We ordered our 30x50 barn and a month after we got the pad ready and sent in our pictures they were calling to set up in January 2023. They were done in a day and a half. We love our barn. Yes the dealers are the biggest problem. They messed up our order but was able to get things corrected working with CCI. We are very Happy. Our neighbors have been stopping by asking where we got it from.

Had great service with them in the past but this transaction was frustrating.mistakes were made by local dealer and when i pointed them out was told contract says carolina carports were not accountable.two mistakes on the building order, which i agreed too, cost me more money.(their mistake, not mine). Finally got building installed and the foreman advised that the tracks to one of the doors was Not on the truck.the crew did a Great job on the building .i was told that the tracks would be sent with next crew.i waited two weeks an when i called was told it would be Another two weeks at least, before work would be finished.seems main office has little consideration on customer satisfaction.many times i was told i’d get return calls that Never happened.just for info, ive had three other buildings built by this company in the past with no problems, but this has been a mess.i cant move my tools, ect in the garage because I Have No Door....

We certainly apologize for your frustrations. In terms of the order contract, that is handled by a dealership, not by CCI. CCI does work with every customer to confirm and ensure they are receiving the intended product. If there is a dealer error, then the order must be revised which sometimes does cost additional depending on whether or not the revision requires additional materials. Our contract does include provisions for such since we are not directly involved in the sales process. In terms of the garage door, the contractor who installs the unit is responsible for securing, loading and purchasing the materials necessary for each unit. It does appear that the contractor in this case made a human error. The unit was installed on 3/8/23. The contractor checked in and reported the issue to CCI on 3/13/23, 4 days prior to your review. We immediately issued a service order which is being worked into a route for completion. Our ladies will contact you 2-3 days in advance of arrival. We appreciate your patience.

I could not be happier with our new 30x34 building. The personnel at Carolina Carports HQ were friendly and informative and the crew that installed our building did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to order another building from them!

Order a building in February of 2022, despite having a pad, and being ready to install that day, we were kept on hold until May. The dealer couldn't tell us why, just saying that they would call us. CC called to set up installation, then never showed up. Someone else called to go over the details with no idea the first install had been set up. After many calls to the dealer (who cannot do ANYTHING besides sign you up for a building) we were finally able to get an install date and they showed up. Fast forward to one February 2023 when I'm looking at what we financed with the lender Green Sky to pay off the loan, I have been paying 9.9% interest since February on a loan that was supposed to be 12 months same as cash. Dealer again, useless as far as resolving any issues, and referred us to CC. They said the loan was "too old" and the lender wasn't going to change it. So in total, I've paid $1200 extra for a building I waited 3 months to have installed. RUN, don't walk away from Carolina Carports and any of their associates. There have GOT TO BE better companies out there.

We certainly apologize for your frustrations. Unfortunately, CCI has no control over exterior financing sources. We have reached out to the finance company on your behalf to inquire as to your concerns. When the initial finance paperwork was completed by yourself, you opted for a 10 year payment plan. You have proceeded to pay under that plan and have only paid the minimum due. You certainly have the option of early payoff but cannot accomplish that with only minimum payments. You inquired as to whether you could refinance under the 12 month zero interest plan. Unfortunately, you do not qualify for refinancing. We wish you the best in obtaining alternate financing but CCI would be unable to assist with that.

I ordered a garage in 8/11/22. This garage needed to go on a stem wall. This meant the garage frame needed to built to exact dimensions. I submitted a CAD drawing of exactly what dimensions my frame needed to be, but the salesperson only wanted the width, length and framed opening of the garage door, stating components, locations...etc can be cut on site. I submitted pictures of my foundation on 9/28/22. I was given a lead time was 2 to 6 weeks. I did not hear from CC for over 2 months. The first time they called, they asked to verify the Dimensions. I referred them to the CAD drawing I provided, but they didn't have it. The install was scheduled for December. A crew showed up, but after some measuring they said they cannot install because the frame was built too wide. I checked the measurements and it was not built to the dimensions I specified. The crew stayed a while laying out chalklines and measuring the foundation. I called a few weeks later, and they told me that the measurements taken by the crew had been lost and they would come by to take measurements again. They eventually did. I got a call from CC at the end of February. The person on the phone asked to verify the measurements and had several of them wrong again. (this isn't complicated, its a rectangle, and one of their dimensions off by a foot). They also informed me that I had to pay an additional $1200 return fee because the crew wasn't able to install the first time. I refused pointing out their mistake. They checked with a manager, returning to say its not negotiable. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they would call back that afternoon. They did not return my call. This is not the first time someone from CC did not return my call. I'm still waiting now 5 months after submitting my pictures. CC does not communicate, return calls, insists on taking building dimensions over the phone instead from a drawing, very frustrated.

We appreciate you sharing your concerns. The original order that CCI received from the dealer was for a 27' Wide x 55' Long unit with a 54' long base. During the conversation prior to installation you relayed that you need a 27'4'' Width, which was adjusted prior to shipment. The unit actually needed to be 27'7'' Wide x 55'6'' Long with a 54'6'' base. The unit will also require Z trim which was not ordered on the original contract. The drawing that CCI received with the order only relays the original measurements. It was not until the contractor arrived and was unable to install that CCI received secondary measurements. Per the terms of the contract, there is a return fee accessed on orders that cannot be installed due to foundation issues. At no time did CCI receive a CAD drawing.

Thank you for responding. The original dimensions were 27x55 because the website did not allow me to specify in less than 1 foot increments. In the pre install conversation I asked if they had the drawing I submitted, again they said no, and they only need a few dimensions. I asked if they want the dimension to be "on center", or "on-edge". They said "on center", so I gave 27'4", which is correct for my foundation. The frame was built to the "on-edge" dimension. Which is why it came up short on delivery. So CC asked for the wrong dimension, or it was not communicated correctly to the factory. This would have been avoided if the sales person had the drawing (again I asked them to use it and they wouldn't). I just looked up the drawing attached to the original order and it is correct. Noone asked me about ztrim until the installers arrived. Also it's optional and would not have prevented the install from taking place. Furthermore I have agreed to pay extra for the ztrim. It's the 1200 for CC's mistake that I'm disputing.

Carolina Carports buildings seem to be well built and I believe I got my monies worth for the building. My complaint is with the contractors who assembled the building on my existing slab. The contractor stated my slab was not square but "we can make it work". The cement slab dimensions are 30" 8" deep by 38'8" wide. The 8"s are for placing the hanger bolts away from the edge ensuring good solid cement. The back left corner of the building is 10" from the edge of the cement (suppose to be 4") and the Front left corner of the building 1 1/2" over the edge of cement. The back right corner is right 1 1/2" hanging off of the cement and the front right corner is 11" from the edge of the cement. My complaint to Carolina Carports and I sent pictures is if the contractor would of went 4" off of the edges like the plans were drawn the building would of lined up better on the existing cement. Not perfect but better. The contractors went off of the left edge 4" and went with it. The key is the back left corner 4" off left edge and 10" off of the rear. I contacted Carolina Carports and explained my complaints. even asked if at least one person can come and just look at the building and its alignment. She said " I approved the contractor to go ahead with the assembly. Which I did but with the assumption "we can make it work" Making it work is not having the 2 corners of the building hanging over the edge of the cement and have 10" and 11" of existing cement on the other ends. If Carolina Carports would of just said "We did a poor job of lining up your building on the existing cement." I probably wouldn't be writing this. Yes Carolina Carports is a big company and I cannot fight them but that's Poor business. These contractors were only worried about assembling the building and getting paid. again poor business practices. Quantity over Quality is not the key to success. Its when Quantity/Quality meet together to accomplish the same goal. Unhappy customer!

We certainly apologize for your frustrations. CCI has spoken with the contractor and have reviewed the photos submitted. The concrete is very out of square and based on the review of the photos there would be no adjustment that can be completed to adjust within the parameters of the current slab. This is something that we would advise speaking with your foundation contractor about. The contractor measures the slab before starting every project. This is the reason they discussed prior to installation as you do have the right of refusal and the opportunity to correct your slab prior to installation. This would create a return fee if the crew is not able to install. However, you all chose to move forward with an as is installation. We can certainly send someone out to demonstrate that the slab is significantly out of square but this has already been acknowledged prior to installation.

Nothing good to say about this company!!! Paid deposit (on the end I got it back) and after 10 months I been told that they don’t want do deliver and install the shed as per contract. Not to mention that I have building permit issued based on their drawings that I had to pay for. Very rude and unpleasant to speak with.

We apologize for your frustrations. The reality is that the foundation you provided does not support a successful installation. In addition, you asked for CCI to install part of the structure with your intentions being to make it larger in the future. The permit for the larger structure was denied. CCI cannot be part of an effort to mislead the county as we strive for compliance in all areas that we service. It is my understanding that the dealer has refunded your deposit so that you can move forward with other plans.

CCI knew for 10 months what foundation I have and I got the permit from MoCo based on their drawings and my foundation, even so, I offered to do whatever is necessary to make installation possible. If as You stated “ we strive for compliance” You should know that I never applied for such a permit . It is unprofessional to judge anybody’s intentions. First side of the contract clearly states what was your obligation for installation (already permitted) and what material is for drop off. Second side of contract clearly states that buyer/owner is responsible for all permits and inspections. A lot more reasons from my experience that are telling why CCI is not accredited by BBB. I am asking CCI how is possible that, based on reviews and one star rating, there is never CCI fault and customers are never right?

I feel terrifying reading the reviews of other customers dealing with Carolina Carports. I believe I’m one of the lucky customers that did not put any money down for deposits. After my initial phone contact with them, their return calls and texting bombarded me so much as they would really want to reach to me to have my business. I made an effort to meet in person with one of their representatives in LaBelle, FL, aimed to place an order for a 30ft X 50ft carport. After this meeting, my attempts to reach them went in vain. Their calls and texting went silent as they are no longer in business.

Terrible company experience! I have purchased 3 buildings prior to recent experience going back ten yrs. I paid and ordered a 30x50 building in 2020 it took over a year to get slab poured Covid or whatever! Sent pics of slab and permit I get call back they raised the price due to price of steel increase by ten thousand dollars 35 percent increase steel did go up over that time and it went back down so I called two other companies who didn’t already have my three thousand dollar deposit and they were 5k cheaper and much better built buildings and they refused to refund my deposit too ! Between me and my two business partners we have purchased 7 buildings in last ten years they could care less for our loyalty I guess I should thank them for forcing me to check competing companies I didn’t realize what a shitty building they build do ur do diligence ! ****** ****

CCI does not receive any portion of the deposit. Per contract terms the deposit it retained by the dealer as their commission and is non-refundable. Additionally, per contract terms, CCI cannot honor a price beyond 90 days due to the potential for price variations. We certainly apologize that you were unable to get your foundation ready sooner. We appreciate your loyalty and hope that you understand that the contracts are in place and the terms listed are for a purpose.

Order placed 9/2/22, scheduler called 9/21/22 to schedule installation, but delays in material delivery for the pad meant we weren't going to be ready until 5 days later. I was told they would work it in, but here it is DECEMBER 15th, and not so much as a peep. The dealer I purchased through has been no help, so our brand-new RV is out in the weather. Such service! Work it in when, next year? Come on!

We apologize for your frustration. Just to clarify, we are only in each area every few weeks. Once a truck load leaves, it does take several weeks to generate another full truck load. When our ladies' state that they will work the order in, that means they will work it into the next available route. At this time we are scheduled through the new year due to the upcoming holiday. We will contact when we have a truck in the area and schedule 2-3 days in advance. We appreciate your patience and look forward to working with you.
