I had contracted them in 2016 to install French Doors with blinds in the windows in 2016; in which i do see after logging into this site that at the time they were not an ROC in *******; they installed them, and I have a 10-year warranty with them for the glass and/or any defects etc. Needless to say the lever for the blinds came off so I called them and the girl said that they did not install this door!! I said that they did and I have the paperwork and contract in my hand. She then proceeded to tell me that I would have to contact another company to repair. I said that I have a 10-year warranty and they need to honor. She then stated that since they do not install these doors and again I said in which you did that they will not be able to do anything. I am very angry as now I have to have another company come and pay them to replace what should have been still under warranty. I would not recommend this company to anyone,Cornerstone Building Brands

We had Mitten siding put on our new home five years ago. Within the first year, the siding started to buckle on one side, also lifting on the front of the house, exposing the barrier. We contacted Mitten asking that they come out to see what was going on. They asked us to send them a sample of the siding. This would involve is removing and then cutting the piece of the siding - as they said they did not want to receive the full length of the piece - then mailing it to them at our own cost. We emailed them a few times regarding this issue, asking if they would send someone out to have a look. They have chosen to ignore us. **** ***************Cornerstone Building Brands

We have a relatively new house (Built and moved in in last 3 years. We have now had two windows shatter in cold weather on there own. Two windows in 2 years just from weather. Very disappointingly poor quality. It takes about 5-6 weeks for them to fix these windows and it comes with a Hefty price. Please carefully consider alternatives if you are having new windows installed.Cornerstone Building Brands

Mr. ******,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely regret to hear about your experience with your windows and understand how frustrating it can be to deal with these issues.
While our warranty does cover certain aspects of product defects, it does not include shipping and handling fees, which are outlined in our warranty terms. If you have not already submitted a warranty claim for your windows, we encourage you to do so via our online warranty submission form so we can assess the situation and assist you further.*****************************************************
Please feel free to contact us directly if you have additional details or need assistance with a claim.

Absolute trash windows, their glass is so poorly constructed, they dont warranty the actual glass against anything including manufacturing defects that result in cracks from temperature changes. When you file a claim they will spend weeks asking for more and more pictures of labels that dont exist, only to then say oh we dont cover cracks to the glassCornerstone Building Brands

Mr. *************** you for sharing your feedback. We regret to hear about your dissatisfaction with our warranty process and the outcome of your claim.
To clarify, cracked or damaged glass is not covered under the terms of our warranty unless it is caused by a verified manufacturing defect. As part of our standard claims process, we request detailed information, including photos and labels, to determine if a manufacturing defect is present. In this instance, your case was reviewed thoroughly and found to fall outside of warranty coverage. We provided you with a copy of the warranty terms for reference to ensure transparency.
We understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience. Should you have additional concerns or require further clarification, we would be happy to assist.
Thank you,

I bought a home with 'newer looking' ******** windowd throughout. One tilt latch broke and I applied for replacement online under warranty replacement 3 times. They go back and forth asking for serial numbers and more that were not on my **********************. I did send them a pic of window with the ******** logo engraved in them. I tried getting their attention by emailing, ******** messaging twice and calling (forget that, you will never reach a live person) without any luck. I will make sure to never buy this company's products.Cornerstone Building Brands

1 starMy home was built in 2016 with ******** Windows. For the first several years their warranty support was superior. Parts needed were shipped quickly and customer service was ********************. They had to send a contractor out to fix all my D/H window balances because they were not installed right at the factory. Yikes, Quality control issues??? Since ***************************************** service. Weeks or even months to get replacement parts. They seem to have added ****** expensive shipping and handling which is way more than other parts suppliers. Seems they are not making it worth the effort to submit a claim. Maybe if they could get their act together and go back to their past performance then we might reconsider our rating. BBB seems way off the mark **** as t**** does not seem to be anything but negative reviews. I would avoid ******** in the future.Review fromJessica T

1 starHorrible customer service. I contacted this company for a locking mechanism replacement on my sliding door which is still under warranty. The door is less than 2 years old. You cannot contact this company by phone, email is the only option. It took over 3 weeks for them to respond to my request to replace this part under the warranty which they proceeded to tell me that I had to pay $15.00 shipping for the replacement part which is more expensive than if I bought the part on amazon myself. Horrible customer service and low-quality **********************.Review fromDarren M

*** ******* * **** ******* **** ****** ***** *** ** **** ******Used to be so good. No wonder the great crew we had went elsewhere. But of course now that there is warranty work to be done, not a peep out of them for two weeks. Two weeks ago guy showed up(ok I take a fraction of the blame for this bit) at 10am( we were told he’d be between 11 and 2pm), so he could not get in the house….however he then proceeded to tell me he couldn’t do the work because he needed his helper who neglected to tell him he wasn’t showing up that day. The guy then said he couldn’t do it on his own because he might cut his hands. And now radio silence. ***** *** ***** **********Cornerstone Building Brands

1 starWe built a new semi-custom home in North ******* with a very reputable local home builder, 5 years ago. Installed in our home are PlyGem windows. Our home builder is synonymous with "energy efficiency" and even advertises a chocolate bunny in the attics of their homes, which will stay cool in the hot Florida summer months. Being a Florida native (born and raised in **), I know how brutal the hot ******* can be, especially for our homes (roofs, siding, exterior paint, etc.). Our last home, which we also built, using a known nationwide homebuilder was 15 years old when we moved. AC was still original, roof original and also ALL windows. Never once did we have any issues with our windows. Flash forward to our NEW "energy efficient" home, we assumed that being 15 years newer than our previous, we could expect a great efficiency from our homes windows and doors. NOPE. Since moving in (year 1), we have replaced THREE sets of windows (4-5 at a time). I am very persnickety about having our home windows cleaned after pollen season and use a professional to come out annually to do a proper cleaning. After each visit, my window cleaner has pointed out numerous windows that have failed, due to the inner film between the panes, failing. He explains, because our home gets full sun all day long, the ** protective coating begins to etch, bubble and become hazy, causing the window to appear to have a cloudy effect. Explain to me WHY this is happening? Even in our previous, builder grade home, we did not experience anything of this nature. We have since not only had to request new windows from PlyGem, which by the way is an act of God to receive, but we also have to pay someone to come out and professionally install. Shouldn't technology IMPROVE over time? PlyGem, your quality control is atrocious at best. How disappointing to know that after my 5 year warranty expires, I will have to pay $500-1000 per window to replace. PlyGem, your product is crap! Do better.
