      I would have given them no star at all if I could. ***************** garbage, billing, garbage, service, garbage. Yup, cancelled my service because somehow, they always miss to pick up my trash twice or sometimes 3x a month and when I filled a complaint, they always turn it around on me. Cancelled my service on August 2024 and still got billed for $130 in December 2024. If I were you, avoid headaches by not using this company for your garbage service. This company is literally GARBAGE.

      Pick up the trash in **********************! The snow is over! ******** customer service, local office told me they had other customers to take care of, bring the garbage in ourselves and that business customers take priority... our subdivisions garbage is all at the top of the hill- rates just went up and the service tanked- ridiculous

      If I could select a rating below one star I would. Their transfer facility is staffed with rude embaciles. Customers are treated like criminals. I was expected to know and understand a bulk item drop off protocol which is neither posted, explained or offered. When the workers realise a customer doesnt know the drill they point their fingers, then berate them and threaten rather than asking or attempting to assist. I was told if I didnt like it I could go to a specific service which is not providing the same. They devote their customer interactions to throwing their weight around as opposed to providing the service we pay them for. After I became frustrated and unloaded my item in what they describe as the wrong spot, I was told to load it up, wait in line for an hour or more or they would force me to do the same, charge me with illegal dumping and charge an extra fee. When I refused a machine operator blocked my departure twice knowing I was heading to their office. He allowed me to depart only after I promised to call the police. So far they seem to getting by with these attracities by virture of holding a near ******** in our area. No other company provides residential collection service where I live.

      No stars. I called them to cancel my service because of high prices. They said that I was in the middle of my contract and wait until the end of October. The *** employee made a note to pick up cans at the end of October. They show up to collect their cans a week later. Now here it is December and they sent out a debt collection letter.

      The irony is not lost on me that GFL promotes their "Safe For Life" logo I approached *** in hopes there would be some degree of acknowledgement, responsibility, and accountability - to show that the company practices what it preaches and to review to get to the bottom of how the back of one of their trucks could inadvertently dump a bunch of rocks on the Trans-Canada highway where vehicles travel at >100 km/hr. From the *** website:"Safe for Life: every worker, subcontractor, visitor, and member of the public The health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities we serve is our number one priority, and incorporated into every stage of what we do. GFLs safety culture, Safe For Life, reflects our ongoing pledge to the health and safety of every worker, subcontractor, visitor, and member of the public, in every service we provide."Fortunately this particular incident didn't lead to a multi-vehicle accident as it easily could have and that subsequently no one was injured - many rocks flying across the Trans-Canada at speeds over 100 km/hr can have serious consequences, Our vehicle is just a possession. While we incurred financial implications because of this incident which is a result of a vehicle's contents operated by GFL not being secured, this was about principle. The attempt to alert the driver of the incident he caused was met with a wave, in the same way your response has been here - a virtual waving off and dismissing of this.GFL would not admit to anything and told me they only transport cardboard, etc. New tagline proposal:GFL: UNSAFE for Life!

      The guy purposely shakes the trash can and dumps trash everywhere.Then dumps it in his trash can on his truck this is a horrible company they are just trash Polluters they don't care about this world

      The absolute worst!!! Terrible and infrequent service and even though youre on AUTOPAY, it doesnt work and they put you in collections!!

      ZERO STARS. The worst business I have ever had to deal with. Always miss trash and recycling pick **** No sense of urgency to even pick up the trash. They also wont credit you back for their horrible service. Finally, after they took my trash bins without notice and said they would bring me another one in 7-10 business days, I CANCELLED their services. Enough is enough. Well apparently its not over. They told me they would refund the remaining quarter and that it would take 4-6 weeks to process. Its been 6 weeks and NOTHING. Ive called many times and no one seems to know anything. This company steals your money and they dont care about customer service. Save yourself the headache and find someone else. I just want my refund NOW

      I have dealt with *** for a number of months and have found their customer service to be atrocious. Last week, I called and spoke with a man who was extremely unhelpful and rude. *** had missed my garbage collection, and I did not want to wait a full month for garbage pick up. I was solutions orientated on the phone, even offering to pay for an additional pick up. The person simply said no to all of my suggested solutions. I got upset with this individual and said a comment I should not have. I was cancelled as a customer. I called today to apologize for what was said (even though my account was already cancelled). They refused to re-instate my account even though I am on the strata for the building and we are looking to set up a group/strata account through ***. They have continually missed garbage collection, some times leaving items at the bottom of the bins and ignoring scrap bins altogether. This is an example of a company that is a large conglomerate, who no longer cares about customer service. I have found ******************** elsewhere. 0 stars for ***. Unfortunately, I had to pick 1 to post this.

      When I changed providers earlier this year I called to cancel service to avoid any billing issues. I was told that I was up to date and everything would be taken care of by my sales **** 3 months later received a bill for services and when I called I was told that it would be taken care of and I would hear back from a sales **** I never heard back but received another bill in the mail. When I called again I was told that I would receive a callback which didn't come. Now they want to send it to collections. When I called they told me there was no record of communications other than the cancelation. I would avoid them as they lack the basic customer service abilities needed.
