ONE STAR IS TOO GOOD FOR THIS COMPANY Criminal Company. Called to cancel contracted services and told confirmation of cancellation would be mailed within 7 days. No confirmation received. Billed again after being told contract/ services were canceled. Called to inquire. Somehow connected with the same agent I originally canceled with (Agent would not provide name or operator number at time of cancellation). Agent refused to connect me with with a supervisor, then hung up on me. Follow-up call to customer service also unsatisfactory and again refused access to a supervisor. DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. They appear to prey on senior citizens selling them contracted services that are not needed. Rude and unprofessional agents.

American Water Resources should be investigated and closed down. They are scamming the public. They send out low grade plumbers, then tell you that your claim is not covered under their policy. According to ***, only exposed plumbing, clogs or small leaks are covered. If you have a leak behind a cabinet or wall, they will deny your claim. Since they are advertising as a plumbing company, then all plumbing should fall under their plan. You pay for months/years only to find out that they will not cover your claim. They first approved my claim, but when I didn't like the low grade plumbing company (********************************) that they sent out, I requested another company. They sent another company, but then denied my claim. It was the SAME CLAIM as the first company, but because they said that the second company worded the claim differently, my claim was denied (after months of fighting with them). UNBELIEVABLE!! After I cancelled my policy, they had a nerve to ask if I wanted to add a new or different policy. NEVER!!American Water Resources, LLC

American Water Resources is a total scam. I signed up early in the year. When I need service I was told someone would be out in a few days. Nobody ever showed up, when I call they tell me they dont have technicians for the area. Why do they cover the area and take monthly payments, but dont have techs? You can never get anyone on the phone. Its been over a month. A month later I was told they have nobody to do the job. I wish I could give them no stars. This is a totally scam, I dug up my own water line and repaired it: Do not sign up for this service!!!!American Water Resources, LLC

Filed a claim for an external water leak on 9/10/24 after my water bill went up 200%. They use 2 plumbing companies in the ************ area and I was told by the water company not to use one of them because of their incompetence. The 2nd ******* arrives 3 hours late on 9/11 to assess the issue and I have yet to hear back from him. According to his online profile he does basic plumbing and HVAC work and doesn't have the equipment to fix the problem. I have called American Water Resources daily and get the same answer that the claim has been assigned. If you ask to speak to a supervisor you are put on hold for up to an hour. This company has no sense of urgency to resolve your issues never communicates back to you via returning calls emails. The bottom line is that the contractors they use do not have either the equipment or experience to fix broken water or sewer lines. American Water Resources protection gives consumers a false sense of security and don't provide services when needed. Their response to all complaints is a cookie cutter response. I most likely will hire my own contractor within the next few days since we have been limiting our water usage and can't live this way indefinitely since I have no idea when they will address this issue. What they do is nothing short of scamming unsuspecting customers.American Water Resources, LLC

We have a ****************************** line protection plan with AWR for which **** paid monthly for many years. We had a water line leak which we reported to them immediately. They engaged a subcontractor to repair the leak. The contractor they engaged failed to put wood boards under their heavy digging equipment to protect our driveway. The driveway was damaged. The cost to repair the damage by resurfacing the driveway was over $6,000. The other alternative was to fill the damaged areas & then seal coat the driveway to hide the damage & repair as best as possible. That was estimated at $850. We were willing to accept that as a settlement despite it requiring repeating the seal coating every 2 years at our expense. We were trying to be reasonable to avoid going to court demanding resurfacing. *** refused to accept any responsibility whatsoever. It was their contractor not ours. *** told us to deal with their contractor to get the driveway repaired. Again, our agreement is with *** not their subcontractor. *** is the party responsible to us for the damages but they refuse to accept any liability. Very unscrupulous of them to treat a customer in such a manner.American Water Resources, LLC

Horrible experience! I had the waterline coverage (which I paid upfront not monthly) and both the indoor and outdoor electrical coverage(also paid upfront for the year).I called to make a claim on August 20th and they couldn't get a plumber to come put for two days and then on the day they were supposed to show up between 12-4pm they were late and did make it until 7:26pm! Then they could unclog my a/c unit drain line from the outside so the plumber says AWR would have to reach out to us after approval because they'd have to break the wall or tile to access the clog from the inside.They said it'd take 24-72hrs to reach out to us. Needless to say we never heard back from the contractor nor AWR after my wife and I called them repeatedly. They'd say we'll we have to hear back from the plumbing company and then the plumbing company said they submitted the request to break the wall. So as of September 3rd they(the plumbing *** finally call me and tell me AWR doesn't cover repairs if it requires breakage of wall or concrete. I asked why did it take 2weeks of missing work and enduring leaking water for them to tell us this??? Needless to say I used chat support to cancel the coverage. The retention **** tried to offer me 50% off and I told them it wasn't the price but the quality of service. What good is cheaper cost if they can't fix or cover what you need them to? Also each time we called to find out why we had heard anything from either company, the **** on the phone always tried to upsell me on coverage. Not only that they went up $100 from the prior year and I didn't recall getting any notice of it. I read my emails daily so that was also a sore spot. How about *** my problems before trying to upsell me?? I canceled and DO NOT recommend at all!!American Water Resources, LLC

This ********* is a scam, its impossible to talk with somebody and when you are lucky to do it, they transferred to someplace else where let you wait for HOURS. Finally after a week that I had to change my a/c unit and could talk with a person, they said cant give the credit because it was their technician who should come. Its so frustrating. This is not legal its a horrible Co , this is not a third world country pleaseAmerican Water Resources, LLC

******** customer service other than *******. She couldn't get her own company to get on the line with her to help us. We have a true leak emergency, and no one is responding. We have a claim number and still no one is reaching out. We are leaking 6-7 gallons of water an hour......EMERGENCY!!!!! I will be cancelling this insurance immediately! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
