I bought a car from victory 2/28/23. I was charged for four different insurance totaling over $6000 that I did not want or need. They barely mentioned it just saying in case the car gets stolen or someone stole the catalytic converters the cars covered. Had no idea they were charging it all to me and for thousands of dollars! They were very manipulative and deceptive! I feel like I walked right into a huge scam! They bounced me between 2 different buildings and 5-6 different people. I drove over 3 hours for a car I saw online listed for $15000. They ended up charging me $25000! My trade in they told me they gave me ************************************ $500. Was never showed any kind of itemized bill even though I had asked. Was only given a memory stick when I was leaving. That I had no way of looking at until I was home. Ive been calling them nonstop am either told managers going to call me or left on hold. The car now two days later has all these warning on. Which there wasnt any when I bought it. Very obvious it was all just cleared off with device. Everything about this entire purchase was very shady! I dont know the words to express the show they put on? Almost like a magician all done with the sleight of hand. Look this way when everything is happening over there. This place should really be shut down. I cant even guess the number of people theyve robbed

I purchased a vehicle from victory mitsubishi in the bronx, ** in two days i decided i didnt want the vehicle. I was told if i didnt like the vehicle i can return it within 30 days and now Im being told i cant return at all. Through the used car bill of rights of *** i have two weekdays to cancel the contract

      Business Response

      Date: 03/01/2023

The *** two-weekday return policy was declined by yourself cause you wanted to take the possession of the vehicle. Should you have wanted to be able to exercise your right to cancel the vehicle would of had to have stayed on our lot. Please review the contract cancellation rules, it explains it thoroughly what happens.

The dealership sold me a car and after I signed the paperwork was told the check engine light came in. I told **** that I no longer wanted the car. He told me I had to take it because I signed the paperwork. The car lost power on the highway from the maltrain malfunction. They tried to fix it 3x. The car broke down when I was driving outta town. They over charged me for the car. They also had the car for over a month trying to fix it. This car dealership is a rip off. They charged me for things I did not agree to. I was told the car was ******. And I was charged ****** for the car. With all the extra charges it came up to ****** for a use basic **** I also informed the loan company the next day that the car needed severe repairs and I was no longer interested in the loan. They told me they canceled the loan which was a lie. This business is a rip off and they refuse to follow the lemon law.

This is a case of false advertising. All the cars on their website are not the price as advertised on their website. Not even close. I drove to their dealership, waited 6 hours to get a price on a few vehicles that were advertised. For example an Outlander SEL is advertised for $31K and the lowest price they would give was $38K. When asked why the website has a different price, they couldn't give a proper explanation. I also asked about leasing the car. Advertised the car is $391 per month. The best price he could give me was $600 It is a clear case of false advertising which is illegal. He could not offer any car in the lot at the prices advertised. The agents name is ******. I just want to get the price that is advertised.

      Business Response

      Date: 02/21/2023

The online advertisement, like no other advertisement for any vehicle, does not include any of the sales tax associated with the registered owner's residence. I.e. someone buying from ** would pay **'s tax as opposed to someone who may reside in **, which would lead to a different tax rate. The figures you mentioned seems to include that, which may be the source of discrepancy.

This is not about the sales tax.  They advertise cars for 30K and then ask for 38K in the office, not including the sales tax.

There is clear false advertising going on with this business.

The business is not addressing the complaint.  I need them to guarantee the price that is being advertised.  I realize the price doesn't include tax and title, however the price was not honored when I came in person.  This is called false advertising.   If they can honor the advertised price then I am ready to purchase the car.

I got bait and switched, I got charges added to my contract that we did not agree to in person and fraud was ABSOLUTELY done. First off, I made an account with them online which is where I picked out the car I actually wanted from the start! The car had ****** miles which is what I was going for. First off, the salesperson **** only came to me the most 5 times and every-time he was *******. He knew what car I wanted because he wrote down the *** number and stock number. He got my SSN as went to run a credit check. He come an hour or more later to tell me that my credit wasnt getting them anywhere. This is when my girlfriend stepped in and co-signed. After that, he came back and said that it had went through but we had to put down a down payment. I put down a ***** down payment . After another hour, he comes back and says the car you wanted was sold but we got you a 2020 . I was a little confused but followed him and we went to see the car. Upon going to the car, I noticed it had over 20k MORE miles than we had agreed. I let him know my concern and he says well you already put down a down payment. The car needs to leave today. Basically these people kept pressuring me knowing my concern. On top of this, my girlfriends father had agreed to let us use his STATEFARM insurance. When we called statefarm there was a little issue so the salesman said to hang up. We hung up and he started becoming frustrated. He took it UPON HIMSELF to put my father in laws information and make another insurance under his name and ssn without my gfs consent. I got the car appraised and its worth 21k. They sold me this car for 27k which is 6k more than its worth(not including all the unnecessary fees). The right resolution would be to take off all the unnecessary fees (which = to around $8,000) and to please let me switch the car to one with lesser miles (around ****** miles is what I want). I wasnt shown any documents until 3 mins until they closed and was forced to sign.

Clear bait and switch automobile dealer - I have 3 screenshots of different areas of website claiming a car was $20,955 and went to test drive the car and they claimed that was not correct and the car was $27, 000. They also refused to honor the price. I was willing to write a check for the full amount on the spot and they claimed they don't take cash and their dealership was a finance only institution? Total lies and bait and switch. They need to be held accountable. I should be able to purchase the car for the amount advertised, period. They advertised it and there's nothing on the website stating they don't accept cash.

Victory Mitsubishi, sounds ok on paper but when you show up on location you regret you the second you walk into the location. Classic bait and switch dealer. The dealership posted advertisements on their website for vehicles they do not actually have, classic bait and switch. Called and spoke to their chat representatives regarding 3 vehicles I was interested in. Both the phone and chat representatives said the vehicles were available right before I went to the dealership, however all 3 vehicles were "sold recently" and said that the chat and phone reps don't have the information on whether a vehicle is sold or not nd asked if I was interested in anything else, gave them my price range and without even checking said they have no cars available in that price range even though if you look at their site they have multiple listings that are within that price range. All of their sales rep uses their personal phones to look up information and they fill out paperwork on an open floor and it is really easy to eavesdrop into another sale and get another buyer's personal information. I spoke to another furious customer who was telling me that they refused to let him buy a car without financing even though he said he has the cash for it outright. Avoid this place, all the red flags of a bad dealership.

Victory Mitsubishi is a high volume store that does retail a significant amount of vehicles. At no point in any part of our sales process do we ask anyone to repeat back any personal information, if we need to discuss any personal information it is done in a closed office. In any case, we thoroughly apologize for the experience. I tried to look your information up to reach out directly, but unfortunately no contact information was left.
