      My name is **** ** I pickup up on 9/27 returned on 10/3 from Phoenix to Chesterfield. I picked up the truck and I noticed the checking engine light was on. The represtative claimed it was for a faulty gascap. I assume the best in people and trusted that. Trusting this company was a huge mistake. The truck over heated twice.The tire popped 3 times because a jagged piece of metal repeatedly ripped holes in THE tire. Roadside kept replacing without actually fixing the problem. I had to sit on the side of a freeway, exhausted, waiting for a repairman 3 different times during a 2 day trip.I spent so long waiting I had to rescheduling the signing on my new house. The stress this caused probably took 10 years off my life and I don't know how I'll be compensated for that.When I finally reached my destination and unloaded my tools, I ran a system check scanner on the truck. Guess what it showed me?! The catalytic converter is showing a permanently stored code, this is a longstanding issue in the vehicle. The gas mileage will be much worse than the advertised or expected amount. I had estimated 500 in gas and spent over 1000 because of your broken equipment eating my gas double time. I attempted to tell the drop off location about issues and requested a complaint number. The rep said there was nothing he could do. So I called customer service who said I was speaking over him. I want you to listen to this call! I am frustrated from this experience and your associate should be able to handle logging a complaint without hanging up on someone. My move with your equipment was such a bad experience it made me question my entire move. I never thought that moving could be more stressful than it is already. Your company has cost me money, I went to auto zone and spent 30 dollars in SLIME to fix your tire myself and had to run my scanner on your truck to see your associate lied to me about the check engine light. I cannot express my disappointment.

      We have reviewed your complaint and Case# XXXXXXXX. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience you have experienced during your rental. Our Escalation Team has considered your request for further negotiation of the original offer made. All material has been reviewed associated with this issue in which we have agreed to increase the compensation offered to $400, which is a little of 35% off your base rate of $1131.00.

      Although we realize you are disappointed in the findings about this matter; Budget believes this refund represents a reasonable resolution to this matter. If you wish to accept this offer please let us know an we'll request this refund back to the card used for the rental.

      I used a debit card for my truck rental and was charged an additional deposit. They initially denied I was charged and I proved I was then they said they kept it because I returned it late, after PROVING I dropped the car off in time and was in a different state for a dental appt the day they said I dropped it off, they still refused to refund me my money.

      steal customer money. I booked cargo van online, but called me not available when I was going to pick up. After a week, Budget Truck fraudulently charged me from credit card. I called them to get my money back right away...

      I am requesting a refund for the amount of $71.41 charged to my debit card ending in ***** When returning the truck rental 2 days in advanced, I had the tank on F. However, driving to the drop off location and stuck in traffic, it wasn't exactly on F. (I have photos but there isn't a place for attachments. Please request them so that I may submit my proof on where this tank was and the charge to my card.) If I could fill the entire tank with $100, why would they charge me $71.41 to fill it up, less than a quarter? They are simply greedy and it's disgusting! As a resolution, I offered to take the truck myself to the nearest gas station to resolve this issue so that the truck may be on F. They denied my request quickly and claimed to have filled it up themselves, all so they could overcharge me and steal my money! I don't believe it costs that much as I could drive the truck for several hours with $100. I am convinced that with $20 more dollars, it would have been full! I was regretful from the start of this business relationship during one of my most vulnerable times in life moving away from my home GA. They gave me so many issues in the beginning by not charging the card used for the reservation I created, trying to charge $300 in late fees because the employee at the PA pickup location wanted to leave prior to closing at 6 pm, not including the 2 dozen furniture pads I paid for (there was only 1 dozen), and now this. From the very beginning this business relationship was sour and all I want now is a refund. I know in my heart, to fill the remainder of the tank which was 85% filled, does not equate to $71.41. Please help me resolve this issue.

      To Whom It May Concern,

      Please see confirmation #XXXXXXXX to show that we booked a truck rental on May 2, 2022 for the dates of July 27 to August 1, 2022. While traveling to Iowa City, IA from Wichita, KS on July 27th we placed a call to the Budget Rental facility and let them know that we would be there in a couple of hours. They informed us that Budget had canceled our reservation. Budget had not notified us in any way that they had canceled our reservation, no email, no phone call, nothing. We proceeded to call your customer service department to resolve this issue since the vehicle was critical to move our daughter in Iowa City from her apartment to a house. We were appalled to hear that no solution could be provided nor was there any record of notification given of this cancellation. This customer service situation was disgraceful and infuriating. Daniel, Agent XXXXX, let us know that they would cover up to $250 if we could find a truck rental company that we could use.

      Despite our displeasure, we proceeded to call viable rental truck companies in the area with no avail. No other option could be found in Iowa. Naturally, we felt like Budget hung us out to dry. I am sure that Agent Daniel knew that it was college move in week and that is why Budget and the other truck rental companies had nothing available.

      Fortunately, we were able to get help by various private citizens through multiple phone calls and several hours of work. We were able to accumulate a truck, trailer, and garages. As payment for their help we gave them all gift cards. Please see the receipt we sent to you for $331 to cover our cost. Given the circumstances described we are requesting full reimbursement.

      You can be assured that the experience you described is certainly not typical of Budget Truck. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience you may have been caused. Budget Truck takes seriously its commitment to have the truck that is reserved available when and where you have reserved it and our teams do their best to match your needs and accommodate your specific request. Our customers control our inventory; sometimes, however, a previous renter's plans change for myriad reasons and that causes a delay in returning the vehicle on time, dropping vehicles off at other locations, accidents and unforeseen mechanical issues and etc. When this occurs, it impacts vehicle availability for others. All vehicle rental companies face these same situation.

      We appreciate your bringing this matter to our attention, and assure you that the responsible manager will be made aware of this unfortunate incident, in order for corrective measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence. Although we realize that we cannot make up for a disappointing experience such as this, we do appreciate your making this report to us.

      We are actively working to improve our service levels, and your feedback has proved to be valuable. At Budget Truck, we strive to deliver a safe, dependable, hassle-free rental, so we are grateful that you brought this important matter to our attention.       Horrible I called customer service to get told they don't know what they could do for me so I asked for a supervisor multiple times I got a call back list I was added to still waiting just to get my money back I got charged for a disgustingly dirty truck ac that definitely needs Freon of 280 dollars and some change just for 1 days use and under 40 miles I will never step into another budget

We are following up aggressively with the senior management for the Port Saint Lucie location to address the issues that you outlined in your complaint.
      We take great pride in supplying its customers with mechanically sound and well-maintained trucks. When the Budget Truck rental locations do not keep the rental trucks properly maintain, we then forward our customer's comments directly to the District Manager that is responsible for the area, and appropriate actions will be taken to prevent any recurrences.

      Therefore, in an effort to demonstrate our apologies for the inconvenience you were caused. I have processed a 20% adjustment to your rental. My credit of $56.77 will post to your visa card ending in 5941 within 5-7 business days. As you had use of the rental vehicle to complete your trip, Budget believes this credit represents a reasonable resolution to this matter. We thank you again for your comments, and we sincerely hope to see you at a Budget counter in the near future.

      I am reaching regarding a series of concerns involving Budget Truck Rental Reservation. My Father and my boyfriend went to the Budget Truck location in Braintree to pick up a 16' foot truck for an out-of-state move. Upon arrival, both communicated that the assigned truck was in terrible condition. Specifically, the inside of the truck was filthy on the driver and passenger sides, with cigarette butts and ash and damage to the driver's windshield. When my Father asked for a new truck, the representative communicated that there were no trucks available, and because she was the only representative available on-site, she could not leave her post to locate another truck. Given the time sensitivity of the move, we proceeded with the reservation. While driving out of Massachusetts on August 15, we noticed the engine light flash on the vehicle and pulled over at a rest stop on the highway out of caution. I contacted customer service and roadside assistance on multiple occasions related to the engine issue - neither parties assisted after being placed on an indefinite hold. When a supervisor was requested for further assistance, the representative stated that she was "on a call that was more important." After truck unloading occurred at my new home, I discovered my belongings compromised by a bug infestation in the back of the vehicle. To be clear, none of my items encountered this issue at the former nor current residence. This situation occurred in a matter of hours after being loaded onto the truck rental. As a result, it took several days to go through each personal item loaded on that 16' truck to sanitize, exterminate, and discard a result of this vehicle's unkempt condition. Once discovered, we notified Budget Truck Customer Service in yet another complaint, to which no acceptable resolution transpired. Moreover, once the truck was returned, the site falsified the return date. I would appreciate a respectfully appropriate and immediate resolution.

      Horrible company! I made a reservation and when I arrived to the location they did not have a truck available. Then attempted to charged me $75 penalty when they didn't provide the truck. I called and they said they couldn't do anything to stop payment but to call when they charged again and ask a manager to refund me. They claimed they cant stop the charge.

      If I could -10, I would immediately. I got a text 2 hours before 5pm the day before I was supposed to pick up a truck I reserved weeks ago that it broke down. I was supposed to pick it up the next day 8am. I had ZERO time because who has a truck 2 hours before closing for Sept 1 - a day where students are all moving. I was left with no other options but to get a SMALLER cargo van for which I was charged MORE for. I was moving from NY to MA, not just to another neighborhood. I will never in my life do business with this atrocious company who has zero empathy, zero common sense, and zero sense of how to run a business let alone provide adequate customer service. I called 3 separate times - first time was when I received the messaged to figure out another truck location. An inventory manager who was supposed to call me, never called. I called back to check and they just kept repeating this is our process. Yet I went through their "process" and still never got a call 6 hours later. I was supposed to receive one within 3 hours. No one called. No one bothered. And customer service was of even LESS help. Take accountability for the fact that YOUR truck broke down and I got a text 2 hours before businesses close. It is wild and baffling that anyone thinks this is okay. What a nightmare, moving already sucks and budget made it 10x more stressful. Not to mention that I still have belongings in NY because the van was too small to carry a 1 bedroom apartment. I didn't even have a couch or a mattress. Awful and I hope anyone and everyone stays far far away. I thought they'd be better than uhaul, jokes on me. Absolutely terrible company.

      Reservations are booked based on our expected availability, however when vehicles are returned back late or returned damaged it can cause us to not have the availability we had expected. In these cases we will try to find a vehicle from another location, if we are not able to we would have to refer you to rent with a competitor. Our records show another vehicle was located and provided for your rental, as the provided vehicle was smaller than the requested vehicle we have discounted your rental by $100.00. Please allow up to 10 business days for this refund to post.

      This doesn't even cover the storage unit we were forced to leave behind because, again, I had *ZERO* choices other than renting this smaller truck. We're STILL dealing with the consequences of your truck being broken down. We still have to go back to NY and rent yet another truck to get the rest of our belongings. I went through your process and waited for an inventory manager to call me within 3 hours, never got that call. This is just a continuation of awful service, zero consideration, and lack of empathy.

      I filled out a commercial account application and was contacted by a representative. They refused to answer any questions about rates and cost. I asked over and over again and did not get a answer. It's almost like she tried to push my business away. I told her I was a new company with a new authority. She said I need to have a account with Amazon or a freight broker before she can give me a quote because she needs to know the exact miles I intend to run. I told her I been in the transportation industry for 10 years and it's impossible to tell you exactly how many miles I will run. I told her I can give her a estimate and she refused the estimate. From the moment she heard my voice I can tell she didn't want my business. I remained professional and tried everything to get her to answer my questions. She was obviously discriminating. I feel bad for the owners and CEO's because I'm sure they don't have a clue that these people are pushing away business. If I'm not mistaken I believe her name was Riley. I called the corporate number and was told to submit another commercial application and that someone will contact me. Terrible experience!!! I believe the representative name was Riley!!!
