      I am unable to get anyone on the phone even after being on hold for over an hour. I wrote them and they said I needed to call. This is not a good business practice and I hope the BBB investigates them because it seems that many people are having the same problem.

      I have been trying to get hold of Nelnet for about a month now. During the summer I spoke to a woman there who told me she was pausing my loans for a year and could call back the next year and the year after (total of 3 years) to do the same. She confirmed the loan numbers.
      It turns out she did nothing. $ is still being taken out of my checking account totaling $1300 a month! Now no one answers the phone, they put you on hold for longer than 2 hours. I’ve also sent 3 emails. Nothing back. So frustrating!!! Terrible company.

      I wish I could give them a zero. I have emailed 4-5x and been on hold for 5+ hours trying to get help and I cannot reach anyone. This entire repayment process has been extremely discouraging.

      2 days in a row I was on hold for over 2 hours with no answer, I finally hung up cause I'm calling after work and I have things to do. Ibhave emailed 4 times with no answer.

      They changed my account number after I sent a payment now my account says over due payment. I have screenshots of their confirmation of my payment and my bank confirming they took my money. So many people are having issues with this company after their account were switch from GreatLakes to Nelnet. This is ridiculous and they need to fix these issues. Using this company was not a choice. If I could change I would! How am I supposed to feel comfortable making another payment with this type of service????

      I am currently on hold for 1 hour and 25 minutes with no option to receive a call back. I need to make a one time large payment to pay off a specific loan group and I tried online and also on automated system over phone but it doesn’t have an option to pay the loan group I want to pay to lower my monthly payment. I called about 3 weeks ago and was on hold for an hour and a half and the rep was giving me attitude because I had so many questions, I asked to speak to a manager then after holding for another10 minutes I spoke to someone who took the time to help me. Now I am ready to apply what that person told me to do and I can’t do it online or automated phone system so I am on hold to ask more questions, now on hold for 1 hour and 30 min, how is a person supposed to pay their loans if they can’t speak to someone? I can’t take the chance that my large payment to allocated wrong. Can someone please reply to me? I want a new company for my loan service. I had Great
      lakes and they were great now they no longer service student loans

      I have attempted to reach out to nelnet several times by email and phone to arrange payment on my loan. I have been unsuccessful for months. My loan payment is now coming due in a matter of days and I have no way to log into my account and I've never been able to talk to a person. I have no way to update my contact information or repayment plan. I can't even get a paper statement sent to the proper address. It seems the aim of Nelnet is to get borrowers behind or in default. Nelnet's practices are predatory and it seems that there is no interest in addressing this for borrowers.

      Nelnet has be a living nightmare getting my password reset. Also I had filed to change the loan date and it never went into effective, so it was fun winding out my loan was also past due. The first person I talked to was not helpful at all after waiting 50 minutes to even speak to a human to get no solution was beyond frustrating. The first lady transferred me to a billing lady named Linda who was amazing. She was able to correct the password issue and file for an extension. She was very helpful, professional and kind. Thank you so much Linda someone get this woman a raise, she's the only reason this company is not getting a worse review. I have never had so many problem with an online portal good grief.
