    Makes it impossible to cance.. Never answers their phones and states they cannot cancel through email for "safety" reasons when its just a scam to keep charging you becauses you cant cancel.

    Got roped into this through a scam rental application. A company that seems to actually target those it claims to ‘protect’ I cant see any service they offer that can’t be obtained free elsewhere. Also **** near impossible to cancel…. Poor business.

    This is a scam! They have charged my account twice. You CAN NOT get anybody on the phone to cancel. I’ve tried multiple times. I’m actually on hold now AGAIN! All they say is all our on line customers service representative are with other customers and then will come back will another recording saying they will call you back. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS! I’m assuming at this point I’ll have to cancel my card to get this to stop!

    Identity IQ a scam!
    Tried this based on a 3rd party recommendation; I won't make that mistake again! I was told that I had a 2-week trial, but Identity IQ said it was 1 week (and their website indicates the same). Also, it was difficult to cancel this membership and they don't allow you to do it online! You have to call in by telephone and they are only available during certain hours. The wait times can be long, so it took me several tries to get through because I kept forgetting to call them (again) since I have other things going on in my life, just like everyone else.
    By the time I got through, I had already been charged. (I didn't have an extra $30 to waste on their inept services). While trying to cancel, they were repeatedly trying to upsell. It was ridiculous and I would definitely consider Identity IQ a scam! In the past, I have used some reputable services for identity theft such as **** and ********. I will definitely return to Aura after this horrible experience!
    I’ll be monitoring my card to be certain they don’t attempt to charge me again!

    Yes, it's a Scam. I didn't get my credit score. I was to get a short period (I think it was about 10 days) to use their services. I notified them on the second day to cancel any info that they have on me!
    Just as other complainants, they keep trying to charge me $29.95 every month! I will let my bank know so that it will never go through.

    I applied for a loan, next thing I know I have an unauthorized charge for $29.99. My bank blocked the charge. I did not give any credit card information so I have not a clue how they got it.

    Its a scam. I did it to get a credit score for a third party. My fault for not doing do diligence and researching the company before signing up. You get your credit report for $1 but they make it hard to cancel. Trick is when you call customer service (you will be on hold for a while before they answer), just be forceful and keep saying you want to cancel no matter what they say or how curt they get. Be curt with them. It avoided me having to hear 20 minutes of pitches to services I dont want as other reviews have mentioned. After being rude and showing no patience to their customer support, it only took me about 5 minutes to cancel on the phone. You really have to be a jerk to them. Stay on the line until you get an email conforming your cancelation. After that, keep an eye on your credit card statement. If they try to charge you again, have your credit card company block them from charging you.

    After I reported them to the Better Business Bureau my refund that I’ve asked for was finally accepted. The supervisor called me to apologize for the rude service I was given by one of their customer service representatives and said that they will be talked to. Terrible it has to go to that extreme to get a refund of money that you never authorized though.
    The company really needs to fix that because there’s a lot of others on here complaining about the same thing.

    Absolutely terrible. Like countless other reviews state, it's impossible to cancel. You can't do it online inside your account, it tells you to call. The account area specifically states:
    "MyScoreIQ Customer Service
    Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m CST.
    Call toll-free 800*637*5590
    Cancellation
    If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can cancel at any time to discontinue your monitoring membership. Cancellation must be made by calling our Customer Service department."
    I have called during their business hours repeatedly, waited on hold, and eventually a voice appears that says, "Due to technical difficulties, customer service cannot process your request at this time. Please call back in 10 minutes" When you call back hours later, same thing.
    I encourage everyone to do what I'm doing: note your calls and times and file a chargeback. Then get your bank to issue you a new card. I'm also looking into contacting the California Attorney General's office as well. These are deceptive practices at best and criminal practices at worst and go against pretty much every consumer protection law there is.
