      Customer service was friendly, but the woman could not tell me answers to: A. Why my payments were not allocating properly or B. Why I had capitalized interest on my account. Most of my account is paid ahead several months. I also paid interest to zero before the forbearance ended.
      She told me to delete my auto debit and pay manually and pay my interest to zero separately...Luckily, I work with loans and AFTs. After some thought, I figured out that the special instructions from Great Lakes about payment allocation transferred over to nelnet, and that's why my payments were not allocating properly, which I told her and she agreed. With all due respect, it's difficult enough having our loan servicer change, a customer service agent who is not educated in the issues that come along with that doesn't make it any easier. I was patient and kind due to their volume, but I find her response extremely counterproductive and harmful.

      Worst website ever created! Why make it so incredibly difficult just to pay towards my principal? Oh, that's right, it's because they're squeezing every cent they can out of me through interest.

      This company is a joke. I have been trying to pay my loans and they will not except payment. My loan is now over due. I don't believe there are humans that work there. No response what so ever to phones calls or emails. I see all of the reviews are basically the same complaints. Why is no one doing anything about this. This is truly unfair that this is allowed to continue.

      They reset my password and I cannot log in. I tried to reset it myself, and it will not recognize my new password. Every time I make a payment to payoff some of the loans, they post it as of the day that the transaction clears instead of when it was scheduled, which keeps the interest accruing and essentially keeping a small balance on it every day. I do not understand how they are not being reviewed by the Education Dept. I don't understand why they were chosen to service the loans, they don't even have a mobile app and the web app keeps you locked out. It just makes it seem like they don't want their users to log in. Extremely upsetting and zero consideration for Customer Experience.

      This company is fraudulent. I have tried to contact them multiple times about my Pell Grants increasing payment structure. This company will not respond to my attempts to contact them. The Federal Government shit the bed by allowing this company to victimize thousands of students. I am willing to pay my debt. I am not going to make double and triple payments to a company that cannot keep track of the money I've already paid them.

      This place is a total scam and a rip off of anyone trying to do the right thing by paying off student loans. Paying regularly and balances still remain high.

      The website is a complete fail to those who actively pay their loans on time or at all. I have been paying late fees every month because they say that my bank will not "give them" the money. All my information is correct and my bank said they never requested a payment. Nelnet apparently documented on my account and never did anything about it. I still ended up paying late fees AND my regular month payment from their mistake. A horrible system, never had an issues with my old loan company. Shut this company down they are stealing money from honest people without a care!

      I hate the fact that great borrows transferred my loan back to nelnet. When the forbearance happened during Covid, Nelnet had one of my loans still active and it showed that I was late paying a $35 bill to my account without me receiving any notification of having a monthly bill. The only way I found out that it was late was when my credit score dropped 80 points because of a missed payment. 80 points for a loan that was supposed to be in forbearance. Super disappointing because it's so hard to get those points back. Fast forward I consolidated and transferred my loans to Great Borrows and was really happy with them, but after Covid, GB transferred everything back to nelnet and yet now again I'm having problems. I'm not receiving any notifications of balance due, by email or mail, I have to just login and hope I can get to a dashboard. There's always maintenance or some error message. I paid them twice this month. The first time early February and thought that was it until March, but no. Thankfully I get communication through my credit bureau app and I was told I had a late payment. Low and behold it's another payment in the same month. I pay it just to not delay it further, but was not intending to pay them twice in one month. Already, one of my credit scores has dropped another 30 points!!! I cannot stand this company, it is hard enough to work on your credit score but for it to drop so drastically for a student loan payment that was already received at beginning of month is just obnoxious. This company needs to do better on so many levels.

      Just okay for student loan. They got rid of the app which was helpful. It is very difficult to get in touch with a person to assist. I tried to do the email question form twice and it just says tech error. So that doesn’t even work. They are slow at replying in general when I have been able to get in touch. The only redeeming quality is that Nelnet provider has not changed over the years but it appears they now are for some.
