I bought a dishwasher ($641) on 5/10/23. Less than 4 months the door latch broke. I have been dealing with this 2 weeks now and they are telling me they havent received the proper paperwork. Ive sent it 5 times. Today I sent it by certified mail. Well see what happens. Very dissatisfied with them. Wont buy from them again!Midea America Corp

1 starMidea provided a quote I requested for a replacement ceiling fan receiver #FYDC759-A2, as they advised my unit was outside of warranty. Upon reviewing the nameplate in the receiver unit, I noticed the current rating for the ceiling fan motor displays" Max ****** However, the lifetime-warranty motor on the ceiling fan has a nameplate that clearly states the motor is rated "0.8A". (Model #FC140-BJRL-ORB).I have inquired several times Midea to explain why they use a ceiling fan receiver #FYDC759-A2 that is not sufficiently rated to handle the amperage of the motor on the ceiling fan unit. They have avoided answering my question multiple times. At this time, I just would like to see an explanation from Midea, as this seems to be a fire hazard due to overheating controllers, that are not rated properly to handle the motor current.Review fromPeter G

I should have come here when shopping to get a preview of what I was in for. Unreliable products and terrible customer service.My ********************** Cube Dehumidifier dropped dead after limited usage just a couple months out of the one-year warranty.Their customer service sounded like they enjoyed not caring and being unwilling to help.If you want unreliable cheaply built trash, this is your company. And if you make the mistake of buying said trash, expect unsympathetic and useless customer service.Something tells me their standard response here to everyone of "After review, we do see that our support team has been able to resolve your case." is a lie.The 1.1 out of 5 is well deserved.Midea America Corp

We purchased a top load washing machine less than 2 years ago. Before a years time was up, the hinge on the door broke, disallowing us to use it. It took months, but they finally replaced it with the same model. It has not been 1 year, 1 month and 10 days, and the exact same hinge has again broke. Obviously, this is a substandard design. Yet we got the same experience as so many, with the stating it is out of warranty (barely). We are stuck babying this along, until it breaks to the point of not being able to use it. The company out sources their customer service (difficult English communication), they make less than durable equipment, and they surely do not care about their customers. We will never purchase from this company again. May this information save someone from the same financial loss and headache, we have experienced.Midea America Corp

We recently purchased a refrigerator from Midea and the door would not close properly (the refrigerator was level) so we contacted them. We paid the company extra to have it installed. First they wanted the serial number, meaning we had to go to the trouble of unscrewing the bottom screws and pulling it out to find the number. When we sent that information to them they gave us a list of questions to answer, like asking us if the gasket was working properly. After answering the questions they wanted a picture of the refrigerator so we sent that. Finally, today we got an email saying that they were not responsible for the installation and we should contact the installer. We are both extremely frustrated by the lack of customer service.Midea America Corp

Midea does not offer installation, so this installation would have been offered through the retailer you made your purchase from. A manufacturer's warranty will cover any issue due to a manufacturer's defect, but does not cover issues due to improper/incorrect installation. The installer should have confirmed your unit is functioning correctly at the time of installation. If you contact your retailer, they can help arrange having the installer service the unit. I purchased a portable Midea A/C . The unit is malfunctioning. I contacted Midea via Chat as well as over the phone. In short, the company is trying to waste time to honor its warranty obligation. I paid over $500 for a unit which is dead less than 40 days after purchase . I am waiting for the appropriate response to credit me , and am waiting for a "upto 2 weeks as per their correspondence" for a resolution. On the other hand , I have a family member, with a terminal health issue in discomfort. If only I had known, Midea doesn't care for my business.Midea America Corp

Im sure there are enough complaints against this company for a class action lawsuit. After reading these reviews Im appalled this brand/company is still operating. I purchased a fridge less than a year ago from Lowes and that ****** broke over a month ago. we have been patient waiting for Midea to send someone out to repair only to find out the entire control panel was out. Instead of Midea having the fridge repaired they promised us a new fridge and would place the order. we had to call back 4 days later only to be told the request was never submitted due to system outage. At this point its been 3 weeks so we call again and they pushed the order through for an exchange pick up and drop off by Lowes. We were told to contact ***** to schedule the exchange only to be told by ***** that they do not do that. We paid $2500 for this fridge less than a year ago. This brand is the absolute worst and I will make sure that no one makes the same mistake I did. They produce terrible appliances and provide no support or service to remedy for it.Midea America Corp

I purchased a Midea Cube dehumidifier about a year ago, and up until recently, it was functioning well. However, when the device malfunctioned, I came face-to-face with Midea's customer service, and I have been left extremely disappointed.After contacting the company and providing documentation, I was told that my exchange request was approved and that I would receive a form to proceed with the exchange within ***** minutes. This form never arrived. I patiently waited a day and called again, only to be told that I would have to wait another ***** hours. Despite my patience and the wait, the form never showed up in my email.In my follow-up call after two days, not only did I not get a solution, but the representative's attitude was dismissive. She didnt seem interested in helping or even providing a reasonable explanation. When I requested to speak to a manager in hopes of more information and better communication, I was placed on hold and then abruptly disconnected.It's now been ************************************** communication from Midea. I found myself compelled to buy another dehumidifier (from a different brand) because I cannot trust Midea to honor their warranty or even follow through with simple customer service requests.I genuinely hope no other customer has to experience what I went through. Its unfortunate, not just that the product failed within a year, but that Midea's customer service seems indifferent to customers' genuine concerns and issues.Midea America Corp

The absolute worst customer service and product. Front loader washing machine purchased Jan 2023. 2 service calls since. Now they have to replace the whole unit. No one calls to inform of progress of claim. Will never purchase another Midea product. If I could rate it as a zero I would.Midea America Corp

If I could give zero stars I would. My 6 month old dishwasher is getting an error message. Called in rep told me to send in the proof of purchase and they would follow up with me by phone no one did for a week. I called they told me they were waiting for more info (from who?) - I emailed everything I was told to and was told once the reviewed my information they would call back - again no one did for a week. They were waiting for info I was never told to provide when I called they told me I needed this info I told them it was on the proof of purchase and was never informed they closed my case when they didnt get the info they never asked me for (they wanted Serial number which was already on the proof of purchase). I asked them to expedite my request as they were giving me the run around and closed my case when there was no reason. The rep ******* transfer to a supervisor flat out told me no. I asked 3 times before she would transfer me and told me the supervisor couldnt rush my claim. When I finally got the supervisor she basically told me the rep lied and she would rush it to the correct department and they would reach out to me later that day. I gave it more then 24 hours and no call. I called today and the new sup visor told me he had no supervisor and he ******* transfer me to the rep working my case. I told him we could wait together since they dont value my time he could wait with me - he said he had to get back to helping customers - I told him Im a customer and he still hasnt helped me. He said he would have them call me (how could I believe him Ive been told by this company by 3 different rep they would call but they dont). Im so tired of being given the run around. Now I am waiting for them to call me back.again.Midea America Corp
