** EZ Pass has billed for hundreds of dollars in toll violation that were determined to be false since I do have a ** EZ Pass account. The toll charges were charged to my account but I was billed for hundreds of dollars in administrative fee.Initial Complaint

I closed my EZPASS account and returned the tag in late May. Im still waiting to be reimbursed the money that was in my account when it was closed., approximately $39.00. Ive called (4) times, once each month since May and each time I get different excuse or reason for the delay. Its been almost (4) months.Initial Complaint

First time traveling to Jersey. I would NEVER PURPOSELY DRIVE through a toll without paying. I slowed down at EVERY TOLL looking for an option that said cash/card But EVERY LANE SAID EAZY PASS. I panicked and did not know what to do. I also thought the toll bill gets mailed to house if a person only has cash/debit. I only had my debit card and honestly saw no lane for cash/debit. Now when I call the number to dispute it..it hangs up due to high volume. It's been impossible to get in contact with someone. I'm freaking out because a toll bill that should have been under 15$ is now over 150$ and I honestly can't afford it at all.. I'm a mother to a young boy living paycheck to ******** barely making ends meet so I would never disobey the law. I just really would like to talk to someone to be able to waive AT LeAST some of this huge fee. Pleaseee I really can't afford it.Initial Complaint

Our account keeps on getting revoked. We setup automatic payments to avoid this and then we are not informed that payments are not being done. Instead our account is being revoked and sent to collections for us to pay fines to get it sorted out. It's not the first time. Many times, tolls are paid and yet we still receive violation notices. Hence it makes it very difficult to keep track of what we actually owe. We have requested that our statements and fines be mailed to us to cross check what tolls were not paid so that we can pay for them. We have been waiting for months for those statements to be mailed to us. We requested them a second time and still haven't received them.We are not willing to settle and pay fines AGAIN for their negligence to inform us in a timely manner.I would like this investigated right away.Initial Complaint

Received EzPass ** violation even though we have EzPass (**). Have attempted to contact EzPass **, all of the "Supposed" costumer service lines. The lines literally state that they are not and will not answer phone calls and to go online. We have gone online as submitted disputes, as we have also submitted disputes over the phone. We have received responses starting 1. Disputed not submitted within 50 days (not true, it is still less that 50 days as I type this). 2. License place number and state were not recorded (not true, they are on the account...have been for 7+ years, and also listed correctly on the dispute), not enough money in account (not true, it auto draws money...and we drove through the same toll both a week later with no issues). Bottom line, we are being incorrectly charged a fee and told we must pay it (along with $75 in Admin fees on a total of $24.45 in tolls) but given not ability to dispute, and no ability to speak to a human.Initial Complaint

I helped my family set up EZ Pass in **. The program self adjusts the auto replenish amount based on use. This program adjustment moved from $75 to $250 based on their toll use. There is no way to manually adjust the price and the amount of money they are automatically contributing to themselves from your account seems unfair and an aggressive scheme to ensure they have money in their pockets even though its credited to your account. $250 is not a manageable amount to be automatically removed from many Americans accounts and the fact that there is no option to lower the replenish amount or the threshold at which it is refilling seems to be manipulative and bordering on fraud waste or abuse. This bad business practice should be known and reviewed for possible civil or criminal litigation.Initial Complaint

EZ Pass TWICE sent me violations for tolls I paid in cash and sent me a violation and attempted to fine me. I thought getting an EZ Pass account would forever solve that problem but that's not the case. This company has recently sent me THREE violations for tolls that were all paid and my EZ Pass was right on my windshield as usual and EZ Pass's reader apparently didn't read it. All three were between shore towns in Cape May County. After the 2nd time it happened, the toll collector informed me that if you just went through within the last 10 minutes that it doesn't read it. As an Uber/Lyft driver I was constantly going back and forth between shore towns causing it to not be read. This is OBVIOUSLY EZ Pass's fault and not mine. I've talked to countless other people that told me they've had similar issues with EZ Pass. Now I can't even pay the tolls themselves online without paying the fines, which I'm obviously not gonna do, nor can I get a hold of them on the phone because it says the line is too busy. I want a 100 dollar fine for each bogus "violation" they sent me recently and the 2 from years ago. So EZ Pass needs to compensate me 500 dollars in total for attempting to fine me and wasting my very valuable time. And a message to EZ Pass: You better get your act together! If I have any further problems with your company I will be taking any and all appropriate legal actions. I know for a fact that you are guilty of civil violations, I think there are grounds for filing CRIMINAL charges against you! It is with VERY GOOD REASON that you have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau! Literally the most unethical and criminal business I've ever seen in my entire life. Hello. NJ **Zpass has all my license plates so whenever we go through a toll that doesn't have a live collector when we don't have correct change, they send me a send me a bill with .70 or **** depending on a center toll or off ramp along with a ***** ADMINISTRATIVE fee. I have contacted them a few times and said yes I will pay any tolls that I owe you but a ***** Admin fee on a .70 toll, seriously. They are horrible to speak to, refused to get me in touch with a manager, refuse to knock off the ***** dollar fees, have collections calling my phone, sending me letters. they are still charging that fee until this day, even though I canceled it and took the **ZPass trackers out of the cars. They make it very difficult to pay cash at the toll plazas, they are always shutdown for cash. Now They want ******* about 15***** in admin fees vs the ***** (if that in actual tolls). I am at a loss and this is really weighing in on my well being, threats of license/*** lost over something I haven't any control over. Any help that you can offer me will be greatly appreciated.Thank you.*********************************
