I moved from ***** to ******. When they arrived in Kansas, they dropped the container at the wrong spot inspite of me telling the driver not to place it there. He literally did not listen and ignored me....very disappointed on where it was dropped. He said he was told to do so by his local facility(in ******) manager ****. I should have gone with UBox from UHaul. They have small containers and people are easier to work with. With PackRat, I was promised something and delivered something else. My container number was HD61596

This company provides the customer with a 16 foot container quote for over four thousand dollars, then upon delivering the container the truck driver states that the cage within the container is where you have to pack your household goods. To the customer's surprise the cage inside the container is actually a 15 foot container. There's a tremendous lack of communication, unless it's dealing with payment, and the Zippy Shell staff play it off like it's not a big deal. When the customer calls for delivery of the container the staff does not provide any confirmation for delivery date, or communication. When the customer calls expecting the container for a specific day, the staff states that the day for delivery is scheduled and confirmed for another day with out notifying the customer. The ********************** staff then goes on to tell the customer that if they are not present at the drop off location that the driver will not wait, and the customer will be charged an additional delivery charge, and more storage fees as well. No apologies for the lack of communication, no apologies for the inconvenience. Will not recommend this moving company to anyone, customer service is minimal if any.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Our container was supposed to be delivered on 4/24 it finally showed up 4/26. Packrat called us on 4/24 and said we may not get picked up that day because the truck broke down. Ok, send another truck to pick it up!!! We paid for this service. We told them that it had to be picked up and delivered to the new house ON 4/24, we closed on our new house that day fully expecting the container to be at the new house. Didn't show up. 4/25-still no container. Called packrat and was told they tried to call us but we didn't answer so they moved on to the next customer. WAIT A MINUTE...When we ordered we were told NO ONE HAD TO BE AVAILABLE that they new the when and where. Our family took time off from work on 4/24 to help us unpack so needless to say we had no help when it finally arrived considering we moved out of state so we had no one to help at all. Since the container was 2 days late it put us into the next month of having the container which at that time were told we would not be charged but we were charged and even had an extra charge that we have no idea where or what it's for and no one from pack rat will return any of our calls. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!!1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

I am currently moving from CA to ** and have moved over a dozen times, this time being my first with 1-800-PACK-RAT. I was completely misled on the phone with the representative telling me my total move (which I have an email stating the exact words "Total Move") is ********. I did have the representative tell me that I would be charged ****** on 4/22/23 as the deposit but it would reflect on the final bill which was expected. This is where things get extremely misleading with 1-800-PACK-RAT who claims there are no "hidden fees". I was charged an additional ****** on 05/04/23 and today ********. I have called and talked to another representative and they said you agreed to a fuel subsidy charge (which my original representative did not mention) and that the ****** charge was for the container rental for the month and is a separate charge from the Total Move Cost which is crazy because that charge is not even listed on my order. Also how can you have a Total Move Cost and have a bill that goes from ******** to *******!? Extremely dissatisfied so far with this experience so far. The one thing PackRat will find out shortly when my container arrives is that I work in the entertainment business and have close to 1 million people I post to on social media and will be doing a full story on this and to avoid this company lol. Save yourself the trouble and even if they offer you a better deal than other competitors you will lose with them in the long run...1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

I have used 1-800-Pack Rat for 2 long distance multi-state moves, and they did not disappoint. The rates were very reasonable for what I needed, and their customer service and support made a very stressful move much easier. Their drivers were very skillful and courteous and the follow-*** were also on point. If I ever need to (which hopefully I can stay put for a while ??) 100% recommend using this company. I never used a storage **************** made this experience stress free. They were professional & very timely. **************** was always attentive to my needs & gave proper information throughout the whole process. This was my first experience with containerized moving as opposed to renting a truck and moving it myself. I was very pleasantly surprised with 1-800-PackRats excellent customer service and pick-up and delivery process and will not be renting a moving truck again. The first customer service person that I spoke with was glad to accept a lower quote from PODS (as advertised) for a 16 container and provided an email (at my request) stating that there would be no fuel rate increase surcharges for the quoted itinerary. The empty container was delivered in great shape on the date promised with a heads-up call. I had to delay the pick-up once (I needed more time), but this was politely accommodated by the customer service representative. The 16 container accommodated about half the contents of my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house, as I had expected after doing the calculations for the items I wanted to move in their spreadsheet. I weighed boxes, etc. to get as close to the ***** lb limit and pretty much filled the container without maxing out on the weight. The drivers were professional and helpful throughout the long-distance delivery process, which was easy to track on the 1-800-PackRat website in my account. The container arrived with the contents in the same shape as when packed by me. Pick-up of the empty container also occurred as scheduled with no problems.
