      Frustrating, ineffective, horrendous customer service. If you can actually understand the help desk rep you may eventually get connected to, their ability to provide help is an inconsistent c*** shoot.

      absolutely insane company. if your autopay doesn't go through that you have been using for years, even though all your other bills go through perfectly fine, you're supposed to know that your insurance will be terminated in 25 days unless you submit another payment. no texts, no calls, no emails, no notice besides a letter in the mail dated a month after the fact. now they want to collect hundreds of dollars in claims that were billed to a policy that was terminated because of their own autopay malfunction. should be criminal really.

      They are creating unnecessary difficulty around using Credit Cards as payment. Along with passing the fee along to their customers they also refuse to support you in problem solving processing issues. For a company who makes this much money I don't understand why they feel it's needed to make paying them such a hassle. I can only hope I get seriously injured so they eventually have to pay me back for all the time I've wasted trying to pay them. Insurance is a complete scam - stop robbing sick people.

      Stay as far away from BCBSNC as you can! The dental "coverage" is through Liberty Dental, and it is a total fraud, bait and switch. Useless insurance. I cannot wait until it's time to switch to a new provider. This has been the worst insurance coverage I have ever had. I give it NO STARS but was forced to pick one to post my review.

      They do not cover cost in network even with the premium insurance will not pay on prescription drugs they deem you cant have they will not pay on test that you may need to save your life I have a tumor on my spinal cord and they will pay for the test to find out if its cancerous or not their customer service will feed you a line of c*** just to get you to shut and go away they only care about their bottom line and how rich the company and ceo can get they do not care about you or your health I would give no stars if could run from company

      The Worst! Can you give no stars? They lie and say doctors are covered and are in network when they are not!!! Be careful! Basically, cannot find a doctor around who will take this insurance. This should be illegal! They are taking our moet monthly, yet, providing no service.

      I have been trying to get cordination of benefits resolved for the since July of 2022. I have sent emails, called several times, everytime I called they state, " the issue is being resolved," only to start back over each time I call. Then you are supposed to wait 30 days for the claim to be resolved. Now I am out of 30 days here and there, your bills will go to collections before being resolved by Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Options. I am not understanding how someone pays over $500 monthly for insurance only to end up paying out of pocket so their credit isn't impacted from the inability for the insurance company to handle claims. They are not denying the claim, they are not able to process because someone is dropping the ball, every call same answer, we are sorry, I see what the problem is, they are not seeing it, it is not in the system properly.

      If I could give it a zero I would. I have a 7 year old autistic grandson who only uses Pediasure peptide for his meal supplement. This supplement comes in a prescription which they say they cant cover. He is in the ******** ******** waiver program who has covered it for years. But they want Blue Shield to now take over. They have had every excuse as to why they won't pay for this supplement. So it's ok to pay your premium but if you have a secondary insurance they want them to pay for everything. Now my daughter has to pay for this supplement through Amazon. All those years ago when blue cross and blue Shield committed fraud is where they should have stayed. They shouldn't have ever again been allowed to reopen. Because this is nothing but robbery all over again. This is a 7 year old child!!! And my daughter calls them almost every day. I'm hoping people see this so they won't get this insurance. A lot of doctors are still scared to fool with them. And you cant get out of this insurance till November. So this supplement has to be paid till then.

      BSBC does not care about you, your money, your health, or well being. The website is not user friendly. The customer service is horrible. They will not help you or answer your questions. BSBC will make your life harder.

      I called for a quote and spoke to ******. I can not congratulate whomever hired him enough. I appreciate his integrity as a sales person and his patience. He took the time needed to be thorough, making sure that the affordable policy for me and my family worked with the doctors I needed to be selected. Even though the policy we found did not work for my daughters doctors in my area I still appreciate his effort. If the need arises I will be calling ****** back and getting a policy with blue cross. It's refreshing and less stressful speaking with someone who isn't only out for getting a sale, but actually helping people navigate the difficult process of buying the right health insurance.
