      Just like everyone else said. Horrible company, horrible customer service. Luckily I canceled the order after 5 hours of waiting and seeing the other reviews. They lied, and I guarantee that any 5 star review is paid for. **************** was more then happy to cancel the order, rather then provide any answers to the situation. "You must be at the property for delivery" what a joke

      Cost: Great Dependability: worst in ******* ***************** terrible Concern for customer: None Will they even show up: Nope, but their customer service will send lots of messages. The worst is their response to all these reviews. They just say the same canned response were sorry you had a bad experience. We will work hard to fix this. Or you were reimbursed the problem is the reviews go back to 2020 with the same problems so you havent fixed it and reimbursement Isnt the problem. You never make it right with the customer. You just s**** them over. I dont understand how they continue to be a company. Called 5 months in advance. Verified multiple times for our move. They were supposed to drop off the pods and never showed. Multiple calls to customer service. They sent many messages to the facility. Nothing. Had movers coming but no pods. Finally got in contact with the facility manager and he laughed when we asked if he could get our pods there before noon. (They were scheduled to be delivered the day before between 8- noon). He laughed at us and said he might be able to get us 1 (we had ordered 2) sometime in the afternoon. Had to cancel and luckily we were able to find a Penske truck and trailer to tow our car. Had to drastically change our plans and they just said sorry. Never tried to make it write. Completely screwed us over. They dont care about the people obviously. They never made it right for us and as seen by countless reviews they dont make it right for anyone. Terrible company. Not dependable or trustworthy. They havent improved over the last few years as the same issues are seen in all of the reviews over the last couple of years. Do not use. Avoid at all costs.

      Not a reliable company, please allow for 2 extra weeks in your planning for drop offs and pickups, and hold times are outrageously long, they must get a lot of complaints! Be ready for a bad experience!Order Number:Container1: ******* Container2: *******

      This company is awful and they will take your money without providing a service at all. Then when try to receive a refund they will send you on a wild goose chase yielding zero results. They charged my account prior the service being provided, as explained to me, then never sent a truck from their company. Somehow another company showed up at the right time but zippyshell/1800packrat were the ones who got paid. Now I cant get my money back short of disputing the charge and filing a claim in court. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

      7Zippy Shell is THE WORST! I contracted w/them 2 unload a storage unit in ******, ** & move the contents 2 **. When I arrived @ my storage unit in ******, ** I was told by the movers, who r College Hunks, that the contents of my storage unit would not fit in2 the pod that was sent by Zippy Shell. I spent a lot of time w/Zippy Shell giving them exact dimensions of what I had & they stilll sent only 1 pod when I needed 2. College Hunks work w/Zippy Shell, but they didnt get involved. I had 2 call Zippy ********* spoke 2 a guy named ****. I told him I needed another pod, that their people didnt determine the right ******** needed another 1 right away becuz I was then living in ***** which is 2 1/2 hrs away from ******, I had a cargo van that I needed 2 get back. They told me it would take 2 hrs to find out if they could accomodate me. I asked why 2 hrs? They said that's how long the process takes. I asked what is the process? They said they send an email. I said why don't u make a phone call? They said email is the way they do things. ??? They said they would know by 12:00. @ 12:00 they close for the day! They simply did not *********** past 12:00 so they literally did nothing. College Hunks would have been notified 2 bring another pod. I called College ************ said they were never notified!! That meant I had 2 drive back 2 *****, return the truck & deal w/it on Monday. However, my car was being picked up on Monday 2 be transported 2 ****** was on a flight the next day, so getting back 2 ****** was impossible. 7:00 am Mon morning College Hunks called 2 say they'd be in ****** @ my storage unit in 1 hr. There was nothing I could do! I told them that on Saturday! They had 2 load the pod w/out me there & all I could do was pray they didn't steal my stuff! They locked the pod & would not send me the keys!

      TLDR: They never showed up the day of our scheduled move, and offered not help or solution.Just wanted to drop a note in here incase it helps someone else out down the road. Not normally a big reviewer, but we had such a terrible experience I hope my review might save someone else avoid the headache.I booked a moving container and movers 4+ months in advance. I called two weeks ahead of the scheduled moving date to confirm arrival time, reservation etc., I was told everything was good to go.Day of the move they never showed up, never called, no communication. I started calling customer service once it was apparent they were running late. I was told they couldn't reach their moving team, and had no update to provide. I called every hour and received the same message. The call queue was incredibly long, I asked for a direct line, email, manager's name etc. they provided nothing.Once it was apparent (5:00PM), they were not going to show up, I called the local moving company which they had contracted with to load the container. They picked up first call, said I was not on the schedule for that day, or any day there after. The man at the local moving company did say someone had called to ask about my move earlier. Nobody ever contacted me or let me know they wouldn't be showing up. They made no effort to expedite a solution. I informed them that it was the last day of my lease, and I had to be out by the end of the day, the only solution was a refund. I told them this was not a burtn pizza, refunding me was not a solution. Even expediting a container without movers for the next day would have potentially worked, but they made zero effort to reconcile the situation.To anyone who has a reservation with ZippyShell, I would highly suggest cancelling and finding a different company. To anyone considering using ZippyShell, I would NOT.

      I booked with Zippy shell but found out on delivery of the pod/cage that they merged with pack rat. I told the sales rep I spoke to that I had a three bedroom duplex and they suggested a shell that turned out to be way too small. When the pod was being delivered the driver called the day off to ask about the space for drop off. We lived on a boulevard, but with other companies didnt have any issues with access because they had forklifts or machines to move the pod. The driver arrived and said the pod wouldnt fit because he had to be able to maneuver his truck, so we had to let him park it in the front lawn. I asked what would have happened if it couldnt fit and he may have canceled or parked it far away because it cant block certain areas. He said that the sales reps usually just book without checking to get the money, but its up to the discretion of the driver the day of to determine if the pod can be delivered even if already paid for. The pod was actually a cage inside a pod, but since it was a zippy cage and pack rat pod, the cage didnt fit and couldnt close. The pod was the size the sales rep quoted, but the cage was smaller. I was told by the driver that the cage is removed from the pod, wrapped in plastic and then delivered in another pod at destination. So, its not actually a pod. The cage we got was too small so we had to get a last minute emergency pod from another company. We were told it would take **** days for the pod to arrive in destination warehouse. We found out once **** days passed, that its not **** days, but **** business days and there was a three day weekend that passed. Then someone said it would arrive at day 9 to warehouse. I didnt hear from anyone at the end of day 10 and emailed. Got a call on day 11 saying they didnt know when it would arrive. Its been over two weeks and I dont know when our furniture will arrive. I have booked pods before and have never had these issues. Our emergency pod arrived before this one.

      This company SUCKS! Cant reach anybody to help and when you finally get ahold of someone they dont know anything. They lost my pod. It took three days past the day it was supposed to be delivered. They expect you yo put your life on hold until they figure it out. I hate this company. They dont keep their promises of what time to pick up or deliver. You are expected to wait and wait and wait day after day. My advice go somewhere else.

      We requested next day pick-up of our shipping container to make sure it arrived in *********** by a certain date. We were told they would pick-up the next morning, but then got no confirmation call the day before. We tried to call and confirm morning pick-up and were told (after we already had the shipping container in our driveway) that the delivery window was ALL day and they could come any time from 9am to 10pm, but we would get a call an hour before pick-up. After waiting all day for them to show up we finally called to check on our pick-up at 7:30pm and were told our pick-up had been cancelled by the driver and they didn't know why. If we hadn't called we never would have found out they weren't coming. We were moved to the next morning and told that our delivery to LA would now be delayed too. Their attitude was: oh well too bad. My entire move was coordinated around certain dates and everything was shifted with no explanation or compensation. The next day they did finally arrive to pick-up the container at 6pm (not the morning as promised). Now we have received our bill AND it is over $300 more than was quoted to us. We are also now being told that our delivery date in LA is not guaranteed. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. We are doing our move in two parts and I am soooo grateful I didn't book the second half with them and waited to see how this went first. I will definitely be looking for another company for the second half of the move. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is that the shipping container itself seemed very sturdy/well made and the delivery/pick-up drivers were great. Also, the $300 extra charge (I still haven't found out what that is about) still left them a little cheaper than PODS, so if you are okay with late pick-up/delivery and can figure in hidden fees to your price at the front end you might consider them - I definitely wouldn't. In the end I guess you get what you pay for.

      1-800-PACK-RAT Worst container service out there. Do yourself a favor and pay a few extra dollars and use PODS ********************************************** Pack Rat has a recording of a phone call about the date they were supposed to pick up my unit, they picked it up a day early meaning, I could not load the last of my stuff in it mostly my refrigerator. I left a 1year old whirlpool, $2999, in the house I sold because they picked up my source of moving it. They take responsibility, say they are sorry and want to give me a discount on getting the unit to my new house. $250 discount for my $3000 fridge. Or I can call the new owners and ask them if pack rat can deliver the unit back out and then I go over to their house and load the refrigerator out of their house onto it now a week later. The lady on the phone was very uncaring and wouldnt even offer a refund on the service I have already paid for. I wish I had looked at this site prior to booking them. I am sharing this everywhere I can.
