      It seems supervisors are clueless as to how to close my special needs sister’s checking account after she passed away. The account was in both of our names. Need to invoke my state rep for help.

      Worst mortgage bank ever! I am misplaced due to a fire in my home. M&T has an overly complicated system (one that doesn't work) for trying to get an insurance check endorsed so that the homeowner can make repairs. Please! Hire someone to correct the bugs on the website. *******************.com is a joke.

      Since the merger of Peoples and M&T banks, I’ve had nothing but issues with my cards and the customer service is easily the worst of any institution I’ve had to deal with. The wait times, especially the fraud dept where I was kicked to because I was leaving the country, are absolutely unacceptable for any business. I’m pulling my money and would recommend everyone else do the same.

      I've spent 4+ HOURS on hold with the fraud department and can't reach a human. Customer service says this is the only department that can authorize the transaction so I'm stuck waiting on hold.
      NO ONE ANSWERS AND NOW I CANT PAY MY RENT. PLEASE HELP!!! THIS IS INFURAITNG.

      M&T has been terrible. I also have had my online account blocked for no reason. Now after calling the number on the website they have transferred me to the fraud department which has had me holding for 45 minutes. Last week their bill pay did not work either. They put me on hold for an hour before I hung up and paid with another bank. CFPB should really get involved here.

      I disputed a charge on my account because the store refused to refund me and was credited the money until the investigation was concluded! They reversed the credit without the investigation being complete and put my account negative without the investigation being complete and now they money will be taken out of my personal check for their mix up and they refuse to do anything about it! These people are so unprofessional and the worst bank to bank with! Peoples Bank was so much better at handling their customers needs! From the transition from switching banks I have had a horrible experience and will be switching my bank when this is all situated! This bank is horrible and I don't recommend anyone to open an account with them! This bank sucks

      M&T hides the fact that it charges its own customers $1 per "mini statement" transaction at its ATMs. They do not put a notice on the ATM screen saying "We're ripping you off $1 for a tiny piece of paper with about 2 transactions on it." And the ATM does not even spit out a receipt at the end to show all of these charges. The ATM just keeps encouraging you to unknowingly pay more by asking "More transactions of this type?" You click yes and M&T charges another $1. And another.

      M&T bank or its employees are terrible I went into a M&T bank earlier today to cash a check from my employer who banks with M&T told me that they could not cash my M&T check because they could not verify the check from the bank.

      I was a People’s United client for years. M&T buying them out was a bad move. Terrible transotion. No PIN when my debit card arrived. I’ve had several legitimate transactions declined due to “fraudulent intent.” Terrible place to keep your money.

      THE WORST. I was a peoples united customer for years. This merger has been an absoultly terrible exprience. I am currently on hold for pushing 2 hours for an issue with my card. Multiple people at the call center (where they answer the phone) have told me this is the only department that can fix my issue and there is no other number than the one where they apparently don't answer.
      Will be taking my personal and business accounts elsewhere!
