THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!We got scammed by this company. The offer that the seller presented to us after reviewing the account statements of the electricity company that we have (SECO), let us know that our consumption was an estimated ****** kWh and he was going to install panels that would cover ****** kWh. Giving us something extra to cover any changes we had, so we accepted the offer he offered us. After the installation, we noticed that the panels were not covering anything or almost nothing of our consumption. we made several calls to address this situation The last conversation we had was that we had to wait about a year to see the benefits, which we did, we have waited a long time enough and the situation has remained the same or worse since we are paying the bill for electricity which is equal to what we consumed before the panels plus the cost of the panels causing a deficit in our budget, we contacted SECO, our electricity company, and they told us that the consumption we had before installing the panels was around ****** kWh, which was never ****** what the seller sold us. We have been trying to correct the issue with Momentum Solar and they only said that we have to pay for more panels, even that they made the error.Be very careful. Once you sign with them you are screwed!!!!Momentum Solar

I really hope this company goes belly up. I have never been deceived more by a sales representative in my entire life, as I have with this company. All of the important information given by the representative has turned out to be lies or misleading. This is the second time I am writing about this company and I will continue to try and warn people of the lies that they decieve consumers with. Here are the items I was deceived about:1. I was told by the sales person that I would not need to hold additional insurance on my homeowners policy since my solar system would not be large enough to require it. That was a lie and I had to carry an additional $1 million in liability. 2. I was told my system would be installed and running within 1 month and it took 6 months. They began charging me for the system before it was even producing energy.3. I was told there would not be any out of pocket expenses but I was told by my electric company that I needed to pay to have the net metering device installed. 4. I was told that the whole incentive payment(tax credit)can be used to put toward the cost of the system or i could chose to keep it and use it as I wished. The sales man even went as far to tell me a story about a customer that used the credit to take a vacation. He told me that if I use the credit to pay towards the solar system, my monthly bill would remain the same. If I chose to keep the credit and not pay it towards the system, my monthly bill would go up depending on how much I decide to keep and that I had 1 year to decide how I would like to use the incentive payment. I found out when I filed my taxes that this is a tactic these companies use. The sales person was not only misleading but lied directly about the tax credit. There is no way to apply the credit towards the cost like he said and now I am stuck with a payment that went up an additional $200 per month. I will make it my lifes mission to expose this company for the liars and cheats they really are.Momentum Solar

I got cold called by them to install solar. The woman on the phone was very nice. She told me that they had someone out our way tomorrow reviewing solar options, would I be interested in them dropping by. She told me the street and that they were going to that house at Noon, would I be available at 2? I just happen to have the day off tomorrow (Friday). So, she transferred me to the person that books the appointments. He started off very nice too. Then he asked if I was the only owner of the house. Well no, my wife is on the deed too. That's when he started insisting that my wife HAD to be there too. Well, my wife works during the day. So he wanted to reschedule the appointment. I really don't feel like going over solar in the dark where he wouldn't be able to really see the roof. My wife was going out of town for the next week. He wouldn't schedule an appointment without her so I said "No thanks"Over the past 12 years, I have had at least 5 different companies come out to give us estimates on solar. Nobody has EVER required both of us to be there. Seems very shady to me.Momentum Solar

Don't trust what the salesperson tells you. Do your own research on how the tax credit works and what is the actual amount you can get due to Tax Liability Limit.Prior to installation when salesperson explained about tax credit, they tell you that you will be getting full 30% of what you paid for the solar panels when you file your taxes. They talk like you are guaranteed to get that full 30% for you to pay back to your loan in order to keep the interest at current rate. False information. You do not get full 30% and it is based on your tax situation. This company needs to train their salesperson, so they don't provide false information to customers. I feel like I got scammed into something I would never would have purchased if they did not talk like I am guaranteed to get that 30% tax return. Here are how these salespeople gets you,-getting that 30% when you file your tax will bring the cost down.-if purchased with loan, just need to pay that 30% to your loan and your interest rate will remain the same -electrical cost will increase over the years -your home value increases.-basically, you are not paying anything extra compared to your normal electrical bill. Not really worth your time and money. Salesperson never fully described about how the 30% tax credit works and talked like it was guaranteed full amount which I just need to file a tax for. It does not work that way and full 30% is not guaranteed. So overall saving like salesperson mentioned is not true. Don't let salesperson make you sign up without you doing your own research about every information. I also live in the well-lit area with direct sunlight most of the day. After comparing the bills over a year, there is not much of saving with installing solar panels like salesperson mentions. In my situation, my electricity cost would have been cheaper without solar panels. Now, I have to pay extra out of my pocket. Thanks to no details.Momentum Solar

Momentum failed to explain the Federal Tax Credit. ******* made sure to highlight the 30% tax credit and that I would just simply apply that to the loan to keep the low monthly payment. They did not mention that the credit only goes against your tax liability. So you don't get a refund for the remainder of the tax credit to pay back to them. You are left with paying the amount equal to your tax credit back to them out of pocket or you get a higher payment. So they essentially force you into a higher monthly payment through deception. They are dishonest and predatory.Momentum Solar

Liars and rude people. I scheduled an appointment with them to come down to my house. They were to call to confirm. They never called to confirm nor did they show up to the appointment. They could not provide an explanation as to their failure to confirm and to come. When I tried to reschedule, they insisted that my spouse be present. I had already explained to them previously that I would be the only person as my spouse is out working during normal business hours and I did not want a meeting over the weekend or in the evening. So I canceled them. Now I am happy to see that others are dissatisfied with them and it is a BLESSING that our meeting is not happening. Good riddance!Momentum Solar

Dont ever let these people into your home or further more put solar panels on your roof. My solar panels were installed on October 27 and it is not February 27th , exactly 4 months to the day and they are not energized. Customer Service is nonexistent and when they do answer they lie and say someone will call you back. Ive never received a call back. It has been me that always has to call and follow up. This is usually after a weeks time as well. They blame a host of things on everyone else but still have no excuse on how disgustingly bad their customer service is. Momentum solar know that as soon as the panels are up you are locked in then you are forget by them. Don't fall into the trap, try Sunrun or any other company at least first. I wish I could give this place negative stars.Momentum Solar
