      You should only use this company if you're trying to punish your loved ones from the grave. My mother passed away almost 60 days ago and they have yet to pay out the policy. They claim they can only send the policy out by standard mail. Now, after the third time, they've lost it in the mail again. They claim to have sent it by certified mail. Yet there is no information on the tracking number. The overall lack of concern for the beneficiary is pathetic. You're probably better off putting money in a shoe box and hopefully the kids find it.

      Mutual of Omaha rocks and all the other insurance companies are a flop! I took out additional insurance through my job at Millard Lumber and almost 8 months later was injured and they were on it. Very professional and I recommend that anyone who doesn't think they need insurance - you better think twice cause I thought the same but got it anyway and thank God I did cause an ambulance ride to the hospital and stitches would have bankrupt me! So thankful!

      Disability plans do not treat existing clients fairly and claim adjustusters are rude, uncaring and undermining and do not take in consideration of the health and financial harm they cause intentionally for the clients.

      I called to inquire on accidental death policy, got it set up, then the agent went on to discuss life insurance I told him I currently have it, but he went on to explain the differences and costs. He was fine until I told him I need to think about it, then his attitude changed, to very short and unfriendly. I decided to cancel policy I just got hours ago, transferred 5 times! Someone else was just as hateful. Would not recommend them at all.

      So I thought Omaha Mutual was trustworthy however their are not. I am trying to get life insurance for my mom. When I called in July to get information and directions on how to go on doing so. I was told I had to get my mom on the phone to cosign that she was my mom or have her sign the application. All in which I did. I saw that the first payment had to be a $50 dollar money order on the application. Therefore I sent out my application with the $50 money order like advised on August 2nd. I called two weeks afterwards because I didn't hear or get any further information in the mail. I was told the mail was late and my application wasn't received. So I waited for two more weeks and again I was told all kinds of things. Again the mail was late. They tried to make me go through the process from the beginning. They said that my application was received but I marked a box that says she already has insurance and I don't remember doing that or even seeing a box with that option on the application. So I waited a few more weeks to see if anything would pop up in the mail or something and I still haven't received any further information. Since I didn't receive anything I called back for my last time. I was told that two application packages were out and I didn't receive any. I also think the application packages are the application and not further instructions. So I tried to email them and the fraud department wasn't able to help they just said call. The customer service department never answered. I received a your email was delivered response back from other departments... I hate to believe that I was scammed by an insurance company like I just was that had television commercials and what not. Good people of America don't trust Omaha Mutual or any other life insurance companies unless you do you research.

      Paid a lot for mortgage insurance, my husband died and I was told it was an accident policy. The coroner ruled it accidental and they still refused to pay. They said they sent it to an independent review but how is it independent when they are contracted by Mutual of Omaha? I am now getting an attorney. They left a 66 year old widow on the brink of losing her home so they would save $167,000. FRAUD. Do not use

      I am writing in hopes you will contact me regarding the customer service I have received from your company since initiating my claim on March 25, 2024.
      I've been degraded and humiliated by your employees. Advising me, the reason they couldn't follow up was due to them being in a tornado, and what did I expect them to do? Pass my case to someone else while they were looking for cover. Second, I was questioned about my ability to feed my family while I was back at work.
      I've been advised by your representatives that they are very aware of the mental health crisis and the time it takes to see someone, yet I've been treated as though my disabilities are not disabilities. 
      Most recently, your employees advised me that all I could do now was seek legal assistance. What company recommends that to a customer clearly in distress, with multiple disabilities, lack of income, and more? 
      I feel I have been laughed at, mocked, and treated horribly unfairly by your company, and I feel they are going to push someone over the edge if they haven't already. I know I've been pretty close to that while trying to work through this. 
      This is just a summary of what I have endured, and this whole situation has added stress to my already stressful situation. 
      I am hoping you will contact me as I would hate for anyone else to have to experience what I have experienced as I am not sure many people would be able to handle it.

      Beware - if you can, DO NOT use Mutual of Omaha.
      They refuse to release payments on time, the system of processing is slow, you are only able to speak with a customer service representative who inputs message’s in the system.
      I am appalled by the lack of transparency and timeliness of processing claims. Either they are severely understaffed, don’t really care or need some process improvement.

      They totally suck. I was trying to get off their mail list and this woman kept on going on and on and on about a free medical Life alert thing. She wouldn't stop she just wouldn't stop. So I couldn't get off there their mail list. I was hoping to resolve this through you the better Business bureau for this type of harassment. Thank you

      This company will NOT STOP sending me Life Insurance applications no matter how many times I tell them I am NOT interested and please STOP contacting me, they are wasting my time and their "no postage necessary" return envelope. I AM NOT INTERESTED wth is wrong with you people? Do you think if you constantly harass someone they'll change their minds? I receive at least two applications a month. I believe this company thinks if your over a certain age, that you've lost your marbles and will become persistent in obtaining YOUR MONEY. That is their sole purpose, to receive a monthly stipend.
