This was my very first time moving across the U.S. and/or using a shipping container versus a U-haul when moving out of a house to a new place. As a first time customer, I highly recommend using **********************! We had a tremendous/helpful/responsive sales rep, and our first delivery/pick was absolutely amazing!! The overall experience with Pack Rat was a very smooth one; Especially for such a major transition in our lives when it comes to moving! Highly recommend using this company.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Will never use this service again, totally mis lead by **** the sales person about price. Told me $3990.00 and I was charged $5100.00 very dishonest and deceiving. Booked with 1800 pack rat and my pricing continued to increase all the way until my container was delivered. Each time I spoke to customer service I asked for my total costs and each time was told something different (its on a recorded line and would love management to listen to the conversations). After my container was picked up to be shipped I received a call the day after stating current Diesel prices were up and wed have to spend an extra $300! In that money you cant ask too many questions because they have all of your belongings and back you into a corner so you cant really complain. This has been almost 3 weeks now and trying to get in touch with management since my price went up almost $1,000 from when I first reserved it. I thought I had done enough research and found the company to use but it was not worth all the stress and extra costs. Go with a better company.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Someone from 1-800-PACK-RAT replied to my ****** review asking for order and contact info. Its not as if I can reply to their review response. Our two containers were picked up in ** on April 18. Its April 30 and they have not moved from their ***** facility. Getting a call back and update has been a nightmare. I have had one person actually call me back, but that was after multiple attempts. I was told our containers were shipping out yesterday. No surprise at all that they are still sitting in the same place today. Havent moved an inch. At this point, ** going to be filing a police report for stolen items and disputing the $9000 charge with my bank. If I have to pay movers to pick up items and move them from ** to **, Ill gladly take this company to court for every cost I incur. The container itself was great and the delivery and pickup was on time and professional. There is a lack of transparency on fees that are added on for a variety of reasons. We received a quote and setup an account. Prior to scheduling delivery, we called to change the size of the container and got a revised quote. Buried in the accounting, we found a "change fee" of $25 that we were not told about beforehand. I called and customer assistance agreed to reverse that charge. Later when we called to schedule pickup for the next day, we were told there would be a $50"next day" fee. However, we could have scheduled it at NO charge in our account on their app, as it showed that date as being Available at no charge. I explained that to customer assistance and a supervisor called back and did a "one time" refund of that fee. These fees seem unecessary/questionable and are not as transparent to the customer upfront as they should be...not burying them in the multi-page contract. Their "Chat" option was Outstanding, during the times it was up. Much better than the long wait times for the 800 #.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

We used 1-800-Pack Rat to facilitate a two step move from our old home to our new build. We were initially told that our first two moving pods would be delivered on Monday 4/1. After several hours with no phone call from this company, we finally called ourselves and were told that we would be first priority on Wed 4/3. Wednesday comes around, no one calls, nothing delivered. My husband called several times that day to be given the run around- long story short, no one from Pack Rat ever communicated with us regarding the delays of our pods, the local supervisor was not responding to corporate communication, and once again we did not receive any pods that day. Thursday 4/2 comes around.... still no definitive answer, given several time frames that came and went with no delivery... it eventually got to the point where I myself drove 40 minutes to the actual warehouse site to find an alternative phone number for contact. The pods eventually showed up later that day. We then had another 2 units to be delivered Sat 4/4 FIRST thing in AM... same story, different day. Several phone calls (on our behalf only, not once did the company contact us themselves) to be given the run around all day. We finally received them both that night. Communication is SEVERELY lacking with this company. It is one thing to be delayed due to lack of manpower, but to be deceitful with your customers is disgusting. We were given the run around for days when all we really wanted was someone to call us to give us an honest update. NOT ONE TIME did 1-800-Pack Rat contact us themselves; instead, it took 20+ phone calls on our behalf over a 5 day period to get our things. We lost vacation days that we took because we were supposed to be moving, but instead waited around all day for units that never showed. Moving is already a stressful process, this company made it 1000 times worse. Never would I ever recommend this company. Worst customer service experience ever.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

I used 1-800-Packrat for a move from ************ to **. Unfortunately, I was hit with massive hidden fees in the form of a repositioning charge and a diesel fuel charge.I initially spoke with the customer service **** ***** and he was super helpful - he told me that the price was all inclusive and that I wouldnt have to pay additional fees. I then got hit with a charge of almost $700 higher than quoted that nobody could explain until I called back and was told that the fuel charge was in the fine print of a document that has never been sent to me. Nowhere was the charge itemized or described. I am very disappointed and found that this fee is very deceptive. I cannot recommend using this service because of these hidden fees which are not mentioned or included in the quoted price.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC
