    I thought I was applying on an irs government site for an EIN for a business. However, this is a private site that's asking for a huge some of money. I placed my personal information on the site: name, address, social security number (of which I am really concerned), email, phone number. I want my personal information deleted from their server and web site. ASAP.

    Business portrays to be IRS.Gov a Federal Government website when in fact prior to inputting vital personal information this business never discloses they are not the government or discloses they are a 3rd party not affiliated with the Federal Government IRS then captures the information including SSN information with no avenue to erase such information after discovery for their nefarious intent.
    This will be reported to the IRS as well

    This site is a scam and has fields capturing data including social security numbers. I made the mistake of entering PII including my SSN and when I realized I was not on the IRS site I closed out of the browser (and didn't save any information either) but the site clearly is capturing and sharing data. I am extremely concerned now that my information will be used for identity theft since someone called and also texted me using the information! This site is a scam and should be shut down immediately!!!

    I needed to apply for an EIN for my small business, and started to apply on irs-ein-tax-id.com, which is owned and operated by Govt Assist LLC. Once I got to the end of the form, they tried to charge $329, which raised a red flag. I looked it up online, and the IRS does not charge for an EIN. I didn't pay the 'fee', but am furious that this company now has my SS# and other information under the guise of being the IRS. I want all my information deleted by this company, and for them to stop contacting me (I've already received an email from them 15 minutes after exiting their site)

    My financial advisor told me to apply for a EIN number to start the paperwork after my mother passed away. He said be careful make sure IRS is in the address. I then proceeded to look for IRS website to apply for EIN. I literally didn't know this was a free service provided by IRS and after checking a page of websites this IRS-EIN-tax-id site seemed legit and I paid $329.00. Sent the number to my advisor and he said "this is a free service", you were scammed. OK, great now I don't know if my number is legit. I wish for some kind of refund. I'm 65 and on limited income. The website should say in Bold Letters on first page that this service will cost you xxx$$.
    I'm embarrassed I didn't catch it, but feel like my personal information will be stolen or sold. They have CC and SS information. I wish for all my information to be erased at the very least.

    I filled out an online form expecting to receive an EIN from the IRS to establish an estate account but discovered this business has no connection to the IRS. I was charged for the transactions. I wish to have my information removed and a refund from this site.

    I thought I was on the official IRS website and applied for an EIN for my sole proprietorship. I was not until the form was submitted that I found out that there was a cost and I could not get the number until a paid this Govt Assist, LLC company for passing on the information I provided. I want my personal information deleted from their server and to stop them from sharing my personal information with any other company or for ever using it again themselves. This is a very deceptive business practice and should be stopped.

    I was about to travel to the US for a business trip and just wanted to do the ESTA online registration. Instead of hitting the actual government site, I ended up on this one

    I thought I was filling all of my information into an official government site, but at the very end realized my mistake. I want my information deleted from this site as fast as possible. Luckily I did not pay anything yet.

    I applied online for an EIN on 11/24/23 using Govt Assist, LLC. I completed their application, and paid $249 thinking that this was a government website. After speaking another business owner, I realized I had been misled, as this is a free service offered by the government. I emailed them to cancel my transaction, get a refund and have my information deleted, but have not received a response yet.

Govt Assist, LLC is NOT a BBB Accredited Business.
