On May 4, 2023, I completed a Current Events research study with Sago, which would pay out $150. However, as of this date I have not received anything. I have contacted them at least 4 or 5 times, but no one has even bothered to respond or get back to my ticket. I wasted my time doing this study just not to get paid. I don't know why a simple study would take almost two months to receive a simple payment. The issue here is it said it has been paid out to me, but this is not true at all because I did not receive a single reward. The incentive was for $150. I chose a virtual **** debit card for $140 and a Target gift card for $10. I do not like how this company is operating. When it comes to money, I don't appreciate being ignored. That is not professional. I see there are many complaints on this very issue. I just want what I was promised and not be told it was sent to me when it truly wasn't.Business Response

I did a survey for the Schlesinger Group Inspired Opnions I was paid with a debit **** Card **************** the card expired and the funds were taken back by the Schlesinger Group. I would like the money back $69.93Business Response

(This is the only study you have participated in) Unfortunately, once the gift card expires, we are not able to have the card reissued. These are pre-paid **** cards they do not fall under the gift card regulations and expiration is set by the provider. I complete surveys for the Schlesinger Group and receive compensation for this. I have had trouble with getting credit for surveys completed and compensation for I have earned. i used their email platform to request help with the problem. i sent requests on 2/26/23, 3/29/23, 4/17/23 and 4/25/23. Each time I received a Zendesk automated reply indicating that all requests will receive a reply. I have received no replies. I am not concerned about the two oldest items as I no longer complete their surveys, but the last two are about compensation they indicate they have paid me. I am missing a $50 gift card and have a shortage on an e-giftcard. I had several $50 gift cards I received, and i cannot be sure of which card is missing as they do not reference gift card payments with reward ID numbers. I have left messages twice on the phone number they have listed, but they never returned my call. I am frustrated that this company can just ignore all requests!Business Response

05/19/2023 I was told to expect an email upon completion of the research survey to confirm incentive payment. Email did not arrive. After multiple attempts to reach customer support over the phone, email, ******* DMs, no employee would even answer my question, only saying incentive arrives 4-6 weeks. When Id say Im not asking about the incentive, ** asking about the email I was told to expect upon completion of the study, they would again say incentive arrives 4-6 weeks and say they didnt know what I was asking. When we replied to your helpdesk ticket, our social media team advised us they already addressed your login issue which is why we did not address that issue originally as that issue was already resolved. Please refer to your helpdesk ticket which states the following" Our socials team had informed me that you were able to login yesterday and were worried about your incentive. On 5-22-23 i performed a driving simulator for the Schlesinger group, with payment to me to be paid in same day, Nobody answers the phone or emails from this company, they don't even reply to instant message on ********* I just want paid for services performed, i finally got a reply to a message i sent yesterday say it would be 4 weeks to be paid, nowhere did it state this prior to services.. I participate in 2 studies, completed them and have two email's stating that I received payment in my account. So that's all good - But i'm unable to login to the account. Their system requires email verification, yet provides no way to verify my email. All the advice on their websites has not help me get into my account. As of May 2 i have sent 4 emails and left 3 messages requesting help. I have had no response. I will send a snail mail request on Monday asking them to give me access to my account and to send a check.for the two studies. I have an appt for another study and feel if they have no support staff that can help me access my account, its best i cut my losses and cancel that appt. This company seems like it has potential. They need to hire someone to clean up the their "technology" links and issues - starting with my issue - give me access to my account.Business Response

I was selected to participate in a research study. First part included a homework assignment for $125 and then an in person for $250. I completed homework then the in person study was canceled about an hour before their team was supposed to come to my house. I received an email from the project manager (see attached) that stated I would be compensated for the entire study and nothing further was needed from me. The study was supposed to take place March 6th. Today is May 19th and still no payment. I have reached out multiple times to the project manager who said hed look into payment and has since stopped responding to me. I have sent a message to Schlesinger a few weeks ago, no response. *** called and left a message. No response. Im owed $375 that Im not getting any response about. Its supposed to be 4-6 weeks for payment. Were beyond that 4-6 week period with no indication I will receive payment at this point. Ive done studies with them before and have never had any issues receiving payment but this is ridiculous at this point.Business Response

On Friday May 12th 2023 I made a redemption request for a virtual **** gift card for 65$. As I read the *** it states that redemptions made on weekends get processed first thing Monday morning. We here it is almost 3 pst in ********** and my redemption is still processing. What is up with this? I don't mean to sound impatient but I've waiting for ******** thing since Friday morning around 10:24 am. I've sent countless emails with no response. I don't understand why it takes this long to process a 65$ virtual gift card. I honestly don't think I will want to participate in any other studys that *** get offered to me. Dear BBB,I am writing to file a complaint against Sago Focus Group regarding my outstanding payment of $900.00, which I was supposed to receive on a physical **** card. I requested the payment on 3/20/23, but as of 5/15/23, I have yet to receive it.I have attempted to contact **** Focus Group multiple times to resolve this issue. On 5/9/23, I sent an email to inquire about the status of my payment, but I did not receive a response. On 5/12/23 and 5/15/23, I called their customer service number, but I was unable to speak with a representative.My ID Request number is *******.
