3 starsThe people are super helpful but I have consistent issues with their online banking. If they're doing maintenance on it, I have zero access to my account both the website and the app. Trying to login results in "failed login attempts" which would force me to reset my password....again. The service is not always convenient. I also have fraud alert on my account but even though I've done the necessary steps, it still becomes an inconvenience when I have to prove it's me every single time.Review fromBraulio V

1 starM&t bank,does not care about their customer, they will respond that they do to call them at their number, i regret doing business with them and wish i never accepted their financing. I have my account escrowed with M&T and they are the worst, my husband is a veteran and we had our property excempt. Not only did we send all the paperwork in to have the taxes taken off our escrow, they have not removed it. We sent the every single letter from every agency and yet they still have not yet correct it. The time and the money this company has costed me, they should now be sending me a check

M&T bank is extremely low quality
M&T bank is a low quality, outdated with technology, old fashion bank. their customer service is completely absent to assist the customer properly. their policies are so strict that forgets the etiquettes to properly serve their customers, I wish I could place -10000 as their ratings and I wish i had never done business with them. If you want to have a million to none service do business with them. I will never use them again. If you pay a loan off they will close all forms of communication with the customer and no assistance is provided after that. you will not be a valuable customer no more.M&T Bank

I wouldnt widh this horrible company on my worse enemy. They are scammers I have issue with them all the time modifying checks. Then when I call to make a payment they refuse it and say they cant take it over the phone ***? My loan unfortunately was sold to these scum bag criminals and there was nothing I can do. So I am looking for an attorney to take em to court.

The day before Thanksgiving I went into my account to check in and noticed there was a negative $250 balance I called right away to find out what was going on and no one knew the answer but yet he told me it would be cleared by Friday I did not have much faith in her I called Friday because it still was not done I was told at that time I needed to go into the bank and open up a case because there was not one open I went in I opened up the case I was very upset and was told that by the latest Saturday I would have my money come Saturday I called because still not cleared and was told that nobody worked in that department on Saturdays so I would have to wait until Monday for it to be cleared today is Monday and it was still not cleared I had to call the bank to find out what was going on, I was told the girl I worked with was on lunch I asked to talk to the bank manager she was not in I waited a half hour I called talked with the girl she didn't know why it was not cleared yet and was going to talk with the bank manager I waited one hour and called only to be told the both of them were on a call with another Patron which made no sense to me since I was promised they would get back to me I finally had to call before 4:00 she talked with the bank manager and they were doing it right there it was done but it's still not going to get cleared until midnight tonight I have no faith left in this bank after 15 years I liked it when it was the other bank I knew them and they knew me and I was treated with respect I will be taking my business to another bankM&T Bank

They are a scam. Please never do any business with this bank. They increase interest rate without your knowledge which means you'll never pay the loan off. They constantly prevent you from access to your account to pay your loan bills or to look into your account for any reason. I received a promotion offering a $600 reward for offering a new account. I opened an account. I tried repeatedly to fund the account from another bank account but I kept getting error messages. I went to my other bank and initiated a connection that way (where they send a few little test deposits and then you confirm the amount). The next weekend I went back to confirm the test deposit amounts. M&T had closed my account. My M&T login was already deactivated. I called M&T and was told no one could help me and I had to find a local branch and go there and talk to someone in person. Oh well - I don’t have the time to fight this. Not sure if the whole thing was just a scam? Very disappointed. Bad customer service all around.M&T Bank
