I receive daily calls on my cell phone from Momentum despite being on the National Do Not Call Registry. I block the number and they call from a different number. I currently have 16 blocked numbers from Momentum. They continue to violate the law. There is currently a class action lawsuit filed against them which I will join if the calls do not stop. This company needs to be heavily fined for each illegal robocall on a daily basis.Business Response

-Momentum Solar installed solar panels and a complete system at my residence ********************************************************************* in 2018. The loan number (paid off now) was through Dividend # L18-**-0040900.-Prior to signing a contract, we were ensured by the momentum salesperson and provided detailed written information on a one-time no-cost removal and replacement of solar panels during the warranty period for a roof replacement if required. -We called months ago to schedule as per the instructions and owner's guide and were informed Momentum no longer does this as part of the purchase. This constitutes a breach of contract and involves deceptive sales techniques with misleading information. -After five calls for assistance and not a single follow-up on the situation, this is our next to last resort to seek a resolution before seeking additional expensive and unnecessary litigation. -Momentum is failing to honor its agreement and has made no effort to respond to emails or phone calls beyond the help desk regarding the situation. - When asked to prove it in the contract, multiple momentum employees have confirmed the homeowners file does not contain a contract at Momentum in the file. -As a cure, we desire to have our panels removed and replaced for a roof replacement this winter. Action now will eliminate other pending costs, potential leakage claims, and litigation. Will anyone answer a call at momentum and make a decision?Business Response

I contracted with this company 3/15/2022. They supposed to complete all paper work so I can collect the money of the electricity the system produce.I got an email from the state to let me know I cant collect for an issue with the design that produces more than approved. However, this was momentum mistake. I tried to contact them to resolve the issue and I am getting no responses.They also didnt give me any copies of our contracts and agreements.I am trying to resolve this issue through BBB before I can hire a lawyer to help me resolve this issue.Please let me know if this something you can help me resolve.Business Response

On 06/06/2022 we met with Momentum Solar representative ***** to receive information about solar system. We told him that we are planning to move and not ready to start the process. He started to explain us about the savings we can get from the deal, contacted his engineering department and showed us how will it look. ***** told us that we could cancel it any time before the installation is done. We agreed and signed contract. On 06/24/2022 we had an inspector to check out the roof. He told that we would be getting respond shortly. No one contacted us after.On 07/19/2022 we called Momentum Solar, and after run around between different people, spoke with *****, the manager, and told him that we would like to cancel the contract. He promised to take care of it.?On 08/22/2022 at 5:24 PM we got an email from *************************** about design overview package, and called her back right away to let her know that we canceled it on 07/19/2022. No one contacted us after.?On 11/17/222 we received a letter via certified mail saying that we were not responsive, stating that they incurred cost for materials, labor. Nothing was delivered and installed. This letter, signed by **************************** , Vice President of Legal Affairs, Momentum Solar, threatening by lien, civil action, or other legal remedy. We signed up for a solar system with battery backup that was supposed to minimally power our HVAC system (heat for winter and AC for summer) along with some other critical power needs. However, it wasn't until after the panels were installed and the battery install was in progress that we were told that the battery bank wasn't powerful enough to handled our AC units.The solar install is pending the inspection process but we won't proceed until a resolution is agreed upon. Starting as early as September 28, 2022, we reached out to Momentum several times asking for an agreeable solution. However, they have not responded with a proposed path forward. If Momentum wasn't going to design a solution that would meet our needs, we wouldn't have proceeded with the purchase. Now, we are in a state where they installed equipment that doesn't meet our needs and has put holes in our roof and the side of our house. The solution is not even in a functional state at this point in time.Business Response

My solar system has not operated correctly for more than 3 months. The problem began in July; however, I didn't notice the problem until August, which is the month I began reporting the issues I had discovered.At first, Momentum Solar informed me that I had to perform a firmware update. I received the instructions from the company, but I discovered that wasn't the problem because my system was completely off. I called the company back to schedule a technician repair, for which I paid $450. The technician came and was able to turn the system back on, and informed me that the system update would take a few days.A few days went by and the system didn't update. A couple of weeks later, I called the company back because my system was still inoperable. By now I was paying for equipment that is unusable, and at the same time, paying the electric company for electricity that should be produced by the solar panels. A technician came again and informed me that he was unable to access the system update details, because those were details reserved to the engineering teams in **********. It has been a constant back-and-forth with the company, and 3 months later, still no resolution.At another date, a technician showed up, didn't knock or ring the bell, and left my property without a simple courtesy. I've had to call the company numerous times and open numerous ticket numbers. Yet, no repairs have been made.I've asked Customer Service to escalate the issue, but every time I'm faced with deflection that the Regional teams are responsive and will address the problem. I would like the company to repair my system as soon as possible, or take the system down and refund my money, because it's ludicrous for me to be paying for equipment that doesn't work while at the same time, having to go through these channels to obtain transparency from Momentum SolarBusiness Response

I signed with njcleanenergy, and chose momentum as my solar company. From the beginning, I was promised free one time removal of panels for reroofing my house, which I will need to do soon. They agreed, but did not put in writing, when questioned, they reassured me that it would be fine. They offered me cash incentives, but would not put in writing. At the day of installation, the workers informed me that they could not put all my panels up, due to firewall, and the conduent, that should have run up and into my attic, couldn't, because my attic is finished, so, around 200ft would run across the side between the first and second floors, then up and over my roof. Unsightly, devalue my home, and potentially a fire hazard. A salesman attempted to convince me to install, with money offered, I declined, he said that I would be sued for breech of contract, yet they couldn't complete the work as they said they wouldBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have talked with ******; it is not true that he has not been able to reach me. He continues to pressure me to install the panels, offering me money incentives, telling me that I can take a vacation with the money, but, if I do not accept the offer, he has threatened me with breach of contract. I told him that I had not been able to confer with a lawyer, that I needed more time to find someone to help me. The call was disconnected, I attempted twice to call him back, and left a message. Eventually he did call me, much later, I did not accept the call. I wish to be done with this company, I find them deceitful and manipulative. They are in breach of contract by changing the original plans, without notifying me. The loss of panels means a reduction in productivity, which was not great to begin with, and the placement of the conduit across the side of my home, not only bring a surprise to me, would be unsightly, and unacceptable, compounded by the loss of productivity. I feel that the company is continuing to manipulate me, using scare tactics, and making false promises, and that, if I move forward with them, I will spend more money than save money.

Momentum Solar continually calls me after I have registered my number on the do not call list. They call me several times a day including after 5pm and weekends. I have requested they stop calling and have blocked a few of their numbers but they are constantly changing the last few digits.Business Response

Both Momentum and the Financier spoke with Ms. ****** in regards to her concern of not signing her contract. Both times she advised she actually did sign and did decide to proceed with the project. She was fully aware of the amount and size system she wanted and chose to continue forward with her project. She advised on a recorded line she willingly signed and was not coerced into signing and wants movement in her project. She is scheduled to complete service on her property in January as per her request so we can quickly get her activated. We also provide a proposal presentation prior to having any homeowner sign a contract which shows the system design and price, in which Ms. ****** agreed to prior to signing.
