      Beware - The policy will "repair or REPLACE.... or offer a cash buyout" - aka give you a Lowes gift card for less than half of the cost of a new machine. Do yourself a favor and save your time and money. This policy will NOT be worth it unless you get very lucky.This is the clause in the contract that apparently gives them full right to decide that my $1000 broken washing machine deserves a $406 "buyout"."We reserve the right to offer cash back in lieu of repair or replacement in the amount of Our actual cost (which at times may be less than retail) to repair or replace any covered system, component or appliance."If you can imagine a middle finger in the face right after that sentence - that sums up my experience.

      If there was less than 1 star that would be my rating. I purchased a home and the Home Choice Warranty was part of the closing deal from the seller. About 2 months in there was a leak at the kitchen sink & the disposal went out. Called to place a claim & was told it was pre-existing so they declined. Explained I was the new home owner, still declined. 8 months later called with an AC issue, asked if a certain AC local business was on their list, was instantly told my claim would be declined. Someone please explain how this works outside of saving your money & not buying this horrible insurance.

      This warranty company lies, misleading, false advertising and is a complete SCAM!BEWARE!! STAY AWAY!! Unless you like throwing away money, doing the leg work yourself along with installing, stay waya from choice home warranty. I've had several home warranties. Choice is the worst by far

      I wish I could leave Zero star rating and even that would be to good for this company. Stay away from Choice Home Warranty. They have denied three legitimate claims. Very rude on the phone. Two of the three denials were just 'we don't cover it' without hearing about the issue first. I wouldn't pay $5 for a 5-year warranty from Choice. They absolutely **** at customer service and covering claims, even those that are covered in the contract. This is an alert not to use Choice Home Warranty; it is a complete waste of money. Of the $1000 plus that I paid them, they offered me $34 refund to cancel.

      I wish I would have read these reviews before paying for this service! I am besides myself upset. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Poor customer service! Will not cover anything. Now I am trying to call, and every phone number I try is disconnected. Maybe they are out of business. What a bunch of crooks!!!

      Filing a complaint about the service for my air conditioner having to wait 8 days to have it repaired. Telling me that they will not honor my service warranty and and waiting for their approval before service, by them for having it repaired, in a reasonable amount of time.

      The absolute worse warranty company *** used. I've spent over $1000 on claims for stuff needing tobe fixed for them to send someone out to look over the problem I have $100 each visit and they have fixed absolutely nothing and/ havent done anything in there job description. Saying stuff isn't covered in the warranty. And the customer service is 0/100 ******* D and ******** T were rude, unprofessional, whichever or whoever i talked to was terrible. Id advise ***** to use this company because even all the technicians that have came out say theyre not a good company to work with. They never pay for anything.

      My ac unit blew out due to being 22 years old. Choice sent out 2 different techs to evaluate it even though the 1st tech told them the unit needed to be replaced. The 2nd tech said the same thing. They denied the claim saying they're are "pistons' inside the ac unit and they don't consider that normal wear and tear not considering that pistons can get clogged with debris from and old compressor or corroded coil.I appealed the claim and spoke to ******** the manager and explained this to him in which is response over and over was thats not considered normal wear and tear. Stay away from Choice. They always have an issue finding techs to fix things even a little faucet leaks takes weeks to fix!! Worse home warranty company ever.

      I'd select -10 if I could DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!I opened claim on 2/24/2025 for furnace not working.2/24/2025Furnace failed, vendor scheduled for 2/25 2/25/2025vendor ordered a new board 2/28/2025board ***laced 3/9/2025Furnace failed again, called CHW vendor scheduled for 3/14 3/14/20251st vendor no-show 3/18/2025called CHW asking for different vendor 3/18/20252nd vendor ordered a new board 4/1/2025Call CHW for Status 4/2/2025vendor to check with supplier re: part 4/8/2025I ***lied to email 4/14/2025Call CHW for Status 4/18/2025vendor said they have the part, scheduled 4/24 4/24/2025vendor no-show, no-call (wasted 5 hours waiting)4/28/2025Call CHW for Status 4/28/2025"vendor said the part didn't arrive, that's why he didnt' show up, said it should be received 5/2, schedule for ***lacement that day I declined - said Im not wasting another 5 hours just to have a no-show again.They will call Friday 5/2 "5/5/2025called vendor - they need to check with the tech 5/6/2025called vendor - too quiet, asked if I could text instead.5/6/2025texted vendor, they said they have phone issues, they'll call me back in 25 minutes 5/7/2025"Since they didn't call, I called them- asked to schedule for 5/15 - they don't have the part I mentioned that when the vendor was at the house, they said:System Board needs ***lacement said something about heat ****************** monoxide recommended ***lacing the furnace.the CHW *** is contacting the vendor and will call me back"5/12/2025Called CHW they asked vendor for update 5/19/2025called again - still waiting for part 6/30/2025 still waiting for part.7/2/2025 told them to cancel my policy with full refund, they cancelled it with only a prorated refund.

      Leak in my ceiling in two spots. I had to wait 2 days to get a plumber assigned and 5 days to get the plumber to my ****** CHW sent a plumber out to assess the work. He submitted his work to *** who then reassigned the order to another plumber. I have no idea why. The 'claims department' rejected his work? I called a *** and had the plumbing company manually reassigned to my case (he could come in two days to do all the work and my ceiling was - is - getting worse and worse) and they reassigned the case again. I called twice to get a manager to call me because no one, no one, could tell me why the case was being reassigned. After 3 hours a manager called me and told me nothing new. She even told me that calling and asking for a manager to call me wouldn't change anything. She can't do anything more than the CSR's. She was unable to offer anything of 'goodwill' to make it better, and now I have to wait another ***** hours to get another plumber assigned, and then however long until they can come do the work. In the meantime, the water damage to my ceiling is getting bigger and bigger. I don't even know if they will fix the damage.
