To cancel a membership is arduous, time consuming and SO last century. In the internet age, I should be able to cancel online. P.F. allowed me to sing up and pay online - why is it SO difficult to cancel a membership. I am being abused as a consumer.

I think they should put privacy curtains on a few or all treadmills for people to use that have sensory issues.

I had a near fatal car accident on 10/08/22, I broke my neck, had a fractured skull, brain injury, I had a deep and wide cut above my right side hip, I also had a cervical spine fusion surgery on 11/01/22 and I was on a neckbrace for almost 6 months, I couldn't walk, I had to learn how to walk with a walker, then with a cane and now on my own, I can't lift anything heavier than 5lbs, I can not go to a gym and do any type of workout, I'm still in the process of recovery, I'm still having physical pain, I tried many times for Planet Fitness to cancel my membership and to stop taking money out of my account and they said not to worry about it that they will cancel my membership, this has been going on since Oct of last year and they still take money out of my account, I'm not working, I won't be able to work anytime soon, the little money I have I needed for myself not for a gym that I can't even go to. Planet Fitness is very irresponsible, insensitive, unfair, they do NOT care about their customer's well being but about the money they can get out of everyone, regardless of their condition. I need all that monthly payment they have been taking out of my account. ***

Terribly-run business. They continued to charge me for over 18 months after I cancelled my membership in person. The account in question was drained and began to backdraft before I realized. This is after being assured in person that it was taken care of and no further action was needed from my side. When I called to ask for a refund I was treated with disrespect and my request was ignored. At least they let me cancel this time, we will see if they are still being deceptive trying to steal my money.

I Joined Planet Fitness in May, and decided within two months that this place was not good for my health due to some back issues. I tried to cancel my membership, but the onsite rep told me that he couldn't accept my Letter of cancellation.
So I WROTE the Corporate office from the online address at 113 Crosby Road, Ste 15 - Dover NH 03820. I sent it Registered Mail to the tune of $14.80, on July 7.
I just got the Letter back, saying the address was wrong!
Nowhere did I know it was at - 4 Liberty Ln W
      Hampton, NH 03842-1704
Now that I am seeing the RATING as being "F" - I can see why this company is talked about so badly, since their online presence is misleading. And I have been checking my bank account to make sure it is not still being charged.
      HORRIBLE COMPANY ethics.

Planet fitness will rob you blind. When I first signed up for the membership on the phone in front of them, I was never told about the cancellation. First they told me I had to cancel my membership at the place I was going, I couldn't cancel over the phone. When I went in person I was advised about the cancellation fee, which I paid and I was told I would not get my card charged again. Let me tell you they did charge my card again after my cancellation. The reason for my cancellation is because I couldn't work out, because it was always full. A lot of people have complained about this but they seem not to care and keep selling contracts knowing there is no occupancy.
I will dispute my $10, because I did pay the for the buy out of the contract. Shame on them stealing and lying to people, at least be honest from the beginning. They don't even deserve one star.

Canceled my membership 1.5 years ago. Continued to be charged. They continued to run up my balance even though it was connected to an old card. The payments weren’t even going through yet they kept my membership active and just let it all rack up. Terrible business. I genuinely hope that planet fitness goes out of business. They are terribly shady, and love to scam their customers. Any other service will cancel after a failed payment automatically….. ridiculous.

As a Senior citizen and A black card member. I pay extra to be a black card member so that I can go to this gym and work out and I find it offensive that you think it's a Great idea to allow kids between the ages of 14 and 19 to go free for the entire summer 3 months where I could work out. But now I can't because you've got kids playing on the machines with their phones, These kids come in 4 to 6 packs hang out on the machines. Never get off of them and All I want to do is work out to keep healthy. Now the machine are broke down more often because of them. When I confronted the front desk and Told them of my concerns regarding the fact that I go to the gym For my health as a senior citizen the front desk looked at me. And said well I can freeze my membership for those 3 months. While these kids go free? What kind of b******* business is that. And what kind of incentive will you be giving the paying customers that go there?

Planet Fitness policy about not being able to cancel by phone, in person, by email, or online is wrong. Get with the times. Who does that anymore with technology? Very inconvient with people's busy schedule. Join a Gym where you can go to but also easily cancel.

The P.F. in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania, has unprofessional disrespectful employees. I have no alternative but to leave in Feb. Of '23. After years of being a customer. I'm desperately waiting for someone in corporate to contact me. I've done, I've contacted everyone, P.F. at social, like the owner recommended, ive contacted, every entity. To no avail I can explain everything that happened. I can explain exactly what was discussed with me by a female employee that broke company laws, by telling me, gym customer ages, addresses, private information that she knew could get her fired. I was Harrassed, bullied, humiliated. Texted about on P.F. property. Laughted at, watched, talked about in the blackcard room. A incident was caught on video, regarding a employee and her boyfriend staring at me, talking about me, While i was on the treadmill on a Saturday, in May, they did not care, that i was mortified, at all, thats a example of bullying. Isn't there company bi - laws, against that? i had asked the manager to watch it. Game him the exact date, too. Told him to Show the franchise owner. Nothing happened. No disciplinary action, no recourse.
I also was Watched from a neighboring parking lot, same employee, did this, to see when and if I'd go in. When I did, this employee Texted or called her fellow colleagues, told them she wasn't going in.
There is no truly judgment free gym, it's impossible, especially when you have the attitudes of the people like these.
I had a witness come forward, to no avail. I do have every intention to speak to a counselor. But, I'd like to resolve this, first. I would like to speak or have someone from corporate contact .
