      Never use this company. My ac unit has been out for over a week, *** had sent a contractor out to fixmy unit. That contractor claimed the part needed was on national backorder (untrue, I've found several), and *** had been notified of the situation and haven't contracted any other business to finish the job. I can't even get an escalation to have another company to finish a job that has been started and abandoned.

      Worst Home warranty. Lier, play games. Couldn't find a Technician for me. Requested me to hire my own technician and fix it. Promise to reimburse it.But then started to play games, with "If" and "but" clauses.

      DO NOT CHOOSE Choice. I am in the middle of battling my second claim with them. 11 days and no tech to fix my refrigerator. They are of no help when calling to follow up on a claim and as a matter of fact, they closed one claim when I called to follow up. Their promises are just vapor. They will offer you the option of finding a tech on your own, but will not re-imburse you the cost of the service. ***, my first claim with them took 8 days. Their ***** hour promise is a farce.

      This is a terrible company that runs on completely scamming people. Please dont bother asking them to send someone out for ****; they will take several days. They gave me the option to find my **** tech, which I did. He told me that the only way unit work again like normal is for a new inside blower motor, which was $1,100, so I said go ahead because its over 90 degrees in ******* during the summer. I was then my compressor might also be going bad, so I decided to let Choice send someone else for a 2nd opinion because when the compressor goes out most want to replace the whole unit. The **** tech completely canceled on the day he was supposed to come out, so I said I would just put in for the repair that was already done. I was then told that because my technician didnt submit a claim for review that they wouldnt cover it. He has documentation that my blower motor was bad, but they still wouldnt cover it.

      I have had choice HW and dud use it a *** times, the last claim over a year ago still hasnt been resolved. I have written, emailed 3 times to Cancel my account. I have called 2-3 times with no immediate resolution. I get placed on hold then the Auto Support Menu comes on. Got a call back and yet another failed attempt, I again get the *********** telling me that someone will be calling me back, its a Merry Go Round of failed attempts. I wont recommend this company to anyone, if you do take their offers, try and cancel it after a few weeks good luck you have been warned

      I started a home warranty contract 2 months ago with Choice Warranty, specifically because some of my appliances are aging as well as my HVAC. I have had my HVAC serviced for the past 15 years every year, twice a year. I have had no major repairs done and it has never stopped working. I have only had a wall thermostat replaced and I also had a water overflow sensor put in the overflow water pan. My last service maintenance was performed on April 9th. System is aging but still working. On June 27th my air conditioning unit stopped working on a 90 degree day and I put in a claim to Choice Warranty. They did get back to me until June 28th to say they had not been able to dispatch to anyone and I could have my own technician come out and then file a claim for reimbursement. The technician from our service company came out and after 2 and a half hours got the system working temporarily but advised that a replacement was needed and that the parts and labor to get it back to a good working condition would cost about the same as a new system. He submitted the claim for reimbursement for a new system and the claim was denied and I appealed. Choice Warranty also denied my appeal. Reason, normal wear and tear on an old unit is pre existing before my contract start date. Of course a 20 year old unit would have normal wear and tear before my contract date. So would every other appliance in my house. This is the clause that they get you on:Consequently, the contract does not cover any known or unknown pre-existing conditions.I CANCELLED MY CONTRACT

      BEWARE!!! This company offers cheaper home warranties than other companies just to deny you after you pay them a deductible and submit your claim.I had an air conditioner repair claim submitted. And I have a friend that uses the same company and they denied us both for the same reason. I spoke to Shemar Macintosh their sales representative who told me that my friends claim should not have been denied. And then they turned around and denied me for the same reason..DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!

      I have had choice for over a year, and never missed a payment. I recently experienced a broken washing machine and after finally getting a response from Choice they told me its not covered due to a manufacturer recall. The manufacturer has declined and advised they are not able to honor the recall because there is no model or serial number. ********************** claims they have this information but refuses to provide it. All of the money i have paid to choice alone could have bought me a new washer, but no Choice has to be cheap. I have called but they always prompt a call back and I havent received my last two call backs. i have sent two emails to my claims appeal manager's assistant or whatever with no response. I know for sure this is a million dollar company who chooses to give the run around for a $500 washing machine that I know my money alone would cover. Bad business. I will be leaving choice. Only chose 1 star because it wouldnt allow me to select none. I hate greedy companies.

      Choice Home Warranty might as well be a scam. I am a first-time homeowner and thought I was lucky to have the seller include a one-year home warranty. Six weeks into moving in, I've run into an issue with my plumbing, one that may be major. Now, the folks at Choice Home Warranty are twiddling their thumbs and slow rolling my claim. I haven't had functioning toilets or showers for over a week, and they seem to not care, not understand that this is an emergency, and not want to approve work orders from the plumbing company that would allow them to proceed and resolve my issue. This is irresponsible at best. I am unable to live in my home right now while they are giving me the run around. I would advice new homeowners or any homeowner interested in a home warranty to avoid Choice Home Warranty. Spend your money with a company that actually does what they say they will do.

      I left a claim on some electrical outlets. Going on 4 weeks and no response. When calling you can never talk to anyone. Message states that you should leave your number to be placed in the ** Almost 2 weeks later no call back. My number left in Q twice. When signing up and on the website it states 24 hours or in some cases 48 hours. It states hours, not weeks. We paid an upfront balance of over 3k for a 6 year plan and this is how we are treated. After doing some research I found the contact information to the CEO. I will try that and if no response my next step is the attorney generals office.
