First National Collection Bureau Inc. does not have a license to operate/collect debt in Washington state, where I live. Washington state is a closed-border state, all out of state debt collectors must have a license to collect debt from debtors in Washington state, therefore First National Collection Bureau Inc. is trying to collect a debt from me illegally. I'm requesting First National Collection Bureau Inc. to stop contacting me via phone, email, and mail. I also request First National Collection Bureau Inc. to stop any further attempt to collect this debt or I will be reporting them to my state's attorney general's office for trying to collect a debt while not being licensed in my state.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. It says you obtained the license in 2023, but I'm pretty sure y'all have been coming after me before that, so you were still trying to collect from me illegally, oh well though.
Sincerely,

They say I spent money on PayPal and they're collecting for that but my debt was settled by a different debt company, Midland Credit. And it also doesn't make any sense because it should say synchrony was the original debtor not PayPal; that's who issued the credit/debt: Synchrony. But now this company keeps harassing me. They say the last use of my credit was 12/2022. But my credit was cancelled months prior to that. And "PayPal" is not the one who issued the debt. It was a PayPal account but it was synchrony, who lent me that credit.Business Response

Dear Consumer,
First National Collection Bureau, Inc. has received your complaint.
After reviewing the account and reviewing the complaint with the client - the following is being provided:
November 2017, PayPal announced it
had agreed to sell $5.8 billion in consumer credit receivables to Synchrony
Financial as a part of an expanded relationship between the two companies
With the completion of the transaction, PayPal and Synchrony have extended
their existing co-brand consumer credit card program agreement, and Synchrony is now the exclusive issuer of the PayPal
Credit online consumer financing program in the U.S., through 2028. As the debt was / is with Synchrony Bank, it is also categorized as Pay Pal.We would like to forward the proof that you paid Midland Credit to our client. Please provide that to our mailing address or our email address. The addresses are below. We will not contact you again in regards to this account.

This company has been attempting to collect a debt that was paid over a year ago. Their contact person was very rude & threatening.Business Response
Date: 09/12/2023
Dear Consumer,
First National Collection Bureau, Inc. has received your complaint and reviewed the account.
After listening to the call with the 1st agent, we have concluded that the agent was not rude and not threatening. She stated that you initially said that the account was not yours and then changed it to "I already paid that". She was merely trying to understand if it was "debt unknown" or "paid prior". We apologize if you felt the agent was rude or threatening.
Your complaint has been forwarded to the client and the account is now closed in our office.
