I made the mistake of falling for a free golf bag offer on 12/12/24 from Patriot Golf., which when I called to get the bag I learned I had to "test" 3 fairway wood clubs. I had 45 days to test the clubs and if I was not satisfied I could return the clubs for full refund.I was immediately charged $584.38 for the "free" golf bag and clubs. This included $68.00 in shipping for a "free" bag and $17.43 in "processing fee" I didn't receive the clubs till February yet I had already been charged the $584.38 I tried the clubs and elected to keep one and return 2 of the clubs I followed the procedures to get a "return authorization" which was very painful as I had to almost beg to return the clubs, it was worse than a car buying experience as *** made every attempt to make me keep clubs offering me more clubs, putter and keeping clubs for $100.00 I should have returned all of them and this should have been a sign of things to come.I returned clubs at my cost and they were signed for and received on 2/18/25 at the return center.I have called 5 times to get my refund and I have been promised each time to see the refund in 24 hours.This company has a history of lying to customers and delaying refunds.Business Response

I have attached a copy of the invoice from December 2024 and I have hi-lighted the section that shows they process and "post" refunds in one billing cycle.
The statement that they want 2 billing cycles is inconsistent with their stated refund process and represents yet another delay to refund my money. Patriot Golf has had use of my $584.38 since December 12th and we are now nearly 4 months past and I am still having to fight for my refund of $332.00.
The clubs that were returned were received and inspected on February 20th 2024 and we are now close to 60 days since they had the returned items.
I reject their position of 2 billing cycles and insist they return my refund immediately.

Patriot Golf offers a deal they will give you a mini driver if you will try their three hybrids and give feedback. They make you pay up front for the 3 hybrids. They tell you that you can return within 3 months and get your Money back. My 3 months were up in December and I have made 8-10 phone calls to get a refund. Every time I call they say the same thing. Instead of a refund, they will send me more merchandise (irons, putters, etc). I have said multiple times I want my refund. They continually say they will call the account ting department where my mo ey is held up. I wait a few weeks and call again and get the same response. It is their way of doing business. I was solicited by phone by Patriot Golf to try their clubs. They required $497up front but had a money back guarantee and said you can even keep the wedges. I tried their clubs and promptly returned them because I did not like them. I returned the clubs in August and have made numerous calls asking where my $ 497 check is. I get the same runaround that it is in corporate . I looked at the BBB complaints and they all say the same . This is clearly a scam and needs to be stopped. On 4-6-23, I called Patriot Golf to inquire about their clubs. The salesman was extremely high-pressure. I eventually told him I thought I would rather be fitted personally and by a professional. However, again, he was very high pressure and I eventually purchased a set of ***** and was also given a "free" driver. I was told if I was not satisfied in any way that I could return the clubs, keep the driver, and would receive a credit for returned clubs. I was not satisfied and called Patriot Golf to inquire regarding the return process. Rather than give me that information, I was transferred to a salesman and each time I told him I wanted to return them, he would "sweeten the pot" so to speak. For example, rather than having me return them, they would send me an entire set of irons for an additional $99. There were several of those offers made each time I said I would really prefer to return the clubs. Eventually, I was provided with a RA number, and I returned the clubs on June 28, 2023 via ****. Return shipping fee was $51.95. The clubs were delivered to Patriot Golf on 6-30-23 at 11:14 a.m. As of today, February 28, 2025, I still have not received a refund. I also filed a dispute claim this date with my credit card company. I am rejecting this response because: Patriot Golf claims they cannot find an ** for this item and they further claim the clubs weren't returned.The return authorization number I was given is ** 68608-0622-WM. The clubs were shipped back to Patriot Golf via **** on 6/28/23 and delivered on 6/30/23 at 11:14 a.m., as is evidenced by the attached **** receipt. It cost an additional $51.95 to return the clubs.
It took repeated attempts to actually receive the ** number from Patriot Golf. Once it was received, however, the clubs were returned immediately. Unfortunately, my experience is like nearly every other complaint filed with the BBB regarding Patriot Golf.

I paid for this on a credit card and I believe that's the way it should be refunded. My understanding is that a check is being mailed. I would like to be provided with the check number as well as the tracking information provided to the business when the check was mailed. The company advised they would send a check. My option was to close the case or reject their response. I opted to reject the response because I didnt want the case closed without receiving the reimbursement first. I definitely dont wish for the case to be closed. The company finally admitted through this complaint that they owed the money. I would like for them to send a check and the case be closed at that time. In November I was offered to trial some of their clubs and provide feedback. In exchange, if I didn't like them, I could return for a full refund and keep the putter. I was told my card would not be billed until my clubs ship. I was billed the next week, but my clubs were not shipped and they were behind schedule so it would be a month or so I was told. I asked to cancel my order and was told a refund would be issued. A week later I sent an email again asking for a refund. They replied a refund would be issued. Here we are three months later and I keep getting told it's escalated and I will be paid my refund next cycle. This has been the same excuse and I have still not received a refund.Business Response

I ordered clubs for the free driver program through patriot golf in May of 2024. A couple weeks after i realized that there was a lot of reports of them scamming people so i decided i wanted to cancel my order. I spoke to someone on the phone and they said it was all set to cancel. A month later the golf clubs showed up. So I called them back and they said I could get a refund of ******. Patriot Golf regularly offers "money back guaranteed" golf club and/golf equipment purchases. On August 19, 2024, Patriot Golf offered "three hybrid gold clubs" for "money back guarantee" promotion, and I paid $498.00 for three hybrid clubs, plus $39.95 for shipping, plus $51.05 for tax, and $16.47 for processing fee, for a total of $605.48.I tried three hybrid clubs, but I did not like them. I then returned three hybrid clubs on 9/6/2024, and Patriot Golf confirmed the receipt of the hybrid clubs.Patriot Golf advised that it would usually take 2-4 weeks to process the refund, however, the refund has not been processed until this date. I have called ********************, and talked to the representative more than 5 times now, since it has been almost 5 months now. Every single time I have talked to the representative, Patriot Golf has advised me that a credit would be processed next week at the latest. My order was placed 5/1/24 for $595.85. This was a promotion that allowed me to use the product and return it for a full refund for any reason. I elected to return the golf clubs and was then given an offer to keep the clubs and receive a partial refund in the amount of $379.31 on 8/7/2024. This sounded reasonable so I agreed. I have multiple emails confirming this and stating the refund will credited back to my credit card. I continued to follow up via email until 11/7/24 and was continuously told they are working on getting this resolved. I then followed up by phone either weekly or bi-weekly and spoke with the manager ******. ****** gave me essentially the same answers as the email representative except he informed that because it had been so long they are now unable to credit my credit card and instead will be sending a paper check. I was told on multiple calls the accounting department would be calling me later that day and sending a confirmation email. I never received either. Now I have requested to speak to someone higher in the chain of command and again was met withthey will call you back. I am rejecting this response because: As documented in the attached emails. The refund was confirmed by Patriot Golf on August 7th 2024 and was to be returned to my credit card. After a follow up from myself, Patriot Golf responded on August 22nd 2024 stating the refund should appear on my account in "approximately one billing cycle." After yet another follow up from myself, Patriot Golf responded on November 7th 2024 with a response very similar to the one I am rejecting with this message. It stated, "Thank you for reaching out. I've sent over a request for a refund. I will do my best to get this resolved. I apologize for the delay and the frustrations caused by the delay." We are now 187 days and counting since the refund was confirmed by Patriot Golf. I do not know what "approximately one billing cycle" is defined as by Patriot Golf but I do find it hard to believe that it could equate to a period exceeding 6 months and 3 days.

I was solicited through GolfNow as "Youve been selected to receive the new F22 Raptor Wedge Set, FREE!" on 8/27/24, called the number for Patriot Golf (PG) and was given the promotion details:- PG will send me the wedge set free. In order to get the clubs, PG would send their new Fairway ***** for me to review/give feedback. - After Reviewing and giving the feedback, if the ***** don't perform better than my current set, I can sent them back and receive a refund. I received incorrect clubs, due to the new wedge set being only available in Right-Hand, after I was assured on the phone before I order that they would be custom to me. Original Order Listed Left Hand Clubs. The Order was shipped on 9/13/24 and was received 9/20/24. I called PG 10/4/24 to fulfill my obligation to provide feedback and review the fairway *****. I asked to send the clubs back and receive my refund. The **************** Supervisor told me "That's not exactly what you signed up for" then tried to pitch me several options to avoid paying the refund, ultimately ending with agreeing that PG would refund me $378 and that I would keep the clubs from the promotion. Since then, I have followed up with calls to ask about the refund, and have been told that the refund would be in the "Next Payment Cycle". After continued follow up, over several months, I have been told that the refund is Pending Accounting Approval. In January, I then asked to speak to someone that could bring a resolution. I was transferred to a Manufacturing Supervisor, and was told that he has sent a request to Corporate, should be cleared up in 48 hours. I have now called him several times, and been told the same thing over and over. I called today 1/30/25 and connected with the **************** Supervisor again. He tried to send me more product to let this situation go. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, I would strongly recommend a deeper look into this company. I have read numerous reviews, written by consumers, that have had to deal with similar situations. The company puts the return shipping expense on the consumer, then quotes a high shipping price, in order for the customer to elect to not ship the clubs back.
Also, I went through the company's recommended process to resolve my situation. I was not able to gain any traction until I reached out to the BBB. The **************** *** mentioned in an email, that she would have taken care of this issue regardless of the BBB complaint. I feel that Patriot Golf is a company with poor business practices and is seemingly purposeful in their efforts to not refund customers their money.
