1 starFlight 991 from Bloomington to St. Pete/Clearwater.
We had a delay that lasted 17 hours. We were not given any food. Our hotel was not paid for because the "credit" they gave us is NOT ACCEPTED at the hotels. I lost a whole day pay and so did my fiance. My family was kept at this airport until 2 am and then VERY RUDELY told we had to leave because the airport was closing.
I will never use Allegiant again. There is no customer service and when they screw up and treat you like crap they play dumb. They all say there is no cash refund but I know better.
I am going to a lawyer asap to force them to refund the 2nd half of my trip and the hotel stay.
No one wants a voucher for a future trip on an airline that can't get their stuff together and offers basically ZERO customer support.Review fromJim T

1 starJuly 8th 2024 flight out of Bloomington IL to Clearwater FL. Flight was to depart at 8:06pm. Was delayed 3 times, 1 hour every time due to staffing issues at FL. Finally said it would be delayed until 3:46am the next day because they can’t fly back. Had to get another crew to drive in. Was emailed an inconvenience $100 voucher for a future flight (really!!). Restaurant and snack shops are closed. Staff at the airport told 70 plus passengers waiting that a free shuttle bus could take us to get Buffalo Wild Wings and back but we would have to pay to eat…LOL…What a joke!!! They couldn’t even get pizzas ordered for everyone waiting. All we got was bottled water and pop. Was on hold for over 35 minutes for customer service and was told it’s up to the staff at the airport to get pizzas. I asked them and they said sorry. Look at all the bad reviews from BBB on Allegiant before and on time stats before booking. We should’ve before we booked. After sitting here reviewing we can see that they aren’t the best for on time flights. They don’t even rank to be considered on most sites to give on time stats history. If you search hard you can find individual info and it’s terrible. I found average delay times of 120 plus minutes or more. If you have any disabilities or flying with an autistic person I recommend you use another airline with a much better on time stat. If you take the time to do your homework to plan your vacation you can pay a little more and use a reputable airline. First time Allegiant flier and might as well be the last. I can understand if it was weather related and this wasn’t. They should’ve done more to accommodate us at the airport because of their staffing problems sorry isn’t good enough. Again acceptable if it was weather related but it wasn’t. I’m still at the airport with no guarantee we will get a 3:46am flight. Personnel at the local level here at the airport are ok but mediocre leadership culture shows that they need a lot of work. Do your homework!Review fromTamara L

1 starOn June 17th, Allegiant Flight 2387 going from LAX to Springfield, Mo I had safety concerns regarding to pilot standing outside of the cockpit for nearly 30 minutes flirting with one of the flight attendance. The isle was blocked with the drink cart which required passengers to form a line in the back of the plane to use the bathroom.
After 911 passengers are reminded if you see something say something, do something. That is what I did. I took pictures of my safety concern, what if an unruly passenger over took the pilot standing outside the cockpit, this flight has a flight attendant who was sitting in the cock pit that could not fly the plane. I was concerned.
What happened next is still unbelievable. My seat 11D is an aisle seat, the flight attendant came towards me and YELLED to delete the pictures immediately as she walked down the aisle. I shared I have safety concerns with the Pilot standing outside the cockpit, the drink cart blocking an exit, and passengers are unable to use the bathroom.
She again stood over me YELLING it was against the law to take pictures of the pilot since 911? I said never heard that before, where can I find the law. She quickly a grabbed the magazine in my front seat pouch. She could find it but flipped the pages so mad she was ripping the magazine. She said we will hold this whole plane up if I didn’t delete the pictures.
Shortly another flight attended come over and politely showed me a general statement about taking pictures on the plane. It’s not a law, but privacy. I acknowledged that makes sense, I shared that I did t want to hold the plane up and deleted the pictures.
To me, this issue was over. To my surprise when I arrived in Springfield, I was escorted off the plane by two police officers. They said I was in NOT in trouble, I didn’t break the law,. To me, I was bullied by the Allegiant crew and this was humiliating as I have NEVER had any issue with authority.
I am taking United flight hime.Review fromPatrick H

1 starI have flown Allegiant over 50 times on almost every flight there has been something sub-par or completely wrong. Allegiant bends over backward to remind you they are the cheapest flight out there and then works overtime to provide less and take more in fees than all airlines. After this last disaster I have realized they are not cheaper nor do they have good service, they are more expensive than many airlines if you add up the charges. Do yourself a favor and take a normal airline and enjoy yourself, STAY OFF ALLEGIANTReview fromLaurie N

1 starThis airlines had delays in security, would not let me get on the plane. The gate had closed not even one minute, 38 minutes before the plane was supposed to leave. I explained I had a wedding to go to and that this is the only flight that I was actually in the wedding, the people at the gate did not care to contact the pilot and let me on I had been held up in security. They did nothing to me on. I asked them to get me on another flight. They told me I was not eligible for another flight I was out my money. They did nothing to accommodate me. I went to the counter and asked for help. The counter gave me a one 800 number to call someone. This is the worst customer service I have ever had. I will tell everyone I know never to fly allegiant again. I have never experienced anything in such a manner of low customer service no thought or care for anyone else. If there is delays in security, they need to have customer service be able to contact the gates. Do not fly this airlines.Review fromAdrian M

1 starI recently had the unfortunate experience of flying with Allegiant Airlines, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we arrived at the airport, it was clear that this was going to be a disastrous journey. Despite arriving more than two hours early for our flight, there were no staff members at the ticketing counter, and the line was outrageously long, stretching out the door.
In a panic, we tried calling Allegiant's customer care line for assistance, only to be met with rude and hostile customer service representatives who seemed more interested in blaming us for the situation rather than helping. It was abundantly clear that the fault lay squarely with the airline for not having enough staff to handle the volume of passengers.
After what felt like an eternity of waiting, we were finally able to speak with a supervisor named Quinton, who was perhaps the most rude and dismissive person we encountered throughout this ordeal. Despite our pleas for assistance, Quinton callously informed us that the next available flight wouldn't be for another five days, leaving us stranded at the airport with our 5-month-old baby and all of our belongings, including our car seat and stroller, which were already on the plane.
To add insult to injury, Allegiant initially claimed that they had loaner car seats and strollers available to help alleviate our situation. However, when we asked for them, suddenly they had nothing of the sort, leaving us completely helpless and at their mercy.
In summary, our experience with Allegiant Airlines was an absolute nightmare. From the lack of staff at the ticketing counter to the abysmal customer service and the complete disregard for our well-being as passengers, it was by far the worst travel experience we have ever endured. I would strongly advise anyone considering flying with Allegiant to think twice and explore other options, unless they enjoy being treated with disrespect and left stranded at the airport.Review fromValerie W

1 starAllegiant was a horrible airline to fly. We had a direct flight from Cancun to Pittsburgh home but it was a nightmare. They told us they were cleaning plane and that was why it was delayed . Then we found it was maintenance and engine valve issues. Then we get on plane and pilot tells us we’re going to Cincinnati not Pittsburgh. In Cincinnati we stayed at airport for over two hours and then boarded plane finally. But we sat on plane for another hour due to weight balance issues?? I would never recommend this airline! They also told us that none of it was their fault !Review fromSlobodan D

1 starI attempted to purchase a flight and was offered a hotel bundle alongside it. The bundle appeared to be a good deal. It stated clearly that the price included taxes and fees up until the final payment page. However, upon completing the payment, I received an email confirmation stating that resort taxes would be charged on top of the payment upon arrival. I have never encountered such a tax before and could not have anticipated its existence, especially since it was not mentioned during the booking process. I even have screenshots proving that taxes and fees were included in the price.
I reached out to Allegiantair to request a refund of the $150 payment for hotel only, but their response was incredibly rude and dismissive. They stated that the resort fees were mentioned on the payment page and refused to refund me. Despite my efforts to appeal the decision, and the screenshots clearly showing that paid price is total price inclusive of all the fees, subsequent communications from the company indicated that the case was closed. This lack of transparency and unhelpful customer service is just disgusting.Review fromShannon P
