Our home sold before we were ready for our out of state move. With a home search, the need to find an interim rental AND secure storage for belongings, Pack Rat was a strategic decision to minimize expense and the stress with moving. The container drop to load was easy and then once we found a home, the move was as scheduled and positioned for easy unloading. I wish a small container for long distance was available as we have more in front of us due to the interim housing but not enough to justify the large container,
We had an amazing experience with Pack Rat — and would recommend 110%!

Excellent experience moving my family from **** ******* to ******** ********. Very fair pricing compared to other companies (not much more expensive than a moving truck). We needed two 16 ft units. Customer service was great, they always answered my calls and were extremely flexible allowing me to bump up my full unit drop off and empty unit pickup dates multiple times since we arrived in ******** earlier than expected. The driver in ** was excellent as he had a great attitude and worked with me to reposition the units to where they fit perfectly in the driveway as space was tight on our street. The driver is ** didn’t have a good attitude and didn’t put the units exactly where I wanted them but it worked out fine. The units were well built, made of all steel construction. We had no damaged items upon arrival but a lot of that was due to careful packing of the unit and protection of our items with blankets. Really impressed with the customer service and fair pricing, we will definitely use them again for our next move. We were skeptical given some of the poor reviews, especially since pack rat is a sister company of zippy shell which has really bad reviews. ***** ***** was cheaper but we went with pack rat and are glad we did. Smooth process from beginning to end. They provided a reasonable quote. We used them to move long distance and would highly recommend them to others doing the same. There was one minor issue where the scheduled pickup was a day late and there was no notification, but other than that everything went fine.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

The moving experience with PackRat was excellent and I would highly recommend using them.
In all steps of setting up the contract, having timely delivery of the containers at the ** location, and having timely delivery the containers to the new ** location was great.
I spoke with several service reps and all were clear with the details and assisted with changing the dates earlier than originally scheduled (in Dec 2022).
The initial contracted fees were easy to understand and the final expense was exactly as initially agreed upon. There were no discussions of any upcharges.
I used two – 16 foot long containers which held more weight than the other leading competitor. The units appeared very strong and the end swing door was very solid. Included with the move was two locks which worked perfectly with the doors.
Overall, no disappoints and a solid 5 star experience.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Had a great experience. It was easy to get a quote and schedule the delivery of the storage container. Container arrived as scheduled and was picked up on the on time. Container was clean and customer support was helpful when I called to confirm that they had the correct delivery address. I would use them again for my shipping or storage needs.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Our experience with pack rat was excellent! Our pod was delivered as scheduled on time dropped in the exact spot I desired, and picked up within 72 hours of our completion. Everything was handled online with one or two confirmation calls, and the price was the most reasonable in my area. I would definitely use them again.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

I am in the process of moving from ******* to ********. I have a contract with Pack-Rat to rent a container delivered to destination 10 days after it is loaded. Pack rat representative set the schedule not me. The problem is that the container did not arrive at the destination on the scheduled date. The run around started the day before the set delivery date. I called 1-800-Pack- Rat on Dec 26 and was told that the container is in the destination facility but they could not confirm what time the delivery would be the next day just a window from 8AM to 8PM with an hour advance courtesy call. Come day of delivery I called in the morning and was told that I am not in the schedule for the day but should expect between 12:30PM and 4:30PM with 1 hour advance courtesy call. Time passed to around 3:30PM and I called again requesting a delivery time. I was told I am not scheduled but they usually deliver up to 10PM with an hour advance courtesy call. Come 9:30PM I called and demanded an explanation and showed my frustration. The dispatcher left a voicemail and apologetically expressed that he does not know how to put it that the container had fallen in a crack. The container had not left *******. So I attempted to return the dispatcher's call but a very patient lady answered and told me that the lift in Fort Myers is broken. That is something I could NOT accept. 1) A broken lift should not delay transport for more that 10 days. There should be redundancy of equipment if they desire to do serious business. 2) Broken lift appeared in several adverse customer reviews showing that it is a routine excuse. 3) I was told that the lift is a custom design. So lame of an excuse. There must be a contingency or alternative action to be a reasonable business person. They should not leave the customer hanging for more than 10 days. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AND WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. THEY SHOW THAT THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT REPEAT BUSINESS OR REFERRALS.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Pack Rat Kc was there on the days they said they would be. They delivered the pod to one house and after a few months when we were ready to move they came and got it and relocated it to our new home in the country. They told me of the fees when I first called and were upfront through the entire process of what the costs would be. I would recommend them to others!1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Moved about 60 miles in Southern California… pack rat was amazing from their communication before delivery to my call to customer service to schedule pick up to drop off at our new home. We utilized the storage about 15 days at their location and everything was at it should be when dropped off
