I filed my initial complaint under case# ********, which was closed without me being notified. The last email I received was from the express lanes asking for my tag number and transponder information. That was on the 21st of May and I responded on the 24th. After that I received no emails or response. My complaint is that I’ve been an EZ pass customer since 2019. I started receiving toll violations some where between 2020/21. The initial letter stated to pay the balance using their website and setup text alerts if your account goes negative. I did both. I’ve been paying my tolls and my account is active and up to date. Some how I kept receiving toll violations in the mail. I thought they would catch up with the payments but now it looks as if the violation have been assigned countless admin fees and still showing as unpaid. I made an appointment at the DMV to see if there was something I was missing and the rep told me that my account was up to date. I asked why am I still receiving these violations w/ admin fees. She told me all I could do was reach out by phone to the company. When I called the 1-800 number I was informed that ez pass is separate from the actual toll lane company and that they would be will to settle with me for a reduced payment. I asked why would I pay a reduced settlement if I am current on all of my toll payments using their billable system which is ez pass? She continued to read from the script that the reps are supposed to use. She gave me no assistance on how to stop this issue. I requested all of my statements from ez pass to show payments and charge history. I believe at this point I will go to court to get everything removed bc there is no way I’m paying for the same charges twice. The toll lane company hired ez pass as their billable system. EZ pass is issuing the charges and collecting the payment. Why aren’t the toll lanes being notified of payment? I’ve done all I can at this point.

I have a SunPass account to automatically pay for tolls. My SunPass account has been funded and active for 3 years. On May 11,2024 my vehicle went through the liscense plate reader multiple times. Multiple times my SunPass account was deducted.Suddenly I received a bill from ez pass to pay these tolls or else my vehicle registration would be suspended- to cause extensive duress and an incident of blackmail for me to give easy pass money or to open up an ez Account and pay them half the amount of what they say that I owe.Ive made multiple phone calls to both SunPass and to easy pass. SunPass has confirmed that my account was active open and that there was fully funded and funds available to pay for these two that passes that I owe. I requested that easy pass submit the bill on over to SunPass because these toll toll roads do accept SunPass as a method of payment. Easy pass is refusing Off to pay reduce fees if I open up an account which is essentially a blackmail type of thing and wait for them to read direct in a marketing scheme as I see it they want me to close my SunPass account and open up an account with easy pass rather than me maintaining my account with SunPass, which is fine. I believe that this marketing game is illegal. To fake claims that people find toes were not passed or didnt have the ability to pay for it when the accounts were active open, and if easy pass had gone and sent the information to SunPass the account wouldve been paid, but it has not. I received the second bill with the threat to suspend my registration if this does not get paid. I physically went down to SunPass and I got easy pass on the phone and some pass once again verified that my account was fully functioning fully operational on May 11, 2024, Theres a contract agreement between myself and SunPass that for me to use this that I can use the easy pass and that they would Bill ******** And thats a contractual agreement that passes violating is violating.

I believe E-ZPassnj is double charging me. I have an E-ZPass and if I don’t have enough funds it shows the amount and how much. I replenish my account for the negative amount and more for future charges. They continue to send me a $50 fee for not having the funds on my account but have take. The toll funds that was in negative from my replenish funds. If I paid the tolls I didn’t have funds for why do I have to pay a $50 each time. Why am I being charged after I added funds but in their system it shows different

Toll Violation disputes are written on all violations sent and on the website that if you are a customer, you can skip the ridiculous 50$ administration fee for the toll. Turns out that hidden nowhere there is a limit to how many of those disputes you get. The person on the phone stated that the dispute for a customer was more of a courtesy even though it is all all the paperwork they send, there is no * there is no X amount given per year which makes this entirely REALLY shady. You apparently get 12 disputes per year even though that is not listed anywhere and the person on the phone didn't want to tell me. I don't understand how EZpass functions when it's basically extortion everytime you miss a toll you get a 50$ fee on a 1-10$ toll.

Defendant is attempting to collect erroneous debt that was fictitious lyk created by their faulty equipment and transponders. All outstanding toll violations have been accepted and paid in full, yet they insist I owe over $3000 in so called “administrative fees” for which they cannot justify or provide me with an itemized description of these charges. I requested verification of debt and itemization multiple times and was not provided this information. By accepting payment of tolls this company agreed to satisfy any outstanding debt. I hereby demand this balance be removed from my account and action be taken against this company for their unfair business practices.

NOW EZ PASS RAISED THIS TO $155. A MONTH OR SO FROM RAISING TO $100 HOW IS THIS OK? THIS IS THEFT! UNLAWFULL!EZ PASS CAN HOLD ONTO HUNDREDS OF MY DOLLARS AND EARN INTEREST ON THEM? IT IS UNLAWFUL TO JUST UP A THRESHOLD WITH OUT PROPER WRITTEN NOTIFICATION EXPLAING WHY,EVEN IF I USE IT SO OFTEN, THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON WHATSOEVER THE REPLINISHMENT CANT GO OFF MORE FREQUENTLY IF NEEDED RATHER THEN LESS OFTEN FOR A HIGHER AMOUNT. THIS IS THE MOST PATHETIC POLICY OF NJ EZPASS AND NEEDS TO BE RECTIFIED OR I WILL OBTAIN AN ATTORNEY.UNLAWFULLY STEALING MY FUNDS TO BE ABLE TO PROFIT FROM THEM WITH INTEREST.DOING THIS TO MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. On 19Jun2024 we received a letter via mail for a demand for payment for 6 toll violations all dated back in 2022. The 6 toll violations were paid for the total actual toll amount and each mailed and dated back to New Jersey EZ-Pass on 08/03/2022. On 08/11/2022, all 6 toll violations checks which were mailed with each corresponding toll violation were processed by EZ-Pass of New Jersey. Now 2 years later a Demand for Payment is being sent with a total of $250 for fees on top of the tolls which were paid.

Hello, I am writing this complaint more than a year later because I was told this was taken care of back in 2021-2022. I just recently went to renew my registration again in 2024 (MD you must renew every two years) and the same situation is coming up again, but this time ** Pass is claiming they can't do anything about it because the situation is from too long ago. In 2021, ** Pass claims I opened an account and signed up for a commuter pass. I did not do this. I called when they charged me $152 for the commuter pass and stated, I don't use tolls enough in ******** to justify signing up for a commuter pass. The person agreed and saw that I had only used the toll road a few times. They said they were handling it on their end and the fee would be forgiven. Now, in 2024, the fee is still there. I called about it and asked what happened because when I went to renew my registration, there were outstanding ** Pass fees that were never mailed to me. I uncovered a few things:1. They mailed the ** pass tickets to the wrong address, one that has not been used in almost 10 years and doesn't match up with my license or my ** Pass Account. I paid the toll fee over the phone when I called about this in May 2024, and asked them to remove the *** Flag of $30. They refused to do so because they don't feel they made an error with the address. I can assure you they did. 2. The representative let me know I also had an outstanding balance of $152 for the commuter pass in 2021-2022. I let her know this was supposed to be handled then. She said because it's a few years later there is nothing she can do. This is unacceptable. They are trying to steal money from me because of an error they made by not removing the commuter pass when I originally called. I am looking for them to remove the *** flag of $30 and also to remove the commuter pass fee from 2021-2022 of $152.

New Jersey E-Z Pass is trying to charge me for tolls that I paid on site, at the toll, on the *********************On Saturday, June 1st and Saturday, June 8th, I drove down the shore to attend two different relatives birthdays, using the ******************** to travel to and from.I paid both tolls with a mix of both dollar bills and coins as I am not an EZ Pass customer, nor do I own an EZ pass transponder. Both my mother and sister were in the car to help with giving me the money for the toll payments in case I did not have enough change sitting in my car door, which I did. Now, on Monday, June 17th, I receive two notices for toll violations:~ One for Saturday, June 1, 2024 ~ Two for Saturday, June 8, 2024 These violations are false as I physically handed the payment to a live person for at least (2) of those (3) tolls. When I tried to call the number provided on the violation form they sent me, I was on the phone for over an hour with no agent picking up to help me.When I tried to dispute the violation online, the site would not allow me to submit the form without attaching a receipt of payment to the dispute. I have never been given a receipt for paying a toll on the *********************I can provide more information if needed, but I do not plan on paying these BOGUS violations and I would like these violations erased, please.Thank you very much.

EZ Pass sent me to collections for a 6 dollar toll. I tried to resolve the issue by paying the toll (on a vehicle that I have an EZ Pass transponder linked to the license plate). They stated that I owed the $50.00 fine as well because it was beyond the 30 day repayment ***** This happens often with EZ Pass. The transponder is not read properly going thru the toll or the transponder is charged and the license plate is not registered (either because its a new vehicle or a new license plate). I have been a customer since 2005. They charge my account $70.00 on a low balance. They have mischarged my account on other tolls associated with vehicles that I do not own. A $50.00 fee is ridiculous on a $6.00 toll. They treat customers poorly and make us beg to have the fee taken off. Meanwhile they precharge us for tolls and up the amount based on our usage. This money is than deducted from the balance and your card is recharged in advance of your usage. I am sure they make money off of the precharges. It is outrageous that I am in collections over a $6.00 charge and it affected my near perfect credit scoore. There should be a limitation to the percentage fee you can charge on a toll while the balance on my account remains in the positive. In the meantime, I have caught fees that are charged to my account, and there is no apology nor reimbursement for the money spent out of my account with an accrual of interest. Absurd. Unethical. Distasteful.
