      There needs to be a class action lawsuit against this predatory lender. Website does not function. Password reset every login, then told incorrect password again, then incorrect confirmation code, then locked out 30min-1hr. Repeat cycle. Customer service does not pick up the phone.

      It’s almost impossible to get a live person on the phone or it takes 4 hours. Currently when I call I get an error stating the number is busy. Very unprofessional and I wish I can another loan provider.

      NelNet is probably the worst company the government could have chosen. very poor customer service, they don't have an App, nor can you logon to your account without so many problems that it makes it difficult and challenging. I hate doing business with them.

      The company intentionally delays payments and takes an egregious amount of time to “process” payments. They continue to charge interest on the balance before payment while dragging out the process as long as possible and never backdate the interest to the date the payment was made. We are in 2024 and it shouldn’t take up to a week in many cases to process a payment. This is pure extortion.

      I have worked with representatives to set up automatic repayment with two separate bank accounts and have even received confirmation emails, yet the payments have not been processed and I continue to get notices that the payments aren't made. I even attempted to pay the entire balance off, worked with the representative to schedule the payment, and it was STILL not processed.

      As a servicer for hundreds of thousands of borrowers for Federal Student Loans they are a disgrace.

      Absolutely ridiculous that I have to update my password every single time I try to sign on to this frustratingly amateur website. Then I can't even use it for 30 minutes because I am locked out due to their absurd password rules. I am not sure who these morons think are going to logon to this website daily to keep their current password. People log on to oay their statements, maybe once a month. You would think with the massive amounts of interest they steal from young adults they could afford to run a decent website free of issues. This country and it's education system is flawed, corrupt, and not even remotely competent.

      Nelnet, get it together. Do better. I'll happily pay back the loans I took out but for the love of God, the website shouldn't be allowed to be terribly constructed and should be reviewed continuously to ensure it is user friendly.

      I have never been angry enough and wanted to do something to warrant a change. This company is unprofessional, rude, patronizing and unhelpful. I have had this loan serviced with Nelnet for years and never had an issue. I asked for the customer service representative assisting me if they had a supervisor I could speak with instead because she was patronizing me and talking over me rather than listening to the issue at hand. She claimed she didnt have one and I can call back. I asked for her information, name and position she said her name was Kari/Kerry? and proceeded to hang up on me. There was no name calling or anything negative on my part. Im sorry she felt challenged when asking for a supervisor but is just the normal chain of command if you are not knowledgeable with an issue is to provide help in another form. But hey they are more than happy to take payment over the phone and have all of my sensitive information. I am locked out of my account and suspected fraud....no help given. DO BETTER.

      They took over my loan and I have had to reset my auto payments several times as they will randomly have internal issues and make my payments show up as late. I never have late payments. I can never reach their customer support. I am researching ways to sue them as they are a constant hassle to my quality of life. Unfortunately, they took over my college loan servicer so I had no say in the matter. I hope they go out of business. Peace to all :).

      This company randomly changes monthly payment due dates AFTER you pay, and then fines you as being late on payment for the new due date.
      Worst customer service. No one answers the phone or responds to emails in a timely fashion.

      I used to have my student loans with Greater Lakes and they were wonderful to work with... can't say the same about Nelnet. They are constantly resetting my log in or my password so I'm not able to get logged in. They have cancelled my automatic payment drafts several times... why are you stopping a payment? Look like you would be thrilled to have someone pay their loans! And good luck getting in touch with someone there... Pathetic! Just pathetic! Nelnet needs to be shut down and our loans moved to someone who can actually handle it!
