I’m a patient person. When I was told that my 8/5 empty container delivery was “re-scheduled for 8/8 for the anytime time frame due to one of our local trucks breaking down”, (was advised of this on 8/5, mind you) I was upset but did I scream at customer service? No. Was the container delivered on 8/8? No. Still, whatever it’s out of my hands. Got the container on 8/9, with scheduled pickup for 8/10. At 9PM on 8/10, I was told pickup was pushed to 8/11, the day of my move. STILL did not make a fuss. But upon receiving the FOURTH re-schedule now for 8/12 “due to one of our local trucks breaking down”, I’m out of patience. After going through all this, I’m only getting $100 off?! What kind of customer service is that?! Moving is literally one of the most stressful life events a person can go thru & this is how Packrat treats it’s customers?! So messed up. I’m supposed to receive my container on 8/27/2022 but won’t hold my breath. I’ll never recommend Packrat.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Good thing I didn’t hold my breath. My container was supposed to get dropped off on 8/27, but of course it was delayed, as that appears to be the theme here, & now I don’t even have an eta on when it WILL get here. This is ridiculous. I understand that life is unpredictable but I’ve gone nearly 4 days with no word on where my stuff is. I stand by my original statement: never recommending Packrat.Review fromSara C

Worst experience ever. We chose Zippy Shell because we were told our FLAT FEE was the lowest in the industry. We were moving from Arizona to New York and purchased 2 of their shells. The day they were supposed to arrive, ONE of the shells arrived at 8:30 PM (which is outside of their 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM window) and the second didn't arrive until the next morning, cutting down the time we had to pack before leaving the state on Monday. The shells were also supposed to be picked up by Monday, but they weren't picked up until Tuesday and no one called to inform us why they were left an extra day. When I called to ask about this, I was refunded the storage fee (which was another fee we didn't feel we should have been charged, since we didn't want the shells stored, we wanted them shipped directly to our house). When the shells arrived in New York, I tried to get them sent to our house as soon as possible since we were living out of a suitcase and they couldn't deliver them for almost TWO WEEKS and told me if I wanted them sooner, I needed to come get my stuff myself or hire an outside company at my own expense. They also tell you it is a flat rate, then hide in the contract "additional fees". I had to click through 2 different documents to find anything about fuel charges I wasn't originally told about, and when I called to complain, they only refunded half. They also moved my stuff around so aggressively during transportation that a lot of my stuff was damaged. The back frame for our crib had moved and the feet were completely broken off and the back was cracked beyond repair. I feel it is worth the price to go with **** instead, this company was awful to work with.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

I scheduled delivery of a 16' container for a very important residential move. Then on the day of delivery, 1800PACKRAT sent a terse text message to say they couldn't be there, not even a phone call. We had moving people waiting, cost us big money. If you need this type of move, stick with ***** They keep their promises.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

Be Warned!!! You will not get what you see!!! They completely false advertise…the container and equipment was falling apart and when I called to get a different container I was told none were available. I ordered a storage unit from this company and was assured the unit would arrive by 1pm. I hired help to load the unit. At 3pm the hired paid labor left and the unit came at 4:30. The instructions were to go through my back gate directly to the garage for loading. The driver called upon arrival and informed me he was at the front gate. I told him to go to the back gate and leave the unit by the garage. He instead drive into the front gate, stated he couldn’t drive it to the garage and left the unit in front of my home and partially on my grass. I called the company and was told they would come and pick it up. They couldn’t pick it up for the next 6 days. They said I would get a “full refund” I’m still waiting at 5pm for them to pick up the unit. They told me it might be as late as 10pm to pick it up. They are refunding me the rental cost but are insisting I still must pay for delivery and pick up. I asked if the driver couldn’t drive to the garage ( I’ve had large dumpsters and moving vans get to my garage) why didn’t he leave and take the unit with him. I talked to their escalation department who said they would discount the pick up by $25 ( cost was $85). But I still had to pay for the delivery. This is a dishonest and poorly run business with no interest in providing an honest service. I wonder how many people they’ve cheated out of delivery fees when no service was provided.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

This is one of the worst companies ever. I experienced issues from the beginning which should have been a red flag, but since they had an A- with the BBB I figured they were okay still.
Our first issue was that it took 3 days and multiple phone calls and emails to receive our moving agreement.
The next issue is that the drop-off was an awful experience. We never received our courtesy call and the driver was very rude to us.
The next issue was that our container had arrived at the warehouse on 7/22/22 but we were not informed of this until 7/27/22. When we called to get the delivery scheduled they told us they could not deliver until 8/16/22. However, during my call with the sales rep, he said that getting it delivered by the 4th should be no issue. I spoke with a customer service manager who said that they would call me back with an update, they never did. We did recieve a text saying that the delivery had actually been scheduled for the 8th. We called to confirm and they said that it was able to be scheduled and that they would include unloading service for free. Today, the day of the deliver comes, they were supposed to be here between 8 AM and 12 PM. 12:30 comes around and we still haven't even heard from them. I give them a call and I am put on a 10 minute hold. I was then informed that the crew cancelled the delivery because we are "outside of their service area." I spoke with the customer service manager and basically all they could do is offer a $100 credit to our account for the missed delivery. Since they were on the phone I asked what ever happened to the call about the previous missed delivery. Apparently they left us a voicemail (we didn't get a voicemail) and even though the sales rep was vague and ambiguous there was nothing they could do.
Save yourself the headache. Use a legitimate company not this joke.

Worst Service ZippyShell !! Moving and storage made Worst !! Only gave 1 star because I couldn't give 0 (Zero) !!
I loaded my container on July 7th,2022 and Zippyshell promised to deliver the container to my destination within 8-10 business days, according to that they were supposed to have it to my destination by July 22nd, 2022. But they gave me a date of July 29th, 2022, and deducted the total transportation cost on July 20, 2022.
They failed to deliver two times on 22nd /29th July 2022 and delivered finally on Aug 3rd with broken items.
I was paying $300 + in lodging /fooding in a hotel every day and wasted around $3000+. They have a compensation policy of a max of $250 and hidden conditions in the contract.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

The concept is great it’s just that this company cannot complete the process and definitely not in a timely manner. I pack my furniture in.a 16’ container and it get stored for $400 a month and everything seems OK until I try to get that container to my new home 80 miles away. Noting but delays and excuses and customer service is. joke for this company that states in their mission statement #1 in 100% Customer Satisfaction.
Well I along with many others are not satisfied with the so called service that this company provides.
My container was stored in ****** **** NJ and I moved to ********* PA. I called several times to get a quote on the cost of the move and was satisfied that it was reasonable and would happen within a few days but that never happened. After waiting for 10 days Customer Service actually tells me that “they do not know what’s going on at the facility”my container had to be transferred and diverted to. One agent said she did not know why my container had to go to that facility when it could have very easily been delivered directly to me. I am forced to pay a much higher rate than what I was quoted and I pay $1,525 and promised I would get my belongings soon. 30 days after paying that $1,525 I finally get my belongings and the container arrives unannounced with no call or e-mail prior. I was given various dates and 4 dates were no shows. I hired movers to help empty the container on the date I was promised it would arrive 7/21 but it never showed up until 7/25 and I only had 2 days to empty if for the return pick up
Of 7/27 and that never happened either. It’s 8/4 and this container has been sitting in my driveway.
1-800-Pack-Rat just can’t get their act together, totally disgusted with the lies, delays and diversion.
Look at others bad reviews on Consumer Affairs website before you decide to trust your move to this inept and unreliable service. Don’t end up like me.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

THE WORST COMPANY FOR MOVING PERIOD!!!!!…..me and my wife our three kids and two dogs were moving from La to Tn about an 8hr move. We had two containers scheduled for the move which cost $3750 which we paid half up front. The containers arrived at the house in La on time but that was the end of the anything being on time or anything resemble customer service! They picked up our second containers on the 11th of July and brought it to the storage facility there in La now mind you they charge you a a storage fee which is about $380 that is NOT explained in the contract. We called about the fee and customer service rep told us yes it’s not really explained in the contract but it like a rental fee for the containers…What?!!!! Per they’re contact they said it would be delivered within 8-10 business days, ok fine. Well according to those days we had family members fly in on they’re own money to help us unload the units per days they we expected them to arrive. I called the company the day before the 8 business day to find out the the containers were still in La. After asking when they would get shipped the rep tells me that they are having trouble finding a driver. I told them the last day to get here per contract in the 25th and I know it won’t be here by then if it hasn’t even left yet and I want compensation for it. The rep said that a supervisor will be in contact, which never happened. My wife and I have called customer service at least 24 times asking about when our containers will arrive with now answers other than they can’t find a driver! Seriously!!!!. We explained to them that no one from they’re department ever gives updates thru email, text or call about location of containers or when they would be delivered. On the 1st of August we called again just to find out that our containers arrived at the facility in Tn. We did not get an email call or anything about them leaving or arriving. We got a call from a supervisor about compensation and was told only $150!!!!1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC

DO NOT USE!!! Please take my advice and go with **** or some other company. Our pack rats have been sitting in our driveway empty for over a month. They just moved the date back two weeks on one of our boxes. The other was supposed to be picked up yesterday but even after my husband calling to confirm that we were on the schedule, they never showed up. Absolutely ridiculous!! I have never had such a horrible experience with a company before. Now we will just keep accruing HOA fees for having two giant pack rats on our property for over a month.
