting a return call or email.

Trane is absolutely horrible and should be avoided at all costs! We have a ****** dollar XV20 which was working for 8 years. However, it had a mechanical failure and several of the parts inside the condenser were damaged beyond repair. At the recommendation of Trane we found "comfort specialists" who offered to repair the unit. After an incredible amount of work and wasted time, Trane has REFUSED TO HONOR THE 10 YEAR PARTS WARRANTY stating "acts of GOD" are not covered. They have not done any evaluation to determine why the unit broke. Apparently, they have communicated directly with GOD, who told them not to replace any of our parts. It is unfortunate that a company would be so deceptive, manipulative, and disgustingly greedy. Think again if you think you have a warrant or any sort of protection for your expensive Trane unit. After going back and forth with them, paying for service calls from "Trane comfort specialists" who they recommended, spending hours on the phone with Trane customer service, writing numerous emails detailing the recommendations of comfort specialists they have recommended they unilaterally and thoughtlessly denied our claim. Also, they told me my warranty wasn't valid after 1 month of poor communication, something they could have done immediately. The company is incredibly disorganized. Their customer service is inept, and the representatives no essentially nothing. They constantly move your case to different departments within Trane, however never seem to send any information to the new department. When you call technical support, they have you call customer service. Every email you send goes to a general email account, and you can never reach of person. You never receive any contact information in the reply. From the moment we started the process it was a complete waste of time. Please do not buy anything from this ridiculous company, you will undoubtably lose a tremendous investment.

I purchased a brand new Trane system for my home on June 5, 2023. Two months later it stopped blowing cold air (65 days to be exact), during triple-digit heat index days in August in *******. The problem was a manufacturing problem with Trane - the aluminum coils spontaneously sprung a leak. The day before it stopped working it leaked all the refrigerant into my house and created a smoky haze that I breathed in for hours. The ** company I bought the unit from replace the coils and now I see online about all the other people having the same issue as me. Stay far away from Trane products, they're terrible.

We had to replaced our old central unit with a new one and after getting bids from couple of local Heating and AC companies in ***********, ***** finally took the recommendation from ********* heating and air conditioning for $30,000 and with monthly payments of about ******. Well job got started after two days and it took the entire day to gets completed, nice AC and very high tech which we weren't used to it, can control the system right off your phone and much more. In addition to that we were told that we would get $500.00 rebate from out local power service company (CPS). We had this unit for about two and half month and have already made one payment and sent out the second payment which will be at their office in a day or two. On Saturday Augues 5th we visited our family and when we got home, the house was at 82 degrees and we had a error code on our thermostat saying er ****** and ******. So we called our dealer (*********) which we were told that they can not come in today but they will put us on schedule for tomorrow and proceed to tell us the cost of visit??? Explained to them that this is a two month old and it has a 10 years warranty according to sales person! and who sold us a unit that was much larger than our old unit and installer had hard time to installing this unit due to size of our space, and they had to modify the vent because of that. Operator responded that she can not see that they sold us any unit. But they still set us up for service on Sunday. I like to emphasize about the temperature in south ***** on August the we had excessive heat warning of over 105 degrees. So we had to go to hotel that night. On Sunday and my wife stayed at home all day and the service tech finally showed up around 2 PM (today's temperature is 107) and after working on the unit for about 1 hour,
