      Insurance Check Claim ***** **** $21,603.85 M&T has continually and purposefully given me incorrect information in efforts to stall RELEASING INSURANCE CLAIM CHECK to me. The roof is 100% complete and inspection report was received by M&T on Dec 19th (they sent an email stating they received the report, their employee was sent out to inspect that the roof was completed) The check was overnighted to M&T and received on Dec 24th 2024. By Dec 27th the check had "been processed" and I was told 2-3 business days to release the check which would be 100% of the funds. I called on Dec 30th to ask for tracking number and she stated the check had been deposited into MY bank account. I asked employee how that is possible when I have never given them my account info and she stated it is because I have a mortgage that I pay through my bank account, so they do have my account info. She stated 100% of the funds have been approved for release due to completed inspection. I called back on Dec 31st to get a tracking number and was told that the funds were deposited as of TODAY Dec 31st and it will take 2-3 business days to cut a check, they will be overnighting the money via *****. I called on Jan 2 2025 to ask for the tracking number and they still have not sent a check. I called again on Jan 3rd to get a tracking number and was told that it will take 5 biz days to cut a check and I will NOT be receiving 100% of the funds, they are sending it out in 2 different payments. There is NO REASON to be withholding MY MONEY to pay for a completed job which contractor needs to be paid M&T is deceitful /stall as long as they can in order to hold onto MY money and gain interest off of it. There should be no reason why any insurance claim check sent to a bank is held onto by the bank for more than 3 business days. This is an electronic process and should have a quick turn around when the job is 100% complete and has been inspected by their employee PRIOR to receiving the insurance check.

      1. Overview of My Loan Experience with M&T:
      I recently closed on a new home on December 3, 2024, but my original closing date was November 26, 2024. The delay caused significant inconvenience as I had planned my move around Thanksgiving. I respectfully request M&T Bank to credit me the $697.65 rate lock extension fee.

      2. Issues with M&T Bank:

      Late Loan Document Submission:
      The title company required loan documents by Monday, November 25, 2024, but M&T delivered them on Tuesday morning, past the cut-off. This delay was due to no closer being assigned to my case on Monday.

      Rate Lock Extension Cost:
      My original rate lock expired on November 27, 2024, but the closing delay forced me to extend it, incurring a cost of $697.65. Neither M&T nor the title company took responsibility for this cost, leaving me to pay it, despite having done nothing wrong.

      Delayed CD and Loan Documents:
      The CD and loan documents were sent late, leaving insufficient time for review by ****** ***** and me, which contributed to the closing delay.

      5. Responsibility Breakdown:
      While ****** ***** could have provided better feedback to M&T, I believe M&T bears the majority of the responsibility:
      a. The CD and loan documents were sent late, leaving insufficient time for proper review.
      b. M&T did not prioritize my case to meet established deadlines.

      6. My Request for Resolution:
      In light of the inconvenience, financial cost, and lack of competitive service, I respectfully request M&T Bank to credit me the $697.65 rate lock extension fee as a gesture of goodwill.

      7. Final Thoughts:
      I complied with every requirement and responded promptly during this process. Despite my efforts and the great support I received from my loan officer, the delays and additional costs caused by inefficiencies in M&T's system were frustrating. I hope M&T takes this feedback seriously to improve its processes for future customers.

      On October 21,2024… i TRIED to purchase 3 ticket to a ************** ***** ****** game for $3936.41 from ***** ***** ( ticket reseller) . I tried to download these tickets and they wouldn’t download, the two different times called ***** *****, they gave me “tech help” but we still couldn’t download. After spending up to 3 hours trying to download, i called ***** ***** and they told me to sell tickets. I replied and said I can’t sell tickets if i never received tickets. After no success with ***** *******, i told them i would dispute the charge with my credit card issuer, M&T bank. I sent M&T screen shots of conversions with ***** ***** and ***** ***** has to know there wasn’t a download!!! After waiting a few weeks, M & T sided with ***** ***** and no credit on something so obvious as not even receiving the tickets. Those tickets must’ve be sold again by ***** ***** is my thought. I called M&T on dec 20 and spoke to two individuals including a supervisor who after explaining what happened said she would put in recommendation to open the case and told me to call back in a few days. I called today and they did not reopen the case and never called. The photos i sent to M& T were so clear a case of fraud on ***** ***** and i don’t even see how M& T wouldn’t stand up with a very reputable customer. Please help me

      Yesterday, I contacted your bank regarding a full property deed transfer to **** ******* at the property located at ***** ******** ******* ***** ******** *** *****. I am requesting that your bank enforce the Due on Sale Clause as soon as possible, as I do not possess any deed rights to the property. The mortgage remains in my name, and I would like to have it removed within the next thirty days to avoid the need to hire another attorney to pursue legal action against you and **** ******* for breach of contract. I am unable to purchase another house until the mortgage is completely out of my name. I am a mentally disabled veteran who was taken advantage of in regards to this property. I have not resided there since 2016. The property deed was transferred in 2022. Please enforce the Due on Sale Clause so that I can remove the mortgage and purchase another property for my newborn son and myself.

      I’m writing regarding a late payment that came up on my credit report as a result of an account that was opened by M&T bank without me wanting the account.
      I’m a client of M&T bank since 2009. My relationship with them is related to my business account ***** ****. At no point was I interested in establishing a personal relationship with them. However, over the years I was pushed to open a personal account that I don’t use much. It is not my primary personal account. As part of this personal account I wasn’t interested in, they also attached an overdraft line of credit, that I’m also not interested in. I don’t think I ever went overdraft on my active accounts and it’s not a product I would agree to open.

      Over the years, I never checked this account and kept a minimal balances. However, I was unaware the account pulled a deposit from the overdraft account I did not know I had. I was not notified of this issue until 60 plus days after the overdraft line was pulled and a negative remark issued to my credit.

      This should be removed for two reasons:
      1. I never wanted to open a personal account or overdraft line
      2. The overdraft line should’ve been set up on autopay and been on my online banking. It never showed up as an open active account on my online login.Moreover, in case of a shortfall in the bank account, they should’ve repulled from the overdraft again until the overdraft was maxed out. Instead, M&T made one pull and allowed it to go beyond 30 days in order to tarnish my credit and collect unjustified fees.
      I'm in the process of working a business loan and this is causing real harm to me and my business due to increase rates and denials.
      I request the immediate removal of this inaccurate item

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. As stated, I was pushed to open a personal checking account that I rarely use. As part of the checking account they made me sign the Overdraft LOC without my knowledge and presented it as part of the checking account. I am not interested in having an overdraft line of credit and never was.  I only became aware of it when it was reported to credit as late. The LOC was not set up online to ensure I didn't notice it snuck in during account opening. In addition, if it was snuck in, it should've been set up for automatic payment, as is standard practice on overdraft lines.  The wrong name on the checking account caused by M&T not verifying my information may also be causing the mail not to get delivered, further inhibiting my ability to receive statements from my checking account.  I will be deciding if and what next steps to take to hold M&T accountable.

      M and T bank delayed delivery of my paycheck to my checking account on December 6, 2024 for 2 weeks thus causing me financial hardship. I request a compensation in the amount of $3000 (full amount of undelivered paycheck) for the major inconvenience and expenses caused by this delay of my principal income that I entrusted to M&T bank.

      EZChoice Checking (****) was opened online and appeared in the online portal with no issues end of November. I informed my employer the bank info and my employer attempted to make the direct deposit to my account at M and T bank on December 6. The deposit was returned by M and T bank without contacting me about any issue. I monitored my online banking with M and T bank that shows the account and was not informed about any issue.

      Attached are the messages and other phone call records, of attempts to pay my loan off in full. Due to M&T banks, "technical difficulties" and having called customer service 5 times, and getting no where, I have been charged interest now for 2 months. If they would resolve the issue, I would have been able to pay my loan off on 11/10/24, therefore NO INTEREST would have accumulated on my account. Due to their lack of customer service, my call has been disconnected multiple times because they transfer me, hang up, or put me on hold for several minutes and then the call is ended by M&T bank. I get no where and now have paid off the loan in full, that has accumulated several hundred dollars of interest that would otherwise have not been applied if they would have fixed the issue and allowed me to pay it the first 3 times I tried. Customer service says they cannot refund my interest and I should have just kept calling until I got someone to resolve the issue, but each time, along with multiple messages on their online banking, I get sent around and around, ending where I began. I again have now paid it off in full because I do not know what else to do, but they are literally SCAMMING me out of hundreds of dollars because they would not resolve the original issue that caused the account to go for two billing cycles.

      I am a landlord and have recently opened a new checking account with M&T bank in La Fayette NY. My tenants have different methods of payment. I have been renting my house to my tenants for 20+ years and have never had issues depositing their checks.

      When I brought in checks for deposit the bank flagged the checks as fraudulent. The reason Edward L*****, senior relationship banker, gave was due to "rent" written in the memo. When I asked a second time why they accused me of fraud, they accused me of not taking care of my rental property.

      M&T bank flagged my name and reported me to the fraud department. To resolve this, I spoke to Edward, the fraud department, and a customer service manager, Tina. Tina informed me that this must be resolved with the local branch. After 3 attempts, there is no resolution.

      I asked Edward to provide in writing, documentation of accusations against me. He refused and told me to leave the bank. I complied.

      My source of income as a landlord is being withheld. They are refusing to deposit, cash, or return the checks. Edward is insisting that I close my account immediately. Also, I asked him to file a criminal report to investigate the potential fraud. He refused.

      M&T said I should ask my tenants for another check, without providing written reason why these checks did not go through. My tenants have already paid for December. I cannot morally demand them to write another check when it was not their mistake.

      M&T blocked me from online banking and locked my account. I am not able to transfer my funds to ********, my retirement. They had misinformed me multiple times reassuring me I could continue transferring money to ********, when in fact they did not release my funds. Due to this, I received 3 ******** violations. Now my retirement account is locked.

      I need an official letter from the bank stating what I did wrong, however they are refusing to provide documentation and are withholding funds without proper justification.

      You failed to address all the complaints we have had with

      claimed in your response that we were given a list of required
      documentation to provide to the bank, this is not true, we were NOT
      given any list as of 1/1/2025. Without this list, we don’t know what
      you want from us. PLEASE PROVIDE A SPECIFIC LIST so that we may fulfill
      its requirements. We
      request a written reason for why we were blocked online from viewing the
      contents/transactions of our account (proof attached). It was stated that
      our information was hidden from us because of an investigation of alleged
      fraud on the account, what is the fraud?  What is the result of your
      investigation? and why do you have to hide our own account to do this?
      Please provide proof of which check was fraudulent. You
      falsely stated in your letter that there was no fee of $35 for the alleged
      fraudulent check. I have evidence that I was charged $35, and I will prove
      it once I have access to my account. We
      request a written explanation as to why I need a commercial account
      if I am renting my own property. M&T
      stated that we did not have sufficient funds to transfer to ********, this
      is not true, the funds were sufficient, and I have paper receipts to prove
      it. On 12/11/2024 we were transferring $5,200 and we had available
      $6,021.26. All the evidence is attached. Since
      you froze our account and blocked us from viewing, we need a document of
      all the transactions and how much funds were transferred to ********. Every
      time we communicate with M&T bank we are being falsely accused of a
      different thing; this makes very difficult for people to trust you as a
      business entity.
