My wife and I purchased 2 tickets online to see the **** ******* musical when we visited NYC. We thought we were purchasing the tickets from the ******** ********* box office, but instead it was an alternate ticket intermediary named ************************. We purchased tickets for Dec 1 but received tickets for Nov 30. On the evening of Dec 1 while preparing to go to the theatre, we looked at the tickets and realized what they had done with the changed date. When we called them they refused to refund our money or provide replacement tickets for the Dec 1 performance. They misrepresent themselves as a legitimate theatre box office of a legitimate theatre. They took our money and did not provide what we requested in our purchase. They were unwilling to provide a refund. They act like thieves and crooks in the way they do business and treat unknowing customers.Business Response

Every page of our website clearly states we are a resale marketplace. The checkout process clearly states we are a resale marketplace and all customers including this one have to agree to this before processing their order. This consumer can continue to slander our business if it helps them feel better about the fact their wife purchased the wrong tickets. This customer is committing fraud by agreeing to purchase tickets which were delivered on time, disputing the charge on their credit card and demanding a refund.
This complaint is closed on our end and should be as well with the BBB.

I don’t think there is really much left to say. We never received an answer why there were two order numbers. That continues to be ignored by the seller. I have also raised the issue of the intimidating and retaliatory language directed at my wife and me via text from the individual representing the seller, who BTW never identified himself or herself. The seller prefers to operate behind a cloak of secrecy. The seller has an issue with us disputing the charge on our credit card when their representative, ***, recommended we do that when we spoke with him the night of December 1, 2023 when we called to complain about the tickets. It’s 2024. Happy New Year to all.Initial Complaint

Box Office Ticket Sales is a leading resale marketplace. We rely on a vast network of local ticket brokers who often times have relationships with venues, teams or performers. All tickets sold through our marketplace are guaranteed. Box Office Ticket Sales has transparent pricing. All customers including this one must agree to an itemization of fees including the price of tickets, service fees and or delivery fees when applicable prior to authorizing their purchase. Additionally all customers including this one must agree to our terms and conditions which clearly state we are a resale marketplace and that tickets may be sold above face value. Our customer agreed to both. There is no action our customer needs to take at this time other than to enjoy their event. we consider this matter closedInitial Complaint

I purchased two tickets online for a concert and there are several issues with the transaction. First, I purchased the tickets in July and before processing the transaction I ddi not know I would not receive the tickets until the day before the concert. Second, the amount charged on my card was not the amount shown on the transaction window, it was a derivative of the difference between the service fee (not disclosed $ 168.74) and the fee charged for the insurance. Third, I purchased optional insurance offered at the time of the transaction for a refund of the amount if we could not attend for any reason. We called upon receiving the email details to dispute the charges. Some snotty person explained there was nothing they could do after being on hold for a long time and being passed around several times. We also were disconnected several times in the process as well. They told us they do not sell insurance, But now they are telling our bank they did offer insurance and it was in the charges but the coverage is not what we were told it was. I was told if we could not go for any reason we could receive a refund. The details on the insurance now are not for just any reason.Business Response

Box Office Ticket Sales is a leading resale provider of event tickets. We have reviewed the order placed by our customer from July and find absolutely no issues. There are not 3 issues with the purchase as this consumer alleges.
1. This customer agreed to the delivery terms when they selected the section and row as outlined the seller who listed the seats on our marketplace. In this case (see attached) the seller stated tickets would be transferred no later than 11/6 and that this customers phone would be their ticket for mobile delivery
2. Our website has transparent pricing and an itemization of the costs must be agreed to by all customers including this one prior to authorizing their purchase. The time to question these fees is before placing an order and not afterwards
3. This consumer likely did not thoroughly review the coverage available in the optional insurance. The coverage does not allow cancellation for any reason as this individual alleges. The coverage only allows for a cancellation under certain circumstances which in this case is buyers remorse which is not covered.
This complaint should be closed and there is no further action that this customer needs to take accept for to enjoy their event on 11/7

Box Office Ticket Sales is a resale marketplace. Within the resale ticket industry tickets are generally transferred no more than 48 hours prior to an event. During the checkout process this customer agreed to both the terms and conditions of the website which clearly state that all sales are final and that there are no refunds exchanges or cancelations. In addition the customer agreed to the delivery expectation that tickets would be available 11/29/23, see attached. As a leading provider of event tickets for over 10 years there's no reason for this customer to have hesitation or concerns with their purchase. They should not expect their tickets until the agreed upon delivery date attached. We consider this matter closed

I purchased 3 tickets for the “Mrs. Doubtfire show at the Bushnell Theatre located in Hartford, CT. I asked for good seats since we were bringing my sister who has special needs for her 60th birthday. They did give us an end seat for her. They gave us 3 tickets in the Balcony section. We were charged $487.57 and were told that they were good seats. On the website it mentioned that the Bushnell no longer sold event tickets and that we had to go through them. It seemed really high to me but my sister really loved the movie Mrs. Doubtfire. We went to the show on October 7th. The seats were not good. I spoke with a couple next to us who said that they paid $25.00 each for their seats and they were able to get them directly from the Bushnell box office. I feel that the Box Office Ticket website is very misleading and they are overcharging customers.Business Response

Box Office Ticket Sales has transparent pricing. All fees including the price of tickets, service fees, delivery fees and any applicable taxes are clearly itemized at checkout and must be agreed to by all customers including this one before authorizing their purchase online. The time to question these fees was before completing the checkout process and not afterwards. Additionally, all customers including this one must agree to our terms and conditions before authorizing their purchase. These terms and conditions clearly state that we are a resale marketplace not affiliated with any venue team or artist and that tickets may be sold above or below face value. As far as this customer speaking to other patrons at the event it stems to reason that individual prices will vary based on a number of factors including when they purchased, who they purchased from and the number of tickets purchased. Our customer received exactly what they agreed to and as such we consider this complaint resolvedInitial Complaint

Business listed the tickets seats for concert as reserved seating with wheelchair accessibility. The venue told me that these seats are strictly wheelchair only and not merely wheelchair access. They will not allow us to sit in these seats. Nor would we be comfortable seating and will chair only seating. I called box office tickets.com and asked them to exchange I Even offered to echange for cheaper seats somewhere in the area and keep the difference, but they refused. They told me I would have to take a loss on these tickets even though they misled the seating assignment and that I would have to repurchase new tickets. Completely unacceptable when there are plenty of seats to swap them out for and because they misled the seating assignment for wheelchair access only.Business Response

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales. We've worked with the ticket seller who listed these specific seats on our marketplace for sale and they have agreed to refund our customer in full. We do believe this resolves the matter. It should take between 3 to 7 business days for our customer to see these funds back on their credit card used for their original purchaseInitial Complaint

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales. We've reviewed the complaint filed by our customer. The tickets they received are 100% accurate, however the screen shots they were sent may have experienced issues scanning at the venue and subsequently denied entry. As such, the ticket seller responsible for fulfilling this purchase has agreed to issue a full refund which this consumer should have back to the credit card used for their purchase in a few days. Ordered Tiger baseball tickets on line along with parking and after entering info (seat pick, credit payment, etc) we’re told email confirmation would be immediately sent. Never received email or tickets for game or parking. Drove down to game anyway thinking at box office window they’d have out tickets. Nope. We were totally scammed.Business Response

8-15-2023 I purchased 2 tickets for an Oct 4th concert staring Kirk Franklin at the PNC area in Raleigh North Carolina via the internet. Today I learned that the tickets were purchased from a third party. Today, Sept 29th I called the Boxofficeticketsales in order to locate the tickets that I had purchased and was told that I needed an account . An account was opened and a password was assigned by the customer service representative.
Also, she cancelled the tickets for the concert and the seats were no longer available. I received an email notifying me this, therefore I asked for a refund. I no longer wanted the tickets since they were no longer available. I was told I could not get a refund and that I would get another chance to purchase these same tickets with a pending e-mail. Upon receiving the e-mail I was told to log on to my account and to repurchase the tickets. I do not want to repurchase the tickets. I want a refund. I expressed this verbally and forwarded an email to this effect. Because I believe I am being scammed.
First of all, I thought I purchased the tickets from Ticketmaster, later I was told that I purchased the tickets from boxofficeticket sales and then I was told I purchased them from Thomas. Go figure! With so much confusion, no tickets and an account that I do not want it's instinctive of me to forgo the concert and to request a full refund rather than to download an app on my phone in order to confirm the ticket and to receive tickets with a scratched out barcode.Business Response

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales. We are unsure why this customer is requesting a refund and their accusations that they have been scammed are meritless. We sell tickets to hundreds of thousands of customers annually
Our customer spoke with one of our extremely knowledgeable and helpful customer service agents on Friday 9/29 to assist them in accepting their event tickets. As we are nearly in the year 2024 and in a post covid world Mobile Ticket Delivery has become the gold standard for ticketing. Wether this customer purchased from us or one of our competitors the only way for them to attend this event is by using a smart phone and a mobile app.
To date this customer has refused to accept their ticket transfer regardless of how much time our team has given them walking them step by step through the process. It behooves them to immediately accept their tickets and stop wasting time filing false credit card disputes so that way they can attend their event which they clear showed intent on doing when they authorized their purchase. Additionally our customer knew they were buying from a resale marketplace as they agreed to our terms and conditions prior to completing their purchase.
We consider this case closed.Business Response
Date: 10/23/2023
Thank you again for contacting us. Our customer is hung on a minor detail which they're not giving a complete and accurate account of events that transpired.
1. Tickets were transferred on 8/31/23 the same day of their purchase
2. Our customer contacted us on 9/29 to state that they didn't remember their password on the ticketmaster app. As such, our normal process which was explained is that we would cancel the original transfer of the tickets. We informed our customer that this was standard operating procedure and that we would retransfer the tickets, which we did also on 9/29
3. You can see from the attached screen shot that tickets were indeed transferred
4. The customer emailed us on 9/29 stating they would no longer be attending the concert/
Per the terms and conditions of their purchase which were agreed to by this consumer, all sales are final and there are no refunds exchanges or cancellations.
This customers decision to voluntarily choose not to attend the event or accept their ticket transfer in no way absolves them of their responsibility to pay for the merchandise they agreed to.
As such, this complaint is closed on our end and no refund will be provided

I purchased 2 tickets from boxofficeticket sales on 9/9/23 at 3:27 PM for the ** ******* concert at 6 PM on 9/9/23 for a total cost of $387.95. The sales person Zach was rushing me to buy the tickets and was telling me that they were better than Ticketmaster since I was comparing prices with Ticketmaster. He told me that the tickets were final sales for the concert however at no time did he say that if the concert gets canceled we won’t get a refund. This is completely unacceptable because the concert started at 6 PM and ** ******* canceled at 6 PM. We purchased the tickets less than 3 hours before the start of the concert. We live in CA and not in Las Vegas. The concert has been rescheduled to October 28th and we won’t be able to make it back to Vegas. We would like a full refund. We tried to buy the tickets from the ********* box office directly and they don’t sell tickets and told us we had to buy online. Ticketmaster sent us an email and said to get refunds back from the vendor we purchased from. Please help us in getting a refund if $387.95.
