Ive ordered party supplies and balloons from Party City twice. Two separate times. Both times, items were missing. Things that I needed/wanted for a family members party. *** been told that I would be issued a refund but in order for me to retain proof of refund, a note had to be given to the manager from a handful of employees and customer service reps. I still dont have it. Also, employees, managers, etc., that Ive spoken to have been abrupt and tried to cut me off numerous times after asking me a question, and I was answering. No wonder this company is going downhill. The people they hire arent even qualified to be human.Business Response

I went into party city to make a purchase for some Fun items for st Patricks Day. The music has been questionable before but this time it was fulgur! F you F you throughout the whole song I went out did not make a purchase and just plain used a loud voice saying this music is most offensive. The girl at the. Counter agreed. I said I hope you tell the manager the manager was there and laughed. Im sorry our country is coming to such a state. I was born jn the 60 s I get the thing about change. But this rap which I like often when the words are not fulgur. But perhaps this is what freedom is to you ? I should hope not its not why so many have fought for freedom. This is just trash ! I am canceling order number 719477183-B. I arrived at the store at 12:40pm and called the curbside number on the window. As of 12:58p, my items have not been brought to my car. I called the store and was unable to reach anyone for 5 minutes. So, I called customer service and reached **************************She was able to reach the store who told her they could not bring out my order for another 20 minutes. It is snowing today and my five year is in the car, which is why I requested curbside delivery.I was unable to speak to speak with a manager or remain on hold for one when I requested.Please refund my order immediately. I will call my bank and dispute the charge and file this complaint with the Better Business Bureau.Thank you for your time and I suggest you have better in-store management at Wheaton. The last time I had this issue, customer service gave me my order for free because they are so bad at this store.This is equal to literally stealing from people. February 2nd I purchased 2 balloons and before leaving I asked if I could fill the balloons with money and bring it back to be filled at a later time. Jasmine said that this would be no problem as long as I have my receipt. February 13th I took the balloons back to the store to get them blown up and the customer service was HORRIBLE! I approached the balloon counter, gave the associate my receipt, and asked if she could blow my balloons up. Kelly was the most disrespect sales associate and she should never be in any customer facing position. After paying for the helium she opened the balloons and immediately told me that the balloons will not float because of the money and once she blew them up I could no longer get a refund. I told her that before I left after purchasing them I had gotten an okay from Jasmine, so she could go ahead and blow them up. Both of the balloons floated after being filled and they were bigger than I anticipated. After Kelly blew up the balloons I asked if she could put a weight on them because I didn't want them to fly away when I got outside. She told me that the weights were at the bottom of counter and I will have to stand back in line to purchased the weight because she had no way of ringing me at the balloon counter. At this point I was frustrated because I felt like purchasing a weight should have been discussed in the same conversation when she told me that I had to get in line to pay for the helium. That extra step could have saved me time and been an extra sale for the store. I understand that because of Valentine's Day the associates were overwhelmed because there were only 3 associates working but that is not an excuse for Kelly's rudeness. After getting the balloons in my car one popped because it was overfilled. I was only 10 minutes away from the store but I didn't want to turn around to deal with Kelly's nasty attitude in trying to get another balloon or refund.Business Response

I havent shopped at Party City in over 5 years, yet I have a fraudulent charge of $124.55 and it says Party City BOPIS had to report it to my bank but Im not the only one that had this kind of charge from party city without shooing there.Business Response

We are happy to provide the customer with additional information, if we are able to get further details about the purchase. We will investigate any possible fraudulent charges, and provide information to the customer or credit card company if any suspicious activity is identified.
Kindly find out from the customer - the date of the charge, store location (if they have it on their credit card statement) and the last 4 digits of the card for us to do some additional research.

Party city has online pricing for products only available in the store. When I arrived at the store the clerk stated that they dont honor online pricing. Online had Conversation Heart Balloons for $15 and in store they were double for $29. I was told its a franchised store and they dont use website prices.Business Response

For in-store purchases, we dont have the ************** to adjust the prices or demand that the store match online prices. Our policy has always been that prices may differ between online and in-store depending on availability, stock, location,etc. In this case, this is a franchise store, not a corporate store, which means we have even less authority to ask for customer concessions, its all up to the franchise owner how they want to price items and operate their store.Initial Complaint

Today we had a birthday theme *********************** or Wednesday ****'s. Nothing at all in any stores closely relatable to party needs. Why is current culture themes, never a stock item in your stores? I've gone to stores last 7 years, I have not bought one thing, because it's not available till after the popularity of item has faded. Do you not have a market team that sees what's in and what's out of style? Will this ever change or should I not waste my time and just order amazon? I have 12 kids, average ***** parties a year. But you keep losing my buisness to Dollar Tree because they are more likely to be up to date, and in stock. If it was marvel they give you a year notice of movie in theater. By the time it's on your shelf it's in Walmarts $5 discount DVD pile. Why is this?Business Response

I was double charged. I had a previous complaint with this same issue. The complaint number was #********. They told me several times that the payment of $125.40 was refunded back to me. It has been two weeks and I still have not received a refund. A gentleman by the name of ****** assured me that it was taken care of. I was at Party City in ************ ******** (*************)today (12/30/22) around 3 PM. I waited in line for about 10 minutes to get one Mickey ***** balloon for a special needs child who was with me. It was my turn and the manager said it would be about a 2 hour wait for ONE balloon. Because of the other orders in front of me. Nobody else was behind me, there was already someone working on the orders. There were other helium tanks around that the manager could have used. You are telling me that as a manager you could not provide customer service and blow up 1 balloon for a special needs child who walked out upset because he could not get a balloon right there . I was willing to overpay $20 but the manager turned us away instead of willing to help us. The customer who was in front of me also said it was ridiculous for her not willing to help. What's the point in walking in for something you sell and can't buy. She knew I was looking for a balloon because I asked her if they had a minion balloon. After leaving I called the called store and couldn't get another manager. The so called manager who cannot manage the store uad gray hair and rotten teeth (sorry not being mean but that's her description). I need to know if I go back in that store I can actually buy something. This is not the 1st time this manager has not been willing to help.Business Response
