We hired Pack-Rat to ship our stuff from ******** to **********. The pick-up drivers didn't arrive until 4 days after they said they would, so we had to scramble to get everything on the container in time for pick-up. We based our ENTIRE moving date, which was so stressful, on traveling to arrive to ********** in time for our shipping container. We learned, mid drive, that our container would be arrived 5 days later than planned. Today, we are sitting in our house, sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags (which is causing all of us back pain), waiting for our container to arrive on the revised date, and still nothing. No one has answered any of our multiple HOURS LONG wait phone calls. This is completely unacceptable. We are leaving town again in 2 days and have NO IDEA where our stuff is and when it will arrive. What an absolute failure of a business. We will be asking for compensation when, if ever, our items arrive.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Horrible experience from start to finish. Ordered a pod to be delivered on 8 July with the 3 day loading option. The driver shows up that morning and says he cant park anywhere so my only option is to go find a U-Haul and he will give me FOUR HOURS to get it loaded in the cage at his facility (outside, on a black top in the middle of summer in Vegas) before he closes for the weekend. Thankfully I have great friends who made it happen. We placed an airtag in our cage to track it. It arrives at the storage facility on the 17th, and we arrive in the area on the 19th. I called to see when I can get it delivered and they said the 25th because it wouldnt even arrive in the area until the 23rd. They changed their tune very quickly when I told them I was tracking the shipment form the start. It took 5 more hours of arguing back and forth that my things were already in the area and I was not willing to wait and extra 6 days for my things to be delivered. They finally agreed to drop my cage off on the 21st and said I would receive an email that morning with the delivery window. By noon, I heard nothing. Waited on hold for over an hour for them to tell me they couldnt talk to the storage facility because they wouldnt answer, and that they would keep trying and call me back. After 2 more hours of no response, I tracked the number down to that specific storage facility (I had an airtag in my things so I knew the address) for them to tell me I'd have to go through their dispatch. I called Zippy Shell again and they finally said they contacted the storage facility with an estimated delivery time of 3:30-5:30. Immediately afterwards the driver calls with a delivery time. The only upside is that I required a weight to be done for a military move and they weighed my things inside the cage, inside a crate. Thanks for maxing out my weight allotment. Telling all my coworkers to avoid this company for any move in the future. Overcharged for a terrible experience.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

1800packrat is untrustworth! Their driver sped into our driveway running over and killing our napping dog. The driver admittedly stated he was speeding, that he wasn't looking and the he was hugging the left side to avoid a small pot hole this resulting in the murder of our dog. my teen children had to witness this mortifying disaster and we're screaming in terror to which the driver only spewed his excuses and had to be told by our neighbor to apologize. I was assured by the driver I would be contacted by the company with condolences and to make this right. The company has since left my family in the dark. I have contacted the company myself multiple times and was transferred to a third party insurance who seems lost on the matter and stated there is not enough information to help me. If packrat cannot take ownership for such a big mistake how can you I trust them with your belongings? I personally will never use packrat.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Moved from ** to ***** in Jan. 23.Company provided *********** provided 35 blankets to wrap merchandise. Upon arrival to ***** it was obvious furniture thrown into pods haphazardly without proper wrapping. Over $5000 of damage estimated which company refused to take responsibility for. Said it was due to normal shifting & that the damage was our responsibility to pay. This company is a joke!1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Horrible service although very nice people I talked to. I rented a container that, per my contract, was to be delivered Friday juky 14, 2023. Called Saturday morning, July 15th, and was told container would be delivered before 10 pm. Stayed up until 10:30 thinking they may be running late. Ko delivery. After many calls today, talking with multiple employees and as many transfers, I was finally able to talk with a supervisor. She states there are no emails stating why the container wasn't delivered but would have it delivered tomorrow priority. The reason I wanted it delivered Friday is because I have the help needed to load boxes into the container. I need these boxes out so I can put the house on the market tomorrow, July 17th, and these boxes are filling up an entire room. The supervisor did offer compensation but that still doesn't give me anyone to load this container. I recommend not using Pack Rat1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

One star for price. If you are going to advertise that you are comparable to PODS, you should probably change your business model and do better.If you like companies that over promise and under deliver, this is the company for you! We ordered our shell the last week of June. ******** was supposed to be on the 3rd.no phone call. Called them towards the end of the day and had no answer to where the shell was. Would not get the shell until the 5th of July due to the holiday on the 4th. Someone was moving into our house on the 4th since we were supposed to be packed up and gone on the 3rd. Had to hire someone to come pack the shell for us. Didnt arrive until the 6that 8pm. They were supposed it pick up the shell 3 days later. Didnt pick it up until yesterday, the 14th. Called them today to check where it is at, said it will be delivered in **** business day (probably more like 20). This is unbelievable! Here we are, across the country and nothing to sleep on, cook with and nothing to to sit on in our place and wont for weeks. All this hassle is not worth the extra $700 you would save going through a competitor. The amount of time wasted on the phone, trying to get someone with real answers is not worth it. The amount of money you will spend buying things just to live, is not worth it. We will be without our stuff for a month before it arrives, not worth it. If you have to leave a bad review for a company to actually do something or respond, not worth it. Horrible customer service! My new tenant had a container dropped off on June 30 and it still hasnt been picked up and its now July 14. Its in the middle of my yard! Calling Packrat is ridiculous, you are on hold for 45 minutes and then they tell you it will be picked up the next day. Packrat customers are a free storage facility for them until they need that container again. ************** ridiculous! I would leave zero stars if it were an option.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Pack rat co. Moved our house hold staff and furniture in one large container from our home in *********** ********** on 1/3/2023 and moved it to *******. Boxes wee over 110. They stored and delivered on 2/16/2023. Pack rat provided ** a lock. I should not have trusted and relied on that. After unpacking boxes, noticed about 8 boxes missing. My years of antiques, pots and pans, garage items and my watches including the storage box. After filing with pack rat, I was told they investigated and nothing they could do.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Their team advised that a thorough investigation was conducted and that there was insufficient evidence to support that our ************ was at fault for this missing property. It was also confirmed there were no signs of forced entry into the customers unit and no other reports of theft or break-ins at any of the contact facilities. The claim was denied due to the lack of evidence found to support the contents went missing while in our possession. Just like everyone else said. Horrible company, horrible customer service. Luckily I canceled the order after 5 hours of waiting and seeing the other reviews. They lied, and I guarantee that any 5 star review is paid for. **************** was more then happy to cancel the order, rather then provide any answers to the situation.
