1 starThey were ok in the beginning when they were charging me $63 a month for my service which was high in my opinion considering my limited plan, but I lived with it. In the recent 3 months they decided to suddenly charge me $80+ /month because of "operational costs" it says in some letter they mailed me. My phone died and I went to one of their stores (June 21) and bought a Galaxy S21, they said it costs $700, though they said I can buy it outright for $185.30, and I paid that amount. Then they wanted to increase my monthly bill even MORE and saying I'm burning through my data, even though I barely use it. I decided I wanted to leave Verizon for good, pay off whatever it is I owe on that phone. I called Verizon several times at this point just about paying off my phone. They say I owe $680-something even though I paid $185.30 at the store. I Formally Accuse Verizon of Price Gouging and intend to report this to as many people/entities/government, etc as I can. At this point, calling Verizon about this will only get me transferred around to every corner of their call centers until I give up from a never-ending transfer loop. I don't think it's right or fair to end up paying over $865+ for a $700 (allegedly) phone!Review fromDiane S

1 starIm very disgusted with Verizon wireless. They are worst than the person who stole the new Iphone 13 I had. As a new customer from June *******, shy of ****** of service, with Verizon they violated my integrity and scammed me in contract. Now hindering my insurance coverage with Asurion to force me to pay for a stolen phone, I dont have in my possession. Or the other solution they customer service management had the audacity to say is give Verizon half the money in house to receive a replacement to purchase a new phone or bring an old phone to get a SIM card. The customer service managers lied to take my money, avoided coding correctly to result in asurion denies my claim because Verizon deactivated my phone as a new customer 7/6 without sending a billing statement until 7/14. Asurion stated Verizon claims onto their database I didnt activate insurance coverage. I have been on the phone battling back in forth with Verizon since Jul 11, 2022 without resolution. Verizon blaming Asurion. Verizon wireless your a scammer and stealing people money. Give me all my money, my number that was transferred to Verizon wireless. Verizon wireless, you breached the contract beforehand. Therefore Im released from all liabilities with the iPhone 13, billing incurred, and contract to continue as customer.Review fromSheryl C

1 starI was told that I would get an $800.00 trade in credit for my current phone if I got a new Iphone Pro 13 **** All I got was $135.00. I have a specific chat with a rep all printed out and it shows that she got access to my account to review what I had for a device and what my current plan was. I completed this and returned my old phone which was in like new condition and all they gave me on line was $130.00 which I never received. They said it was in a verizon gift card. I said no I was to receive $800 over 3 years my payments would reduce down to $9.72 a month. I have this all in writing. They are charging me $33.33/mo for 36 months. I have called to complain. After 3 months they gave me $66.00 credit, next month it happened again and they gave me $22.00 credit and next month again and another $22.00. They are now saying I wasn't eligible because I didn't have the unlimited plan. Yet the Chat person looked at my account and offered this to me without saying it. I want my bill adjusted without having to call them every month. I have all this in writing and they are still fighting me.Review fromTracy R

1 starI only wish I would've read these reviews prior to switching. we ported over a total of 5 lines and signed up for "start" unlimited plan. Paid ****** and were supposed to have the phones in 3-4 days. Didn't happen no biggie. Gave it another week and called ******************* the sales rep. ** said the could be overnighted and a credit would be issued for the charge along with the 200 for importing 5 lines and he would credit the activation fees. We finally rec'd our phones 5 days later. The porting wasn't added or documented so I spent 5 hours (not an exaggeration) with multiple reps then got transferred to tier 2. Finally all were ported and I thought we were in the clear. 2 days later we rec'v a bill for almost 400 for 3 days of service. Called CS. We were signed up for the wrong plan and none of the credits were documented. How convenient! Spent another 2 hrs on the phone last night with nothing resolved besides switching our plan to the original one that we asked for. While they did credit the difference moving forward, we are still responsible for the 5 lines that had the highest plan for a week. Even though I have text messages proving what was promised it doesn't matter. My final straw occurred today. Now that we changed our plan to the start, we can't rec'v or send any MMS and this is on wifi! Please please please save yourself the headache and don't go with Verizon. We now have 5 lines that don't work, are paying 3x what we were before and I have spent countless hours on the phone with them for nothing.Review fromJames B

1 starThey advertise their service or product for free and they end up charging you over $100 for their service Plus installments I think the government should crack down on these large entities that can do whatever they want and get away with it when they advertise free it should be free.Review fromEugene S

1 starBeen a customer of ********************** since the days of the bag phone. Forced into a change due to the 3G being eliminated. Had older flip phones. After a 1/2 hour wait at a Verizon company store, was told we would have about another 2 1/2 hour wait. Was given an appointment. Two days later, with the appointment and waiting 3/4 of an hour, got a rep. ** the meantime we got a phone delivered to us for my wife's phone #, even though I was primary on the account. She wanted a phone with a full keyboard. Was told nothing was available unless we got a smartphone. I asked if I could take that phone and was told - No, it was registered to hers. If I wanted to switch it to me it would cost $99.99. We asked about the simplest smartphones. Were told we had to change plans. This would go from $20.00 plus fees per line, to $70.00 per line PLUS FEES. They did take the phone back and we said not to change anything as we wanted to think about it.We wound up purchasing 2 phones and signing up with another company, $20.00 per line, unlimited talk and text, 1MG of data that was adjustable with no fees for adjusting. For some reason, we were not able to port our old numbers to the new phones, even though I had spent another 45 min at Verizon getting a porting number. No big deal. We had saved ON PAPER, all our contacts and entered them manually into the new phones. Changing the numbers might have been a blessing in disguise as we could thin out the contacts that had our numbers and maybe reduce the number of junk calls we got.I called the new new provider for help with the porting thing and they were very helpful. We would have had to change the simm cards and set the phones up again to do it. ** the end, we just kept the new numbers.Just before I contacted the new provider, I got ANOTHER phone delivered to me, attached to my phone #.I then closed my Verizon account, no problem, took effect immediately and took only 5 min.It gets worse, but I'm running out of allowed space here.Review fromPerry H.

1 starIt took 5 hours to complete an online transaction of purchasing 2 phones and update my account. Was told with changes and new phones, my bill would remain the same, around $120/month. Received email invoice for changes $3403 or $360/month. Took all day to correct!!!Review fromJ K.

1 starI attempted to change my plan to upgrade with a legacy discount that required a representative (couldnt be done on the website). Two days, two wrong orders, and one cancellation resulted after extensive texts with reps. ************ ineffective, unnecessarily complicated, error-prone process. There is literally no way to get my order corrected and no way to escalate my case. Apparently theres also no way to simply return to my previous plan. Its been a surreal, time consuming and bizarre process.Review fromStephanie P

1 star**************** is terrible. No one knows what is going on there. Ordered a new iPad 8/23 with 2 day shipping. Followed up 8/25 and was told not shipped yet but would ship Monday/Tuesday not to worry. Today 8/30 I receive an email my order is cancelled. I reach out to find out whats going on and Im told by rep ** my order was not cancelled, and it was shipped, I asked for tracking which they could not provide, then told just kidding it was cancelled. I ask why and they say it was because it was the same order number as the phone I ordered at the same time. I can reorder because its in stock. Rep ** tells me yes it was cancelled, just kidding it wasnt cancelled and shipped this morning, also could not provide shipping, transfers me to rep ** who tells me it shipped and she will look for tracking, oh just kidding it was cancelled because its out of stock, 5-7 days for refund but you can reorder it because its actually in stock. Ummm what!? No one knows what they are doing. Glad I didnt wait another 2 days to find out it was never arriving. Now waiting 5-7 days for the refund but if I reorder they will waive my activation fee but only after I order and pay the activation fee and hope they actually credit my account. Last time I had an issue and couldnt make calls on my phone for 2 weeks they gave me a whole $10 credit! Just spent hours of my day with nothing accomplished but a headache.Review fromLinda S

1 starWorst excuse for customer service ever. ********************** obviously values new customers far more than existing ones, which is just sad. Weve been loyal Verizon customers for over 20 years. But today, yall just hit the limit of what I can deal with regarding incompetency, insulting remarks and horrifically bad customer service. We have multiple lines with you and were trying to add yet another. But, your shipping center in **********, ***** sent our phone to Eve in ***********. And *** received our phone. (Lets not even TALK about the **** issues involved, since I shouldnt know **** name, where she lives or her phone number.)After having taken a half day out of his work week to discover that Verizon sent the wrong phone to us and there is no fix for it except to send it back (and HOPE that *** sends her incorrect phone back as well), the customer service representative was so insulting to tell him he was lucky because Verizon would waive the restocking fee. PARDON ME? Lucky? That we dont have to pay for something that was their fault in the first place? We have to drive 80+ miles, round trip, to get to a Verizon store, because this situation cannot be resolved in a timely manner by visiting an authorized dealer. This phone was going to be a work phone for my husband, so business cards, and more, have been ordered (and paid for) with the number that we were assigned.Even with all of THAT, my husband was willing to take MORE time out of his schedule to drive to a store. He didnt ask for gas reimbursement or money back for the cards, etc. that will now need to be corrected. The ONE thing he asked for was a phone upgrade. Thats it. A measly phone upgrade from a multi-million-dollar company with whom weve done business for more than 20 years. And they said no.Instead, we were told that there are no promotions on the upgraded phone. Im sorry, but how is that my problem? FIX the situation. Thats what good customer service is. Thats what you do when your c
