I can't believe they still have an A+ rating. If you are thinking of solar, please do your homework. Momentum is the worst in customer service and most dysfunctional **mpany I have ever dealt with. We had panels installed in 2020 and the sales rep dismissed my **ncerns regarding the number of panels I wanted and we were sold a certain amount based on our power bills. As I expected, he was wrong and we have been paying an unreasonable amount to our power **. It took over 3 years to finally get the additional panels, because the 5 appointments we had scheduled resulted in no shows and an email to the **mpany president went unanswered. We were finally able to get some service, because the rep didn't need to **me to our house. After several months of paperwork, we finally had more panels installed in Jan '24. After a **uple more months of calls regarding why they weren't on and producing power, only to be told that they were waiting for the final inspection before they can be turned on, I called the inspection office. To my astonishment, I was informed that the permit request had just recently been submitted and approved the day before I called, so you guessed it, the panels were installed without a permit. The inspection has been done and cleared, because of my effort, but now I am being told that they won't turn them on until we submit our insurance declaration and a questionnaire regarding **verage. We are now **nsidered a 2 tier system and the power ** requires a certain amount of **verage. This **uld have been avoided if we had been allowed to buy the panels we wanted back in 2020. I addressed my **ncerns with the rep before they were added and was given information that led me to believe it wasn't going to be a problem. If this ends up **sting me more in insurance **sts, I am going to have to take some kind of legal action. Which will just take more time and effort with the **mpany than I want to put forth. This is absolutely absurd and I'm so disappointed.Momentum Solar

I really wish I could leave zero stars. Solar panels are a huge waste of money and provide very little return. Our salesman did a great job of telling us, "I can't tell you you'll save this much, but you will barely have an electric bill." **** three years in, and I can't say the panels justify the small amount we get in credits. Also, when it came time to replace our roof, Momentum never followed through with their contractual statement of one free removal. I called multiple times to follow up with my initial request and NEVER received a call back. Fortunately, our insurance paid for it, but the roofing company absorbed the extra costs. We fully regret buying solar, especially with Momentum and make it known to everyone who asks.Momentum Solar

Terrible experience! Their **** ******* brushed off major issues as oversights and left me with a mismatched roof after a year of inspections. Now, Im stuck footing the bill for a new roof or canceling the project while they still collect government funds. Avoid at all costs!Momentum Solar

Horrible service, horrible company. We now have the bank investigating our claims and request to remove the panels as solar momentum lied to us in multiple levels. The first lie told was that if we have were unhappy with the solar panels, if there was a lack of professionalism, or if there were damages to our home that they would remove the panels. Within 10 minutes of installation the professional workers hit the fiber line to our WiFi system. We live in a home where the WiFi is wired through the walls and this was information constantly reported to momentum prior to installation. They lied and told us that they are aware and that they will not make any damages when installing. Days later after installation we still were without WiFi and a contractor had to come out as a regular technician with Summit Broadband could not fix the damages solar momentum did. A week after installation more problems became apparent as none of our electrical outlets outside of our home work and are neighbors outdoor outlets do not work either. When we called momentum with our complaints and asked them to remove the panels they told us they could not as the bank IGF is the only ones with the authority to remove them. Called IGF and they told us that they have to investigate our claims to remove the panels as we did not reach out to them prior to the 7 day grace ******* Which by the way the sales associate never said there was a grace ******* So now Im making this customer review/complaint as my boyfriend and I want this nightmare to end. We want them to remove the panels and pay for the damages they have done to our home. We do not recommend this company to anyone as we just found out that our electric company hasnt even received an application for the solar panels from their company. We also still have not received the contract. Please if you can help us resolve this as we are dealing with false advertisement, lack of professional, and borderline fraud/scam from solar momentum.Momentum Solar

If I could give negative stars I would. Received a call on Tuesday morning, agreed to an appointment on Saturday. 3 hours later, I received another sales call from the same company and phone number. at that time stated i had already spoken with someone and agreed to an appointment on Saturday. 2 hours later, I received a 3rd sales call from same company and number by this time I had absolutely had it, told them to cancel my Saturday appointment as apparently they could not take YES for an answer. Needless to say, Saturday afternoon came around and the person that showed up at the door looked very unprofessional, no badge, no uniform etc. When my husband told him that we had cancelled the appointment as they messed up by harassing me with calls, salesperson refused to leave from front door. I had to threaten to call the police to get him to leave front entry, he proceeded to stand at end of driveway on phone with arms flailing for another 10 minutes. Finally got in his car and drove away. There was absolutely no way I was letting a salesperson that looked like him into my home for fear he was casing the place.Momentum Solar

The Momentum solar rep as nice. I had solar panels at my old address..I had to pay nothing for the panels. I now found out I have to pay 2 bills I had to give him a check for $4000 asked if I could give him more now I have to pay 2 bills one to the bank and one to solar company. The advertisement said 0 cost now I found out I have 2 payments . The solar company said that s how it goes I have 2 bills for the electricity I never had only 1 bill from old solar company it would be better in my bill I paid nothing just monthly one bill .. your secretary told me I will have to court because it is a contract Good put me in jail I will have no bills What an un professional secretary you have sincerely yours ******* was ******* he was nice the only nice oneMomentum Solar

The Momentive solar came out in September with an agent. The agent explained about a inspection to be done on the roof. He said, once the inspection is done and the roof is in good condition. then the panels will be placed on the roof. He said the company wouldn't put panels on a bad roof. I was told the roof was in good condition, So the panels were place on the roof. After that two of the room upstairs the ceilings were leaking. I called and was told someone would get back to me. The calls became troublesome. Why, because I was told someone will call back or transfer to a different department which no one answered. I receive a nasty called from someone who claimed he was the President. He told me whoever lives upstairs climbed up and did the damage to the ceilings. The calls on my end became useless i even called them to remove the panels so i can take care of my roof. I was told they cannot do that. So, I called PSEG service asked them not to turn on the service. Of, course I had to write and send emails showing my attempts to resolve this issue.Momentum Solar

I cannot recommend strongly enough that you avoid Momentum Solar at all costs. The first time we met with them an otherwise productive appointment ended with a hard sell pressure tactic to sign today. The manager insisted we sign the deal and if we found a better deal, he promised to give us $1000 and let us out of the deal.A follow up appointment end up in a legitimate argument in which the representative raised his voice with me, telling me I was making a mistake by considering a small, family-owned local firm. His reasoning was that they would go out of business or owner might die and then I would have no one to turn to if I had a problem. Today, three weeks later, I received another follow up call. I asked to be removed from their system and to never be called again. They asked one last time if I was sure that I did not want to review their new proposal fresh from engineering. I intended to get solar in Sept 2023. At that point, I expressed I could not get solar until my roof is replaced. They still pushed forward with paperwork to start the project of getting solar by submitting a notice of commencement. They mentioned they had a roofing company connected to their company, in which I attempted to work with. They came back with numerous bids which would eventually mount up to close to $120K for a roof! I told them I was canceling the project. I never heard from the representative or anyone else from the office. Fast forward 5 months later. I was in the process of getting a HELOC and found out they never never submitted the notice of termination. I have literally been trying to contact someone to submit the paperwork to county or to provide me with an affidavit so I could do so. Close to 2 months later, I still have yet to receive any contact from someone in the building and plans department. Every time I call, I have been old **** was the only person who could help me. I have left numerous messages for **** to contact me and still nothing. My HELOC was held up because they wanted me to clear the **** I have expressed this numerous times and still have yet to hear from someone. If I could rate this company a 0, I would. They have **** poor customer service. Their customer service do not have email access and can not send me anything. All they can do is contact certain people via Text messaging. And they are literally just leaving messages, no one ever responds.Momentum Solar
