On November 25th I received a letter in the mail from this company that was very misleading. It is a bill asking our company to pay $289.00 for domain listing which would obviously lead a company to believe they have to pay this amount for them to keep their current website. However upon further inspection, I found that I have already paid my yearly fee to maintain my website hosting through a legitimate company. When I looked into this Domain Networks company, I discovered that they have previous complaints from a different location in New Mexico. I would like it to be brought to the public's attention that this company is scamming American Citizens and they should at least have fair warning about that.Business Response

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out. The letter they received is NOT an invoice but rather an offer to join our online directory and you are not obligated to pay. The letter is part of a marketing campaign for our service. We ARE NOT a domain holder; we maintain a directory of the country's leading websites. The payment of $289 covers a full year of listing in our directory and is 100% optional.
Thank you,

I have been getting harassing invoices for several years from this company. I have never done business with them, I have never sought them out or asked to do business with them, but they keep sending me invoices. I have sent letters and emails, but they always ignore me and pressure me again and again to give them money they have no legal right to and certainly have done nothing to earn. I have had ENOUGH of this harassment and want them to immediately and permanently cease contact with me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
This has nothing to do with the fact that for years I have been telling you to stop contacting and soliciting me. I have called. I have emailed. I have returned mail to sender. And yet, you don't stop. You keep sending me letters and keep me on your marketing list. Obviously, I am NOT interested in your "services" or excuses. The only resolution to my complaint about your harassment is for you to immediately remove my address from your marketing list and to permanently cease any and all contact with me.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the response. I am the new treasurer for our community non-profit civic association. When one of our board members forwarded me Domain Network’s deceptive solicitation designed to look like an invoice, I paid it thinking it was necessary to maintain our organization’s domain name. When we received an invoice from our actual domain server, I reached out to this company via email (I tried calling the number listed on their website but of course no answer as this company is obviously a scammer) stating that I had paid them in error. Surprisingly, I got a response saying that they understood and that they would issue a refund. Two weeks later, nothing. So I wrote back and they said that they had issued the check but had not mailed it out yet and apologies. Two more weeks later, still nothing, more apologies and that they were too busy to mail it out due to a hurricane a couple states away. Three more weeks, still nothing. We will not consider this matter closed until we actually receive and deposit a refund check as it seems they have used this tactic with other victims as I read other folks complaints. When will this company be shut down already?Business Response

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out. As the customer paid us in error, I have issued their refund. We had delays on our end from a hurricane that directly impacted us and expressed this to the customer. We have mailed out their refund and apologize for the delay.

I am rejecting this response because:
Domain Networks have repeatedly stated that they have issued a refund, only to claim distribution issues, then mailing issues later. They have had well over two months to mail a check since they said they would issue a refund. Until we actually receive and deposit said refund, we will not consider this matter closed as empty words so not constitute a resolution.

I want my refund!
This company's deceptive business practices of sending solicitations that appear to be a legitimate invoice needs to be put to a stop!
BBB can access the attached document for the full description of the issue at hand.
I have uploaded the email correspondence between us, and have given them sufficient time to respond. I want my refund of $289 processed immediately, as promised, without further delay.Business Response

I will not consider this case closed until I have actually received the refund payment AND it has cleared the business bank account. Domain Networks has been promising to issue a refund for over a month, but it has yet to be received.
I only accept this resolution based upon that criteria -- the refund payment must be received.

I am part of a student club at a university and this is my first time handling club finances. I thought that this payment was to renew our annual website domain and did not want to lose our website, so I mistakenly paid the $289 amount today (10/18/24). I did not understand what I was actually paying for and am requesting a refund.Business Response

domainnetworks.com sent a scam direct mailer to my wife's business. The mailer is visually designed to look like an invoice for a service that has already been purchased in order to trick people into thinking they owe something to domainnetworks.com when in reality they do not. I bought my wife's domain through GoDaddy and have never interacted with domainnetworks.com before. They are hoping to use the visual design of this mailer to trick less vigilant people into sending payment. It's disgusting and they should be ashamed.
They'll try to respond to this and say it's marketing for a service called "Website domain authority" but it's obvious when you see the mailer that they're trying to trick people.Initial Complaint

Back in May of 2024 I submitted a complaint against Domain Listings. Now I have received the exact same type of SPAM that actually looks like an invoice from Domain Networks. The ********* **** needs for this to stop. This company purposely uses different versions of their name and yet they provide no way to opt-out of receiving their spam. Whatever name they choose to use in the moment, I want them to stop sending their spam disguised as an invoice to our non-profit community center and church. You cannot call them and their DNC link does not work.Initial Complaint

Please be aware of the false advertising of this "bill". My company paid this by mistake thinking this was the annual fee we pay for our website listing. A day after paying, an email was sent requesting a refund. Hopefully this is taken care of quickly.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out. As the customer paid us in error, I have issued a refund to them on the 4th of September 2024.
