please do not use this company. You'll thank me later. When they say "they" will help you load/unload for 3 hours, they're referencing a 3rd party will "help" you. The 3rd party they sent out made me feel uncomfortable. One of them broke my stand up desk. He did it directly in front of my door camera. So I filed a claim, sent the video of him doing it, and Zippy Shell still denied my claim. They took 90+ days to deny my claim. They also charged me an extra $75 because I lived on the 3rd floor, this wasn't in the contract. I wrapped my furniture in a protective film and one of them removed the film from some of my items. My furniture was damaged. After charging me for insurance, providing verifiable proof that they damaged my furniture, and still denying my claim, I feel scammed. After reading the reviews on ****, BBB and ******, I'm seeking options and next steps in how to file a class action lawsuit. Do not use this company; protect yourself.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

1-800-PACK-RAT was great to work with. I received a quote which was the cheapest around. The people on the phone were helpful and courteous. The office called to confirm all drop off and pick up dates and the driver texted the night before to let us know when he would arrive. The drivers were always prompt, friendly and courteous. I was planning an interstate move and looked into all of the options. We had a nice recommendation for 1800PackRat from friends. I called and discussed our move with a moving coordinator. She took time with me explaining what the charges and timing would be. Everything was as presented. We felt good about the quality of the container. The pick up and delivery went perfectly, with the drivers calling to check in to make sure we were ready. We unpacked the container more quickly than planned and called to have them pick it up early. They easily accommodated us. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend this company.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Had Pack-Rat move me from D***** to C*********. Containers were delievered on time, both for loading and unloading. Delivered and pickd up with care for my lawn and driveway. Very seemles process. Containers were in great condition and nothing was shifted during move. Utilized storage and it worked out perfecly. Definited 1-800-Pack-Rat over any of it's competitors.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

100% satisfied with using this company. From initial contact to pickup to delivery, nothing but professional and courteous staff. Pricing was reasonable compared to other sites. All staff was great throughout the whole moving process! I don't ever want to move across the country again but if I had to, I'd definitely use this company!1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

1 starBEWARE! The warehouse in *********** was great to work with, the drop off in ********* was a nightmare.After reading reviews I called in on 7/22 with the intent of cancelling. As I spoke with the representative, she answered my questions and I decided not to cancel (same call, same representative). On 8/4 I called to confirm I was scheduled for delivery on the 6th and added rental insurance. I was charged for half of the moving fee that same day. When the container didn't arrive on the 6th I called and they said it was scheduled and should come. Same answer Sunday the 7th. Monday the 8th I spoke with ***** who said she would look into it and call me back. She didn't. I called and spoke with **** who told me it was cancelled and wouldn't be delivered until the 16th which was the day after I had to report to work in ***********. He was the only person to admit they made a mistake, but was unwilling to correct the problem. I kept calling for a manager and spoke with **** who said he was an escalation manager who was again unwilling to correct the problem, but said he would give me $225 off (which he never did). Everyone I spoke with acted like it was my fault, claiming I cancelled the order then called back to set it up again, which was not true. Even if that had happened, it would be the representatives mistake not to reinstate the container delivery.I had to be to work in *********** so my son and neighbor had to organize the loading which was a huge inconvenience for them and added stress for me. Not everything fit so I had to rent a storage unit for $224.80 and now have to drive back to **** which was $436.33 in gas and rent a U-Haul trailer to get the rest of my things back, something I could have easily done in August had the container been delivered on time or they had been willing to get it to me prior to the 16th.The representatives were uncaring and apathetic.I spoke with ****** today to get reimbursed and he was only willing to give me the $326.Review fromJenna K

This company charges for when the unit isn't being rented! I am having my unit emptied and picked up 2 days after the 7-day pro-rated period for the storage costs, and they are telling me that I have to pay for a WHOLE MONTH when I am not even using it for that time. This should be illegal since they will turn around and rent it to someone else and make double the profit off of it. Do NOT patronize this company.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

I recently moved from *** ****** to ***** ********. When I was planning the move, I looked into many avenues of moving our stuff. I felt the best option for the price offered was 1-800-PACK-RAT. From the first time I called, I could tell that the staff really appreciated our business and every person that I've spoken to since seems to really appreciate the business and was very friendly. I would also like to specially thank ****** ********, who was able to work with me on getting the best possible price. There was communication from the local vendors regarding when the units would be dropped off and picked up. The initial driver who dropped of the container empty in New Jersey had a lot of great tips on the smartest way to pack the unit to be able to fit the most stuff and to prevent damage. I am happy to report that all of our items made it to our destination with absolutely no damage.
I would highly recommend using 1-800-PACK-RAT to my friends and family. If I were to move again, I would use them again!1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

I chose RAT PACK because they said they had 20'×8' containers and they also would match PODS price of $169.00 a month....well when they delivered a 16'×8' and not a 20'×8' container I called RAT PACK they told me there's no problem getting a 2 bedroom house in a 16'×8' container.....WRONG I had to rent another storage from PUBLIC for our boxes....and when they picked up our container and took it to storage they withdrawed $245.00 plus another $50.00 for something I never heard of and when I called they said they would have to listen to the recording of the agreement. They called me back 2 days later and said they would credit it back to me I thought we had it worked out...WRONG...they never credited nothing to me and continued to withdraw $245.00 month so I called back instead of holding on the phone I left a call back number and no responce from RAT PACK so I changed storage co. I couldn't afford to pay the $76.00 over charge every month1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

1 starThis company and their partnering company ***** Pack Rat STOLE FROM US. We moved across the country at the end of 2021 and were told we had to use both companies to get our stuff moved. They assured us we had the only key to our lock. Our pod was delayed by almost a month, and when it finally arrived, the lock didn't work. After my partner's dad cut the lock, we noticed our ropes looked odd. I had tied several bundles of ropes in our pod, and much of it was missing. After going through our belongings, we found several thousand dollars worth of items missing. Items that could only have been strategically removed by someone with time, who was able to take a look around. Mementos from dead family members I will never get back.Our pod was sitting in their supposedly locked warehouse almost that entire time, where it was supposed to be safe.It's been 9 months of calling and them pretending they are taking care of it. And today, they told us our claim is denied and they'll give us $250. That's hush money!! We will be taking legal action, but please don't let this happen to you.They hire criminals and support them by letting it happen. They don't care one bit about their customers
