      This company is a scam, especially sale person. NOT covered when the problems occurred (happened to me twice, what is the point to have home warranty for). I will cancel the remaining policy.

      This company isnt even worth the 1 star review. On two separate occasions they fraudulently took my service call money and never fixed the issue. I have gone round and round with foreign speaking customer service reps that always tell you theyll have a manager call back and it never happens. This is a scam company that takes your money and offers nothing in return.

      Very bad business ethics as the company did not fulfill its' obligation to provide service. In November of 2022, I put in a claim to have my pool water heater repaired. I did not receive any technician/company to my assigned case for repair. I refiled the claim and they said in an email that their contractor is not available as they were very busy. Now, after almost six weeks later they still haven't produced service for my claim. So, I called and was very upset, after explaining to the agent that I deserve a refund for the last two months of payments ($100) during the case period, the agent said she would send my request to the appropriate department. During my conversation with the agent I cancelled my contract. Latter that day, I received an email about my cancellation. The following day I looked at my bank account and ********************** deducted $75 as a cancellation fee. No $100 reimbursement. I want to request my refund of $100, for 2 payments of $50, and $75 credit to my bank account, as they did not abide with their service obligation.

      Don't buy this warranty. SHW doesn't have enough qualified technicians that can do the work for them. So far, I've been waiting 8 business days to have the request go through their approval process to get my oven fixed. I use the oven almost every day so I've had to buy appliances so I can cook. Don't call them before a holiday or a weekend. I've escalated my complaint twice within SHW. The repair company they selected can't even get an answer to order my parts and do the work. I call almost every day and it sounds like things are moving and the next day you have to call again. My last repair took 5 weeks to get a dishwasher repaired. They give you next to nothing if an appliance needs to be replaced.

      I was promised to get $95 refund for microwave which emailed receipt and was confirmed that was receiving but 2 months later was told that was never received and in another call I was told that I need to find my own plumber and refused to find me one which I did and end up fixing and pay for it myself and when I asked to disconnect my service with them they charged me $225 for early disconnect This is the worse company I had ever done business with.They are totally a ripe off company and punch of lires

      Worst company ever signed up for a year they switched me to month to month and refuse to cancel without extra fees I made a claim for kitchen sink nobody ever showed up to fix pver a week fixed it myself I made a claim on leaky pool filter some one did show up took my 75 dollars never heard from them again fixed it myself trying to get reimbursed was the worst with all the emails and wait time took about a month to receive reimbursed payment They also string you along so they can keep charging you before you get your money back WORST EXPERIENCE EVER DON'T DO IT

      They are the worse company I hv ever deal with they tell you anything to get your business ad hide fine print code abt there policy when listed the items they will cover under there plan ad demiss yr claim like refrigerator issues pike leak in the house ad etc anything u call in ad then charge you $75.00 to cancelled yr contractor ad if you don't they keep billing you if you don't pay it the same day you called in until you pay they are terrible I am done I called several times this year never fixed anything

      I have been a customer of ********************** for about 3 years. I filed my first claim 12/28/2022,which was a leaking garbage disposal. I received an email from Select Home that they would Pay $75 to replace the garbage disposal but they are not responsible for installation. I have to mow pay to have the garbage disposal installed. WHT am I paying Select monthly premiums if I have to do the work. I have had Home Warranty before and ******** send over a plumber and he brought with him a new garbage disposal. I paid him the contracted amount. I had to do nothing. IF THIS IS THE WAY SELECT HOME WARRSNTY IS TREATING OTHER CUSTOMERS IT'S A RIP OFF. Other customers need to voice their complaints. They connect you with support team that can hardly speak English. Which tells me that they are contracting from outside *****************, paying cheap labor and cheating their ** customers. ???? I am reaching out for your help. I will be canceling my contract. Which they never sent me. Disgusted!

      I give this home warranty company this rating solely on their annoying, aggressive, marketing techniques. After the first email, I told the representative that I was currently covered by another company and that contract would expire several months into the future. I also told them that I would contact them should I decide to switch companies. I continued to be bombarded by emails and phone calls almost to the point of harassment. Based on that experience, despite the great reviews for this company, I would never consider using them.
