      As a Licensed Building Contractor I lam critical about every detail when someone is hired to do work for me. Carolina Carports from start to finish did an exceptional job. My initial dealings was through Millennium Buildings a sales agent for Carolina Carports and I can say that I put Lisa their sales agent through a great deal of work as it took 28 revisions of my designs before i finally figured out exactly what I wanted. She never hesitated in happily reviewing the changes I had made and submitting the pricing for my review. After doing several comparisons the pricing at Carolina Carports saved me several thousand dollars for the same quality of construction. After the contracts were finalized and my three buildings were ordered the process could have not gone smoother. Their scheduling department offered me several options for delivery and Freddy and his crew arrived on time. It was truly a pleasure to watch Freddy and his crew go through the passes of constructing three large buildings. The work they performed can only be described as truly exceptional. Freddy the crew chief even drove 6 hours back to Carolina Carports to replace a panel that was only slightly damaged. I inspected every detail of the work and I admit could not have received a better result if one of my construction crews had done the work. I am very happy with my buildings and the experience of working with Millennium Buildings and Carolina Carports.

      I signed a contract with Carolina Carports on 5/15/2023 for a carport to be installed. I was told by the local dealer that if my purchase was greater than $5,000, my install date would be within 4-6 weeks. If I purchased a carport that was less than $5,000 it would take longer because it would be delivered when a truck was headed to my area, so I ordered one greater than $5,000.

      I paid the required deposit, paid $175 for the plans for the carport, pulled the permit which was issued 5/30/2023 and took photos of the site.

      At the end of July, I received a call from Carolina Carports to confirm my order and schedule an install date of August 8th. She told me that we would need to be at the site at 7:00 AM because the installers started early in the morning. My spouse took a day off work to be at the site of the install. On Sunday, August 6th, your Georgia office called to tell me they were re-scheduling for Wednesday, August 9th. My spouse took another day off work to be at the site. On Tuesday, your Georgia office called to re-schedule again for Saturday, August 12th.
      I called my local dealer and asked him to contact the installers and stress how important it was that they install the carport on the 12th. I never heard back from him.
      My spouse drove 4 hours to be at the site on the 12th at 7:00 AM and waited for 5 hours for the installers to show up and they did not show up. They never even called me to let me know that they were not coming!
      I have waited for over 12 weeks for a canopy that I was told by Carolina Carports would be installed in 4 to 6 weeks. My spouse missed 2 days of work and wasted an entire Saturday waiting for the installers that never called or showed up!

      I sent a certified letter to the corporate office and never even received a response. Worst customer service that I have ever encountered!

      We appreciate you relaying your concerns. As we discussed on the phone, our contract does include information regarding delays in delivery. We also do not require that anyone be on site for install so long as the area is marked. We completely understand that may be the customer's preference but it is not required. It is my understanding that your unit has been successfully installed as well and your request was for compensation. I have requested that you visit the terms and conditions regarding such. We certainly apologize for your frustrations and any inconvenience.

      Beware before signing a contract and giving a deposit. Once you sign their contract, they can take as long as they want to install it and you are trapped in a binding contract! Do not believe the sales people that it will be installed within 4 to 6 weeks. No excuse for the worst customer service ever!

      My experience with Carolina Carports has been nothing but spectacular, from Amanda V***** my sales agent to the engineering department to Sanchez and his crew who worked in the unexpected rain for four hours to complete the job this past Monday.
      These guys deserve a special bonus in my opinion. They were absolutely soaked when they got done in the dark at 8:30 I might add. At least the last couple of hours they were inside but the soaking had already been done.
      I would recommend Amanda and the entire operation to anyone I know at a moment’s notice.
      I don’t understand what all the fuss is about in some of these reviews I’m seeing, but I guess you just can’t please everyone.

      Very dishonest, and no pride in what they produce. I contracted thru Alan's Factory Outlet who provided great communication and service. But little did I know they were a selling dealer for Carolina, who ruined the experience.

      My order was taken on Carolina's order form. I ordered upgraded metal structure and metal skin. The agreement clearly reads "12GA" and "26GA" so the whole building would be stronger. Later on, I find out that the Carolina cheated me and used 14GA tubing for all horizontal members. When I complained, I was told "Those aren't part of the structure". Laughable.

      The also don't read their own agreements. My drawing on their paperwork clearly showed the single garage door all the way to one side. Since the field notes given the crew basically state "Assemble the building" and nothing else, guess what, they put the garage door in the building ensuring that pulling anything in cut the space in half.

      I didn't pay them, told them this all was clearly actionable, and I intended to if not made whole. I explained they were in clear Breach of Contract, and that I would win. It took them 3 months to come back and make corrections.

      Alan's to their credit, refunded to me their commission, and I had multiple phone calls to explain what happened to me. I would never use Carolina again. They will give you every excuse in the world. I dealt with Nicole K , Heather S, and Sabra C (the most) at the company. Absolutely the worst contractual experience I ever had.

      We apologize that you feel your experience has been less than satisfactory. To clarify, CCI has notes where the placement of the garage door was both confirmed verbally during the scheduling call and by the contractor when they arrived on site. However, this has been corrected. The 14 gauge materials are the purlins to attached vertical sheet metal. Those are not part of the load bearing framing. Most companies use hat channel for this attachment but CCI chooses to use tubing to reinforce the attachment. That is not considered as part of the structural frame. It is my understanding that your concerns were addressed some time ago. We will follow with a phone call to confirm.

      Signed contract with local sales person in Fl. Then a month later corporate said need to pay for engineering. 2 months after that while waiting on engineering corporate informed in that although items were on my contract that errors had been made by sales person and its an additional $6000+. When I asked for a refund, they said sorry absolutely no refunds either pay the $6000 or walk away. So I lost $2500 deposit plus the $650 engineering fee. He said prices are subject to change. I asked what would stop them from adding more money due before the install he said they could do sonif needed. It's just a scam. It's sad that businesses treat people like this.

      We certainly apologize for any frustrations. However, CCI has not misled, scammed or defrauded anyone. The original order that was sent in by the dealer stated that you want a 1' overhang around the structure, However, they failed to charge you for any additional materials for such. Per the contract terms and conditions, CCI reserves the right to correct any errors made by the dealer. Additionally, you notified permitting that you wanted to make changes to the order and upgrade the sides/ends to vertical. The sides/ends upgrade and the 1' overhang request come to $5300 plus tax. At this time, CCI only has payment for the engineering which is $1042.00. CCI does not receive any portion of the down payment. The contract does state that down payments are non refundable. However, we cannot speak as to the policy of the independent dealer. You are not being forced to pay for any upgrades, those are personal preference options. You can remove the vertical sides/ends and the 1' overhang, maintain your current price. Additionally, please be advised that the engineering is based on CCI materials through authorized contractors. We have been advised that you have contacted the engineer and attempted to get CCI's name removed from the plans. This is an intellectual property and the engineering cannot be used with any other companies product as their materials would not match with CCI's. We are happy to move forward with your order once you decide which building you would like to proceed with.

      Poor craftsmanship, lazy service, lack of communication. Waiting over 2 months after installation to get repairs made. My garage leaks, I have 5 damaged panels, my door sizes were wrong, considering a lawyer now.

      We appreciate you taking the time to pass along your concerns. I have pulled this records. It appears that this unit was installed on 8/4. CCI sent the initial service order on 9/11. The contractor corrected your anchor concerns, inspected for leaks, made a list of panels/materials needed and reported to the office. The materials needed were ordered on the 13th when the contractor reported to the office. We have never had a report of door concerns but I will have a manager reach out to you directly to clarify. You are well within your 1 year workmanship warranty. We are committed to providing you service and correction for any verified concerns.

      I ordered a carport from these folks it was a joke they never showed up. Kept postponing installation. Finally had to cancel order. The never showed up.

There are a number of situations that can impact a schedule date after it has been set. We do pass along updates as soon as they are made available to us. Additionally, we explain the potentials for changes in dates in our contract so that each customer is aware that is a possibility. We certainly wish you the best moving forward.

      You folks know this is an ongoing problem. Don’t act like this is an isolated incident. I’ve had problems with all the subs you’ve sent out. This was the third building I’ve purchased. Y’all refuse to address installation issues

      Purchased the building in March. Took me a while to get my pad ready, I think I sent pics around July.

      4-6 weeks later, they show up and put the building up in 1 day. Not one single complaint with the entire process. The reviews had me nervous, but we love our building and have had no issues.

      They picked up all the screws on the ground, and their trash when they were done. Building is sturdy, no issues with garage doors or anything. It’s exactly what we bought.

      So I ordered a building through bulldog steel structures back in April of 2023. A 28x38 building. Wasn’t 3 weeks and I received a call from Carolina carports that they wanted to install on the week of Mother’s Day. I didn’t have my pad ready at the time. Explained the issue and was told it would be sometime in august. Received a call on the 2nd of august that they would be here on Tuesday the 7th. Because of bad weather they were delayed one day. The gentleman installing the building called me and said he was on his way and asked if he could drop the trailer off for the night and apologized for the delay. They showed back up the following morning and completed the entire structure in 12 hours. I knew going this route that I wasn’t going to receive weekly updates and “this is where we are in the scheduling roster updates”. They ain’t my buddies and the facility is hundreds of miles away. I wasn’t super concerned with an installation date and when they showed up it was constructed to my liking. They were courteous and picked up all the mess after completion. **** we even had side conversations. I paid the crew and he went about his day. I work for a large corporation and we are currently struggling to get any stock of excess parts, spare motors or anything of the works on a givin delivery date. So with that being said I’m happy with how everything went between scheduling and building completion.

      Avoid this company! Poorest customer service we have ever had anywhere!! We had 2 appointments set up for install. The first one we waited all day the day before for them to arrive. No call, no show that day. Then was told they couldn't because of rain so will be another several weeks before they could come again. That was April, after calling several times and getting no where they finally told us they would be here on July 27th late afternoon. Again we didn't see anyone or get a call. After several calls the next day to them we were told the contractor stopped and said he didn't have a ladder long enough. What??? Sounded strange to us as well. The thing that frustrates us is that unless you call them you get no communication at all. We were home on the 27th and didn't see anyone but they say they took pictures. If thats the case then why didn't they knock on the door or even leave a note?? We called and asked to talk to a manager, we didn't even get one sentence out and she hung up on us. So I emailed and again no response. Needless to say we will not be using their services . A very unhappy customer in Georgia

      We appreciate you taking the time to relay your concerns and apologize for any frustrations. The first appointment was interrupted by weather. Our GA Division did reach out by phone and left a message at the number ending in **** regarding the reschedule. When a route is interrupted by weather, we must supplement that load to be a full load before reshipping. During the second date, the crew did arrive on site. They immediately noted that there is an 8' tall wood based wall that they must install on. They took pictures of the site and reported to the customer service team at CCI. There are no ladders that would allow for the construction of this unit on this foundation. You asked to speak with a manager. During that call she explained that we had reviewed the photos taken by the crew and that installation was not possible on this foundation. After providing this information she was promptly hung up on. I have reviewed the phone records to verify the information provided. We are still very happy to provide you with a structure should you so choose, however, the location would need to be changed.       We were not going to respond to this but felt we must clear something up. On the first attempt we had been very clear we were only available that one day. He did not call until the next day when we were gone. Why not have called when they knew they couldn’t do the job because of rain. As for the wall being 8 feet is an exaggeration, it is 5’ and the structure is sound. What really upsets us is no one seems to call to let us know there’s a problem. The only way we found out was because we called you the next day to see why you hadn’t come. It’s the communication, and it’s terrible!! No we have found a company that is happy to take care of our project. You will never hear from us again.
