I signed up for a 1 dollar week trial with legaltemplates.net. Less than 5 days later after paying the $1.00 charge, I was charged $48.95 as a monthly subscription fee. When I filled out he application I didn't see anything about an auto-renewal or monstrous increase in charge. I cancelled and requested a refund for at least part of the $48.95 and was told I was responsible for knowing the stipulations of the $1.00 trial and because I hadn't cancelled in 7 days (it's still only been 5 days) that I was responsible for the $48.95 but I *still* could use their services for the remainder of the month. This completely feels like a scam and even if I"m out the money I wan't this posted so others do NOT use legaltemplates.netBusiness Response

I signed up for $1 to do one legal document. It said 7 day trial and then $1.95 per month. I cancelled my 7 day trial and as I was doing that my card got charged. $49 I did not sign up for the expensive plan during the trial. When I emailed they said they dont process refunds after the 7 day trial. Scammers in my opinion. I cancelled on day 7 and they charged my card anyway and wont refund my money.Business Response

My son needed a document and used Legal Templates from my phone , he told me it only cost 1$ so I let him use my debit card card, I noticed the 1$ on my bank statement and called the number to inquire , she told me there was no acct under my name so I went on and remember that my so needed it etc 9 days later I see a 40$ charge on my statement from the same company , I called and they refused to give me a refund saying something about a subscription , I called they said I had no acct on the 18 of *** so how the going to charge me when I called to make sure there would be no more charges , she said I had the wrong email address . That's the craziest thing I've ever heard , cause my debit card is in my name not an email address . I feel as if they purposely done this to charge me and the said no refund is do and the canceled the acct but why didn't they do it the first time I called. I think I got screwed on this and will never use there anything products. I would like a refund also it has overdrawn me at my bank and I live on a mthly check . plz helpBusiness Response

This company is not a good company to do business with. I cancelled this service but they billed me the same renewal fee they billed a lot of the same customers on this site. I was billed $39.95 by this company after I cancelled the service. The company is dishonest and should not be allowed to conduct business. I signed up for a one time deal to just pay for the one document I created. Then 7 days later Im charged $39.99! They tell you to just pay $1.00 for the document youve created, but thats how they get your card information. When I called to cancel it I was told by the sales rep they had no way of refunding my money at this time. Then they proceed to offer me a monthly membership of $4.95 ( which I declined). I wouldnt dream of continuing to do business with deceptive scammers!Business Response

I canceled the service on 6/26/24 I was billed again on 7/25/24 for a service I canceled a month prior. I was assured it had been canceled on 6/26/24. They have billed me monthly for a service I never used and have cancelled more than once. Yet I continue to be billed.Business Response

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCREWED INTO PAYING ONGOING MONTHLY FEES AFTER YOU ATTEMPTED TO CANCEL DURING THE ***** PERIOD. I like many of the other complaints on here, had a situation where I tried to cancel during the trial period, thought I did, then got charged anyway. They're are plenty legit companies out there that aren't desperate for $39, then try to reel you in with a 50% off forever discount to try to justify for them charging you. The brainless service rep responded to my email inquiry with this "Your credit card will not incur any additional charges as long as the account remains canceled. It's important to note, however, that any charges incurred up to this point are still your legal responsibility, as stated in our Terms of Use and displayed information on our website."Don't get caught up in the same situation as many others before DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
