On April 17th, 2025, I noticed a debit of $49.95 from my account from LT *********************** I did not make a charge or have a subscription from LT *********************** Upon further investigation, I found out that my son needed their services and signed up for a free trial subscription. He failed to cancel the subscription in time, which happens. I contacted the number that was attached to the transaction on my account and it was a bs number talking about giving away a free life alert button. There was no other option to speak to a live representative. I went on the website to find a number and opted to email them. That was April 17th and I never got a response. My account was then charged again today. I went on their website to find a number to call. Of course they were closed and they had an automated message that stated if you were calling to cancel a subscription, you would have to do so via the website and through your account. Of course my son did not know what email he used. He thought he used mine, but it wasnt the email associated with the account. Ok, cool, so I exited out of the browser and tried to put in the email we thought he used. It kept bringing up the initial email that I originally put in, prompting me to create a password and sign up for a free trial. After going through this five times, I decided to use another browser. Same thing! It still had my other email programmed into the browser so I could not change the email! This has to be a scam! You cant get in touch with anyone and God forbid if you try to log in with the wrong email, youre stuck! I highly doubt t recommend this website. Im sure they make more money off of forgotten about subscriptions than they make off of people actually using this service for real. And for $50 dollars per month?! Horrible experience. Since I cant get in touch with anyone, I had to cancel my bank card. I cant risk this company taking another $50 dollars from me. BEWARE!!!!Business Response

I am submitting this formal complaint regarding ************************** due to deceptive billing practices, a lack of transparency regarding their services, and their refusal to issue a refund for an unauthorized charge.I visited LegalTemplates to access a single legal document and, at no point during the process, was it clearly disclosed that I was enrolling in a subscription plan or a free trial that would result in a recurring charge. I believed I was making a one-time transaction to download a document there was no obvious indication that I would be billed after a set period, nor any prominent information about a subscription or automatic ********** my surprise, I was later charged [insert amount] without any prior notification or clear consent to such a charge. When I contacted LegalTemplates customer support to request a refund and explain that I had not knowingly agreed to a subscription, they denied my request and offered no satisfactory resolution.I believe this experience reflects a pattern of misleading marketing, unclear disclosures, and predatory billing practices. Customers should not be charged for services they did not knowingly enroll in, and companies have a responsibility to ensure that billing terms are explicit and transparent not buried in fine print or omitted from the purchase process altogether.I respectfully request that:A full refund be issued for the unauthorized charge.The BBB review LegalTemplates business practices for deceptive or unethical conduct related to unclear subscription enrollment and billing.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I signed up for the free trial. I tried several times to create a simple lease. The wizard was unable to stop leaving blank spaces for parking spots. That was the one and only time I used Legal Templates. When I tried to cancel my LegalTemplates account, I missed that cancellation time by less than half a day. When I reached out to the company through their chat I was told through very long and scripted paragraphs that I missed the cancellation window and there was nothing to be done. Then as I finished reading these responses and started to type a response, the representative said that he had not seen a response and immediately ended that chat. Account: ************************* ******* called me regarding a transaction of $49.95 to my account. I did not authorized this transaction. I was only using the service under the trial period. This is deceiving. You advertise a "Free" Template and then hook us into the 7 day "Free" trial and then charge us. This is fraud advertising. Please return my money. I only needed the service for one document. I am going to report you to the BBB They won't return my money. I do not intend to use the services. Hi I have been charged multiple times by this company and I have tried to cancled multiple times can you please help me? February 27, 2025 I purchased a legal document for $1, to help my 18 year old son to purchase a home by owner. I knew we were supposed to cancel a subscription with 7 days or we would incur a charge. March 1, my husband lost his job in the government cuts, no notice, no severance pay. We forgot to cancel. As soon as we saw the charge on the credit card we immediately called to explain the situation. We sat waiting on their "live chat" for over 30 minutes. Their website directed us to email them. I sent an email that day, explaining the whole situation and asking for mercy on our $49.95 mistake. They sent an email back saying the only way to resolve these issues was on their live chat. It is an endless circle and a complete waist of my time. I see others have been able to resolve complaints with them through the BBB. So anyone willing to go to the trouble of reporting their complaint with BBB might get refunded. Probably saves them from having to refund very many people!Business Response

I signed up for the $1 trial and was dissatisfied with the services. When I tried to cancel my LegalTemplates account, the sign in was under the wrong email address and said I had no action to take. The SAME DAY that my bank was charged ***** I contacted support, who informed me that it had been under my business email and not my personal email as I had previously thought and hence why I had no action to take. Yes, that is my error there. I explained the miscommunication between my partner and I regarding email accounts, told them that I never used their services at all after the FIRST day of signing up (I couldn't even get the document I originally signed up for to download because the site is not user friendly) and asked them to please refund my money and cancel my account that I had originally attempted to do in the beginning. After asking about my card info and the correct email used (back and forth emails) I am then told that they cannot issue a refund because of their system, but I will not be charged further AND I still have access to their templates. I clearly stated I DO NOT WANT THE SUBSCRIPTION, I WANTED TO CANCEL AND ATTEMPTED TO BEFORE THE DEADLINE, AND CONTACTED THEM THE LITERAL SAME DAY AS THE CHARGE. On April 13th, I thought I was using the "Free" template to convert some PDFs to JPGs. I was charged $1 for that even though it said it was a free 7 day trial. I was planning on cancelling right after, but I couldn't find where to do that. I noticed today that the $1 fee was charged to my card, as well as a $38.95 charge as well. When I went back into my account and actually found where to cancel my subscription, I was under the "monthly plan" - even though that's $9.95 - not $38.95. I tried getting in touch with the online chat, but nothing ever came up. I am really frustrated because I thought I was getting a free deal because that's how it was advertised, but instead I was scammed and money was taken from me. I have now cancelled my subscription, but I would really appreciate getting a refund for what I was charged.Business Response

On April 13, I attempted to complete there "free" template. To find our it would cost $1 for their 7 day trial. I did agree to that with the intention to cancel directly following. However, I could not find how to cancel the subscription. And my sign in no longer works. Requests for a password reset support via their website goes nowhere. Now a $48.95 subscription fee has shown up on my credit card. The phone number goes to an unsubscribed toll free number. Their chat says they have to connect me to a live agent who never appears.
