      I spoke with three (3) M&T Customer Service reps this morning. The first two (2) reps gave me incorrect information causing me to call another company for a refund on a payoff. Upon verifying the correct dollar amount was sent in by a third party, I called a third M&T Customer Service rep who verified the first two reps gave me incorrect information and I was due a refund from M&T and not from the third party. It appears M&T needs to train their employees how to read the software accurately. I have not been able to view my account since it was paid off making it unnecessarily confusing. I should be able to open the account to see it was paid off and a refund is due to me rather than forcing me to make several phone calls to only get incorrect information two of the three times.

      I am currently on hold with the M&T Bank Fraud Support line, it got to 2hours and 15minutes, and they just hung up on me after 2 hours and 15minutes no answer, no response, line dropped. This lack of customer care is infuriating. They placed a hold on both my savings and debit card, so I can't even access my own money. This is definitely the WORST banking experience I've ever had.
      M&T if you read this, you really need to do better, this is awful customer service and response times.

      I did just that, and still no resolution. Apparently I am waiting for one single person to unlock my accounts. I was told to expect a call from this person. No call today. I went to a branch to inquire, they couldn’t get ahold of this person. What it comes down to is M&T has too much control over my money.
      So the canned response to call them yielded no positive results. What’s the next step M&T?

      Watch it with mandtbank did a purchase at ****** beware of them after seeing they charged my acoout 6 times I called my bank when talking to my bank they did nothing only put in a complaint now my bank account is over drafted and no one can help me so please beware of company's

      Planning on closing my accounts with the banks asap. I been using them for over 10 years and its obvious to see they only care about $ not the customers. I got scammed unfortunately for $800, called the bank, they made me go through this whole process only for them to tell me they can't help and lost my $800. Thanks

      Absolutely horrible. Shut off my card on black Friday for an unusual purchase. I've been on hold for 2 hours waiting for the fraud department so they can turn it back on. Customer service was useless and was "sorry for the inconvenience" - it's way more than an inconvenience. I can't even buy gas now...... I'm hopeful that someone answers tonight and if not, will the actual bank be able to help me tomorrow?

      Worse customer service. Every time I call, wait time is well over an hour, no matter what day or what time of day. They blocked my card and fraud department haven’t picked up after 1.5 hours. Not acceptable.

      This bank has been giving me the runaround on my mortgage for the last 2 years and they are currently in the process of trying to steal my house before Christmas!!!!! Zero stars, do not use avoid avoid avoid

      HORRIBLE BANK. Tried to set up automatic payments with them more than 3 times. Signed authorization and brought the account “up to date” more than once each time with their agent assuring me that this would take care of it and we would be all set only to receive notice that the account was past due time and again.. each time we paid all the fees and went through the same process. Wake up to our truck being REPOSSESSED with no notice from them whatsoever. This is for a truck currently worth about 80k that we owe 36k on. They told us we need to deal with the repossession department to get it back and they have told us to call back in two hours multiple times because they have no information on the “fees” we need to pay. The repo people are milking the clock to charge more for storage instead of letting us bring the account current in a timely manner. Every m and t representative has been rude and not helpful. STRONGLY recommend a different bank. We’ve had a great relationship with ****** finance and if you need a business auto loan THEY are the best. M and T is a joke and doesn’t care about their customers whatsoever. Everything is a hassle with them. They got the address on our loan wrong and initially sent the notices to the wrong address so we didn’t even know about any of this. Just not worth the hassle. If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. We are people that pay our bills and have very good/excellent credit and are being treated like delinquents due to THEIR errors. Just use a new bank.

      The absolute worst banking institution that I have ever delt with. Waites 2 hrs. of my time last night try to unlock my account. Why didn't they say the if you have a VPN, you can't access your account. And now (the next day) I'm still locked out and cannot get anyone on the phone. I'm closing all my accounts and going else were.
