TLDR: Worst support in the industry; faulty products that will not get fixed.I spent about 2800 dollars on one of their refrigerators. After about two months it started throwing an E5 (temp sensor) error code with an obnoxious beeping noise. I foolishly ignored it for another month or two, thinking it was a new fridge and since it only went off randomly the problem would go away. After several months it did not go away, but rather got worse, going off a few times per hour. OK, so the fridge has a problem. Called Midea about it, they ask for a bunch of silly info including the error code then ask for pictures of everything for proof; I answered and sent all. They finally send a tech out to look at it. He opens the fridge, confirms it has the error code from the picture (why send a picture?); then proceeds to say they will order a new temp sensor... no other troubleshooting at all. Could you imagine going to a mechanic because your engine temp light was on, they look at the light, then say "ok we will get you a new engine temp gauge? That's not troubleshooting. Eitherway, main complaint is even with that half hearted attempt at fixing the problem, the local tech they sent out to fix it ghosted us after confirming there was an error code and the fridge has still not stopped beeping, to the point its all day long... Go with a reliable brand that has reliable service.Midea America Corp

I purchased 2 of the MRU17F6AWW Freezer/Fridge selectable units fro,m Lowes last year for my garage. They are advertised as garage ready. The one setup as a freezer cools down to -10 F as set. The one setup as a refrigerator is set to 35 degrees F will never cool below about 45 and is often close to 50. I expect ****************** than this when they are capable of cooling to -10 F as a freezer. I opened a service request under warranty. I am being told because it's in the garage it has to be setup as a freezer. This makes no sense. It was sold as garage ready not just for 1/2 of the functions. The garage is not too hot it is winter in ***************** is in 60's someone might have a house the same temp without heat on. Total BS answer. I don't need 2 freezersMidea America Corp

WARNING: DO NOT BUY ANY MIDEA PRODUCT, but specifically Dishwashers. I purchased a dishwasher- worked great for 6 months. One day I tried to turn it on, and it would not. I called customer service and they came out the next day. The person who came out to fix it said it was a known issue and replaced it with no problems. 2 days later, the dishwasher is doing the same thing again. I call them and let them know. They send the same person out who pushes in a corner of the dishwasher and it turns back on. A few days later- it does the same thing, I call them back and am told that they will NO LONGER work on my dishwasher. I ask them why- because it had NEVER BEEN FIXED from the beginning. I was told the service tech (who works for them said the dishwasher was not Installed correctly.)This is surprising because when they came out to fix the part originally, they never said anything. Come to find out, a bracket at the very bottom, which isn't touching the DISHWASHER at all was screwed incorrectly at the wrong angle. This piece HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DISHWASHER AT ALL. It wasnt touching the dishwasher at all. I even told them the bracket had not been replaced after the service rep left the second time. They now refuse to honor their "2 year warranty" (if you can call it that).I had no issues with the dishwasher before their KNOWN DEFECT affected the dishwasher, and the bracket didnt affect it before, and it hasn't worked AT ALL since.I've had this machine for less than 8 months and here are a few of my concerns. 1) they know their latch is defective. They know it and still sell these dishwashers. 2) they offer a warranty, but refuse to take responsibility for their products. 3) DON'T EVER TRUST THEIR TECHNICIANS, as they will look at ways to Void warranties. (Like voiding my refrigerator warranty because my milk wasn't in the dedicated milk space). Just be warned. Look them up online. Complaints on known issues are EVERYWHERE. Id give this company negative stars if possible, my washing machine that just turned 2 years old started leaking really badly about 2 weeks ago out of the blue and Midea customer service pawned me off to different technicians. A technician came out and said that our drum is corroded at the bottom and that our washing machine is aging like a ***** year old washing machine! I contacted Midea and provided them with our lifetime drum warranty, the statement from the technician, and photos of the corroded drum. Its been a constant battle of lies from Midea since then, they sent us a part free of charge and said they wouldnt be replacing the drum, that once again, has a lifetime warranty because they determined it was not actually the drum. However, the customer service ***** let us know that the notes do indeed say that our drum IS corroded. We called at the beginning of last week and spoke with a supervisor that told us shed look further into the matter and give us a call by the end of the night and if not shed call within 24 hours and she never called back..not a huge surprise. Were stuck with a broken washing machine and having to use our neighbors which is an inconvenience for us AND them..not to mention the water from the washing machine messed our floors up as well. Id NEVER recommend Midea to anyone, EVER and the fact that they lie and treat military members this way and according to the reviews, everyone else, is HORRENDOUS and proves that theyre just a money hungry corporation that cant back their own products.Midea America Corp

DO NOT BUY! They misrepresent the "Garage Ready" fridge on Lowes website. ******* will not even get to 20 degrees in a 50 degree garage. Had Midea contracted technician look at and was told I should move this garage ready fridge inside. Lowes will not accept it back after 48 hours and Midea will not issue a return ticket after 5 days of ownership. Now out $$ with a worthless applianceMidea America Corp

HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!!we purchased a midea refrigerator model # MRF29D6AST. From Lowes in ******, ** it was delivered on Jan 15, ****. The ice maker in the refrigerator compartment has NOT WORKED since we purchased it . We've reached out to Midea customer service on 8 different occasions each time we got a rude obnoxious person that gives us the run around.. Today I finally got to speak with the supervisor "****" she said that we never sent a copy of the serial number ( which is a lie in fact We've sent pictures of the serial number, sales receipt, model number and claim number 5 times)**** claims that is she is the final person to talk to and she is of no help.. IT APPEARS THAT WE ARE GETTING RAILROADED WITH THIS PURCHASE ..Midea America Corp

My washing machine( that I spent almost $1000 for) broke in less than a year. It has been h*** trying to get the company to come out and help me through the Midea customer service one year warranty plan. The customer service agents have been rude and have lied to me on several occasions. Its been almost 2 weeks and I still have not had my washing machine fixed. I completely regret buying this washing machine, and I certainly will never buy a Midea product ever again.Midea America Corp

TL;DR Midea customer service is terrible and will never communicate with you.I bought a garage ready convertible upright fridge/freezer in November 2023. A few days after receiving it I called Midea customer service because in fridge mode it was consistently 42F when I had it set to 37F. **************** said a service tech would call me to schedule the repair. After hearing nothing I called back in December and was told my ticket and repair was cancelled because the customer service person did not ask me the full troubleshooting questions(I was not contacted in any way to be informed of this). The person I was speaking to then went through the troubleshooting questions and told me the service tech would be in touch in the next 2-3 business days and gave me their contact info. After another week passed I called the service tech and they informed me the repair "call" was cancelled and I'd have to call Midea(once again no communication from Midea). I called Midea again and was informed it was cancelled because the unit I bought is not garage ready in fridge mode, only freezer mode is garage ready(which is not stated anywhere, I checked the manual, Lowes and Midea's websites). I was told to put the unit in freezer mode, wait 24 hours, and check the issue. I then emptied the unit and put it in freezer mode(0F) and checked it a few days later and it was 5F. I called Midea again and gave them the info, the person could not get an answer from their team and said they would call back when they had an answer. No call back and I called again in January, we ran through all the previous communications and was told I needed to open a new ticket and since I had my unit back in fridge mode in the garage Midea would do nothing even though I went through all the other communications. Overall, Midea customer service is atrocious and I would not recommend them.Midea America Corp

I have the **Shaped window AC in our *** apartment and it is fantastic. It's so quiet and works really well. We also have a Midea dishwasher that works just as well as our ******** Overall, I think you can't tell the difference between the quality of a GE, Midea or a ******* Product..... except that Midea is FAR quieter in every instance.Midea America Corp

DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS OFF BRAND!!! I purchased a brand new refrigerator (stickers still on it) that had minor cosmetic damage. The unit was being discounted as a ding and dent. Midea offers a one year warranty. We got it home and it does not work. Called Midea customer service 14 days ago and I am still without a refrigerator!!!! A technician came out and discovered the electrical harness is not working properly. Now as we head into Christmas, they have informed me that they will mail me the part but will not pay for installation TO REPLACE THEIR BROKEN PART!!!! Unbelievable!! Never never give your money to this company that does NOT stand behind their products or care about their customers!!Midea America Corp
