      I hired Pack Rat for my father to move out of his home of 50+ years into a townhome. At first getting a quote was very easy and the CSR was so helpful. We asked to receive the unit on a specific Friday because we had people coming from out of town and hired folks to help us pack it. I received a call the night before it was to be dropped off telling me that they were sorry but they had two trucks to break down and were not able to deliver it until the next week. We were not happy about that, but "things happen"....We worked it out for them to deliver it when they said they could. My father was charged numerous charges at that time (before the unit was even delivered), I tried to get in touch with the CSR I got the quote from, nothing!!! I finally called the billing office and they were very helpful. They refunded my father for charges he should not have been charged for (1 being a $75 charge because they said we specified a time of day for the unit to be delivered) WRONG. When the time comes to pick up the unit, we specified a day 4 days before his closing. Wouldn't you know it, they called to say a truck was broken down and it would be 5 days before they could pick it up. WHAT?? We've already been through the broken truck "story" so that is not going to happen. They worked it out to pick it up on his closing day! In the meantime (this was a 2 month long process) they over charged him every week for "something"!! I would have to call the billing office AGAIN and they would have to reimburse his debit card. They ended up having to reimburse him close to $1000 over this period of time. I would never suggest this company to anyone. If my father wasn't aware of charges to his account imagine what they would've gotten away with!! Imagine if he didn't have someone looking out for him!! It makes me so angry to think what they've charged other folks that weren't so lucky to catch it. My father now calls them "RAT pack".

      Was scheduled for a storage container for a drop off on the 20th of this month. They never showed, never called. I called numerous times only to be told I would get a call back which never came. They told me they couldn't do anything about resetting delivery date except what was next on calendar, which was over a week later after they said they would fix at local level. 1st person I spoke to said they would talk to local delivery and get ASAP and would be getting a call back. Never got one so I called only to be told that my delivery was the new date. I explained what was happening and they said ok talked to manager and he was working with local delivery again over and over that's all I heard. I called 3 different days and not once did I receive a call back after being told they would.
      Horrible company even worse customer service.

      My partner & I moved from M************ to C********* this fall, and we used pack rat to ship our things from our old place to our new place. I called several moving container companies and ended up going with pack rat because they were able to match the lowest price we were quoted from another company. I had also received a recommendation from a colleague who had used pack rat and had a good experience.
      Overall I would say we had a good experience with pack rat. I was pleased with the communication from customer service -- everyone I spoke to was friendly, and if I called during a busy time, I was glad that I could just receive a call back at a later time so I didn't have to wait on hold forever. The containers were picked up and delivered without issue, and we found the drivers to be very nice as well. There was an instance in which we called pack rat to change the direction the doors on the container were facing before the container was dropped off and this change didn't happen, but it ended up being fine for us. Instructions were clear, none of our stuff was damaged in the cross-country trip, and it was easy to call and change when our containers were picked up/dropped off. The container we had didn't look like it was in the best shape, but it was good enough and all of our stuff was okay so that's what mattered most to us. I would certainly recommend them to anyone else looking for a moving container company that's as inexpensive as possible! I was really happy that they were able to match the lower price of another company -- that was such a big deal to us since we were trying to save as much money as possible.

      We had the worst experience with this company. We were moving across country from California to Missouri and had not bought our new home yet. We knew what state we were going to but not a city. They have 2 facilities in Missouri. We had planned on having our things stored at their facility until we had an address. They asked for a zip code so I gave them one from their facility. I made numerus phone calls and the really put me at ease saying that it would be no problem to move our 2 containers once we had our address. Going forward we purchased our home and I contacted them about the address. They said they do not not service that address. They then said they could possibly do it for close to $7000 more. We are talking about a 400 mile round trip from their facility to the new address. They shipped it from Ca. to MO. for just about the same price. The proof is in the recorded phone calls. They do not want to take responsibility for the lack of training because they are just hungry for the sale. I spoke to multiple people on this and this company is cold hearted. At this time we have to go get our stuff and unload 2 containers at the facility and load it and move it ourselves. This has been a stressful experience to say the least. I will follow up legally. The proof of non information is in those recorded phone calls. They are hanging on to that zip code. We were only told from a higher up while disputing this that the range from the facility was 75 miles. Once again not said to me ever. I would have never gone with this company if they had explained all this. They had the chance with multiple calls I had made. I would give no stars if that was an option. LISTEN TO THE PHONE CALLS IF PACKRAT IS READING THIS. We are not done yet. I really trusted that this would work out. I also want to know what happened to that 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed that I see all over.

      Used Pack-Rat to store furniture/belongings while the upstairs of our current home was being remodeled. The projected time-frame was to be less than 45 days for the entire remodel. Pack-Rat rates were significantly better than the competition. The storage cube was delivered on-time, and in the location requested.
      The remodeling project was finished in less than the projected time frame, and Pack-Rat picked up the container earlier than originally anticipated.
      All pricing was as agreed upon. Could not have asked for a better coordinated effort!

      We had a great experience with the company. They were able to deliver next day when all of their competitors were booking a week out - which was a huge savior for us as we had fire damage in part of the building that needed mitigated ASAP and Maryland weather is too risky to leave furniture outside for even a day. They ended up adjusting the delivery schedule to have them both delivered at the same time versus hours apart. Even though the overall delivery was later than originally quoted, it worked out better for everyone onsite to have both containers there at the same time!
      I will say, I was not on site when it was delivered but, I did not receive any negativity from the employees who were there so it is safe to assume everything went smoothly.

      Pack Rat from Kansas City MO. Were very easy to work with. They were very professional and friendly. The containers were delivered and placed exactly as we had requested. The drivers were very friendly and professional. When we were packed and ready to move Pack Rat were on time and moved the containers to our new house. The driveway was not level at all, but the drivers made sure the containers were level and facing the direction we had asked for. The containers were taken away on time with no damage to our property. We would recommend Pack Rat for any of your moving needs. Thank you Pack Rat. *** **

      They did what they said. Always available to speak to the rep or at least get a reliable call back. In PA the pick-up was delayed and we did not get a notice which was disappointing. Delivery was on time and well done despite threat of hurricanes etc. They also picked it up quickly after being asked. All drivers polite and the telephone support professional and clear. Lots of moving parts and they did well

      I chose pack rat because they offered local & long distance moves, we were unsure where we were moving to. After 3 months of storage, we switched our local to a long distance move. We moved Tampa to Las Vegas. It took almost 3 weeks to move our unit cross country but everything arrived safe & sound, not even a broken glass (I am not a great packer). I would use them again and recommend their services
